      I signed an $82,000 contract with Gold Star Pools and Concrete on 21 April 2022 to build an inground pool at my home. Over the last 12 months I've paid the builder $85,236 with a promise to be complete by 01 May 2023. The pool is roughly 35% complete and has developed large cracks in the cement base and the plastic pool walls have warped due to exposure to the elements. On 20 April 23 the builder sent someone to "straighten the pool walls" but instead told me he's stopping all work on the pool since "the retaining wall (built for the pool) caused cracks in the cement and the pool walls to be crooked". This was very alarming so I quickly hired a Board Certified and Licensed Professional Engineer / Forensics Engineer along with a retaining wall builder from an established landscape company to inspect the wall. Both declared the retaining wall structurally sound. They also agreed the cracked concrete and crooked pool walls were due to shoddy workmanship by the pool builder allowing rain water to enter the entire winter. Both inspectors noticed some settling at the far end of the retaining wall but assured me this had nothing to do with cement cracks and crooked pool walls and its repair as voluntary. However, I decided to address this issue. Furthermore, the pool equipment and pool liner (worth thousands) paid for months ago has not been delivered. The licensed electrician I hired is unable to complete the work due to missing equipment. The pool builder texted me the equipment is ordered but I haven't seen it. Each pool supplier I've contacted say they can deliver the items immediately! I've had poor communication with the builder since day one but he's now stopped and blocked all communications with me. Not one phonecall since his worker stopped working on the pool. And now I have a drainage issue bec of poor work. The builder needs to deliver the pool equipment, liner and devote manpower to complete the pool NOW or return the money I paid him!

      We signed the contract in February 2023 with ************** Owner of the ************** and concrete and paid over 20K (40% down payment) for his company to build ** an in ground pool. Building supposed to start in May. Till this day permits are not pulled ( he would submit applications only and not provide them with required documentation so application was voided 5 times). We offer to help with the permit application and asked him for plans and he did not provide any of that. He slowly stopped responding to calls, emails and texts. We asked for deposit back and that didnt happened either. He was served with demand reimbursement letter from our attorney based on breach of contract which he didnt respond either. Next step is taking him to court. Unfortunately he is a fraud and scammer. Apparently, theres 8 of us that he did same thing and I hope no one else get scammed by him. He deleted his businesses fb page and ****** search
