    I have been with them for 2 years now and getting in contact with someone in the office is like running through a maze blindfolded, the voicemail stats all voicemails will be called back within two business days and that couldn't be further from the truth. When I first moved in (December) everything was ok but within the 1st month of being here I smelled gas and I was told to call Spire Gas company and I did, it was a gas leak they fixed part of the problem and tagged the rest for my landlord to fix, I call them back to back and finally received an answer, the whole heating systems had to be fix because it was done wrong I went weeks without heat, I was told to buy a small heater until they could get someone out, that was red flag #1. I was understanding about it even though they still charged me full price on rent for a house with no heat. Next red flag was sending out pest control for what sound like Squirrels in the attic, they sent out a guy ONCE to set traps he never came back to check on those traps. Next problem was my A/C it went out this past July I stay in the South and it was 98-100 temps outside and my A/C would not go lower than 78/79. I was told by Marcie to leave my A/C set at 76 when temps are extreme and that was after them sending me instructions on how to fix the problem myself. They finally send someone out after going back and forth via email and saying I will be charge if nothing was wrong with my A/C well it was definitely something wrong with it according to the HVAC Technician. I rarely call them to fix anything at my rental but when I do its like I am being punished for calling them in the 1st place, if I let the problems I do call about go unnoticed I would be consider a bad tenant and I would be told I should have reached out when it 1st occur (which I do by the way). I just want SBD housing communication to be better, I pay a lot to rent for a property they tell me I should maintain for them not to answer the phone and respond to emails.

The lease agreement also clearly identifies resident and property manager responsibilities as they relate to maintaining the home. Any outstanding, unresolved maintenance in your home should be promptly reported through your online resident portal and our team will work with your local property manager, their technicians and appropriate vendors to complete any necessary repairs.
