Great selection of cars and a willingness to make deals, but when it comes to titling the car, they dont do what you ask or what they say they will. I bought a 2024 Eclipse Cross here in May, and SPECIFICALLY asked that they transfer my existing plate to the new car. They said no problem. After weeks of waiting, I got brand new plates in the mail. An absolute runaround trying to get someone to answer my calls, finally just went in and waited.Excuse from Frank Leta document specialist was that the plates were expiring in 30 days so couldnt be transferred, which was NOT TRUE WHEN I BOUGHT THE *** AND TOLD THEM I WANTED MY PLATES TRANSFERRED. Ive been back and forth since June 14 with the **** Frank Leta, and the servicer, ********* License. The only certain answer I got was that Frank Leta put the request in the system as a new plate, and that it wouldve been cheaper to transfer the plate. I was charged $316 for a new plate when I should have only been charged $25. If I want to undo this mess, I have to come out another $175 to renew and transfer the old plate. This is my second ********** from them, and I recommend going to a different dealer.

If I could give this service zero stars I would. The first date of service was Tuesday 05/28 and I picked my vehicle up on Thursday 05/30. A diagnostic test was ran and the only results were a cylinder 4 coil and spark plugs. Not even 24 hours after picking up my vehicle my service engine light flashed while in idle and my vehicle would shake. I called ***************************, whom was the service manager at the time. I brought my vehicle back for another diagnostic test and it was the fuel injector. I asked him how come the fuel injector didn't read on the first diagnostic test and he explained that the mechanic wasn't looking for it" and the only solution would be to make another appointment. Why should I have to pay for labor twice when the fuel injector should have read on the first diagnostic test? I left a negative review on ****** and ****** contacted me the next day. Not only did ****** admit that it was their fault and that a technician shouldve test drove my vehicle after fixing, he also bribed me to take down my negative review. He waived the labor and part costs for the fuel injector which was fixed last Thursday 06/06. Not even 24 hours later on Friday morning at 5:30 am my service engine light began to flash and my car shaking when in park. The service engine light went away but came back on, and this time my vehicle was driving worse. Along with a rattle sound when the vehicle is in idle. I couldn't contact on Saturday nor Sunday because Frank Leta was closed. I tried contacting ****** on Monday 06/10 and have contacted the operator at Frank **** whom forward a message for ****** to contact me. He has not contacted me and no one has responded back. I absolutely hate that l even went to Frank ************************* in first place. I am out of $565.77 and my vehicle drives very, very poorly. My vehicle is a lot worse condition than the FIRST time. Each time I have taken my vehicle to Frank Leta it comes back worse. Avoid this service center at all costs!!!!

This business lead me to believe that the car I was getting would ride smooth and have no problems although it was used. Maybe 2-3months later the ENGINE gave out.. I promptly had it towed back to the dealership and gave it back. Ive just been informed that it was placed on my credit and that other banks dont want to deal with me because apparently, what frank leta had done was made me a high risk customer. This was a fault of their own so its incredibly rude and unfair

Frank Leta Automotive Outlet Inc. Response

      06/05/2024

We are sorry to hear about ********************** experience. We don't make high risk customers, they are that way when they arrive to us. We strive to put customers in a better transportation situation than when they came to us. Any issues with a vehicle are addressed and resolved to the best of our abilities. This vehicle was purchased in June of 2020. He recently came back to the dealership on May 22nd 2024 to attempt to purchase another vehicle, for which he was approved and declined the purchase explaining that his insurance was too high. We are willing to work with any situation that a customer may have. We do not feel that this complaint should be a reflection of our service based on the customer refusing the deal because his insurance being too high based on his quote-unqoute high risk status. We wish ****************** the best.

So, I recently filed a complaint that involves basically a bate and switch situation at the Frank Leta Mitsubishi in Bridgeton, MO. I was lured into the office- (plucked out of my car from the parking lot) letting me know that they have a deal for some car ( starts with a C ) at 2.9% interest, 100.000 mile warrantee. *All said and done , THAT DEAL ended in May........... So, I have been hearing a radio advertisement for this deal still running on the radio now two weeks past the expiration of the deal- NOT EVEN AVAILABLE ANYMORE. I have a 713 credit rating which is an A rating on their chart and was only able to get a 15.9% interest rate. Then they snuck in a 2,500.00 PLUS 500.00 admin fee after I was told it was only 500.00.

