You'd think that after banking with a local credit union since childhood, and seeing them help members through tough times, you could expect the same treatment. Well, not with MyCredit Union! First off, what a horrifically awful, confusing, and laughable name. Not only did they claim they were sending me eStatements about my credit card not being reneweddespite the fact that I was already enrolled in eStatementsbut they also refused to help when I lost my job and had no income. They made no effort to stop overdraft fees from piling up, and now theyre threatening to put me on ChexSystems because my account is negative. The only reason its negative is because of those overdraft feesthere are no other transactions. This credit union offers terrible incentives, poor service, and operates with an outdated website, mobile app, and communication system. Youre much better off with a national bank like SoFi or even ****************. MyCU only cares about those actively contributing to their bottom line. Forget any long-term loyalty. Its all about "what have you done for me lately." Sure, that might be the name of the game sometimes, but after being with them for over 20 yearsand with my family banking with them for over 30 yearsits baffling how they fail to recognize or reward loyalty. They truly embody late-stage capitalism. If you're looking for a bank that treats you like a homeless vagrant, this credit union is perfect for you. If you have money with them, I suggest closing your accounts and taking your assets somewhere that actually cares. I cant believe theyre still in business.
