On December 30, 2022, a Watson Appliance employee came to our house at ************************************ to fix a broken latch/lock on our front loader washer (Maytag). After the Watson employee was at our home, he said that he "needed some different supplies" and left our home without explaining the issue. He then returned in January 2023 to "finish" the job of fixing the latch/lock for our washer. He charged us $454 for the labor and the part.March 2024 - the washer stopped working and we contacted the retailer (****** ****************** to troubleshoot the issue. Two ****** Appliance employees came to our house on Tuesday, March 26, to put in a new circuit board. After installing the new circuit board, the washer blew a significant spark and broke the washer. Upon further investigation, the ****** Appliance team confirmed that when the Watson Appliance employee came to fix our washer, he actually BROKE it. He broke the wiring harness clip and rather than telling us, he claimed that he didn't have the correct parts. When he returned in January 2023, he used a clip that was not meant to replace the harness clip and incorrectly rewired the machine. The Watson Appliance employee should have replaced the lock/latch through the boot and it should have taken less than 1 hour. Wires and a harness clip should have never been touched. He not only RUINED our washer, but he created a FIRE HAZARD confirmed by ****** Appliance Center. it was "just a matter of time" for it to spark out the circuit board. The Watson employee broke the washer, leaving us without a washer for nearly a month in Dec 2022/Jan 2023 and in the process, created a fire hazard that could have caused significant damage. Since the "fix" was no fix at all, we are again without a functioning washer. Due to your Watson's negligence, dishonesty, and shoddy work, we are requesting a refund of the original amount paid to Watson for the "repair" as well as full replacement cost for a new washer.

Watson Appliance repaired our Capital Range/Oven April 2024. We paid $588.57 for a part that had to be ordered through their parts department: Thermostat Oven Broil. The technician left the old part and packaging for the new part. I did a web scrape on the web and found three different outlets that sold the same part: Fisher & Paykel Part #210779. Prices were $261.17, $279.70 and $241.95, with an average price of $260.94. Watson's in theory marked up the part installed by 226%. I can understand a reasonable mark-up on a part however 226% seems like a fleecing and shameful. I would not recommend Watson's to any of my friends and plan to post a comment on the MN Attorney General's Consumer Assistance portal.

*************************,Generally speaking, companys purchase at wholesale prices and sell at retail (marked-up) prices. If they dont mark up the prices, they would be incapable of remaining in business. Now, if you are asking if stores have the right to mark up the prices above the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (****), again, generally speaking they do have that right, since the **** is a suggested price established by the manufacturer. ****, our technicians will NEVER repair an appliance without getting approval first from the owner, which we did receive. With that said, we are grateful for your loyalty and patronage, and would like to keep you as a customer. As a gesture of goodwill, I would like to offer you a $150.00 refund with the hopes of keeping you as a customer.***** ********************************************************************************************************************************** ************ ext. 101 | ************************************************************************