I bought a 2016 **** Fusion for $17,000 with $3,000 down. The first day I had to call them to tell them that the driver side headlight was already out and there were some parts under the hood that weren't mounted and bolted down at all. After that there were still problems with the motor that they wouldn't fix because it wasn't their fault. Recently I had to replace the headlight bulb again so I did it myself and to get the headlight bulb out I had to remove the front bumper and found that everything behind the bumper was broken, cracked, and held with zip ties. The passenger headlight is only mounted with a piece of sheet metal and rivted into the frame. The hood latch is zip tied to be able to work, the passenger A-pillar is cracked, CHUNKS of paint and primer are falling off of the car, none of the body lines actually line up which means the frame of the car is slightly bent somewhere! I DO NOT recommend going to this business or any Frank **** ever!

I went in pre-approved by my bank. They didn't want nothing to do with that and they wanted to go through their credit unions only. They try to push a 2020 ***** ****** on me, that I had no interest in for 690 a month for 72 months. They didn't tell me how much I was approved for, but the total was ****** dollars (Including trade in which was **** and they wanted to buy it for 500). When I told them I was not interested, the finance guy came out and acted like I was an idiot while throwing bad math around. The salesperson pulled up in a 2019 ******************* (Again not a car I was interested in). There was damage to the rear driver side panel (Look like it was side swiped). The back fender was falling off. There was Aluminum corrosion on the engine. The head gasket was leaking, and the timing belt plate gasket was leaking. The salesperson told me it was "dirt". Barely any padding on the brake pads, ****** in the brake rotors. The car was not cleaned, trash in the trunk. They try to sell that to me for ****** (including trade in) I asked what the price would be without the trade in, and they wouldn't do it. No cars they had online were available. I walked. Next day, I went to a real dealership that didn't prey on someone's desperation for a vehicle and they bought my trade in for **** and came out with a car that I wanted that was in my price range. Look I'm 42 years old, an ex-Army Platoon Sergeant that went with soldiers to these shady types of car lots all the time. When I was 20 I would have fell for their sale tactics, and I did. But I got to give it them, I was entertained by their "The Goods: Live hard sell hard." approach. STAY AWAY. Go to a dealership that actually cares. If you hear "This is what we can do for you" "Let me talk to my manager" or a second guy comes in. Walk away. In the long run it is not worth it. If I could leave no stars I would.

I had bought my car from them right before the pandemic. When i went to go get it legal there was something wrong with the title. So i went back to frank leta to have them take care of the title. I waited 4 months for them to tell me i needed to get something registered with the vin. so i took it back up there for them to do some work on it and get the title all worked out. I called to check on my title and found out they didnt do the test or inspection they needed to get the new title. It took over a year and half to get my title. by this time i have already had 3 tickets of not having a licensed vehicle and late fees for not getting it taken care of in a timely manner. When i brought all the tickets and late fees i was told that they will reimburse me for everything. when i asked for the reimbursement i had to jump through hoops to look for paperwork that they have and i still never got reimbursed from them.

Consumer alert -**** *- it sadden me to have to report I have experienced very poor customer service from ******************** *************** (***** *****************************************, *********, ** *****) regarding two separate service issues both of which Ive yet to receive proper service. The only attention I did receive was a few phones calls filled with promises but no resolution to this day, buyer beware.

This business falsely misrepresents that the customer only needs "ONE DIME DOWN" if you make $350 per week (which I do), but I was told by their Salesperson just a few minutes via text that I needed $2,000 per month instead of $1400 to buy a car. This isn't the first time that a ********* Area auto dealer mislead me about buying a vehicle, it's happened at least three times now and it makes me wonder if my minority status, retired Veteran status, or something is the basis for their denial. It's my opinion that none of the ********* Auto Dealerships can be trusted now or ever, especially Frank Leta Automotive Outlet ***********************
