    contracted the roofing company 2 years ago to do work on my house for an insurance claim. I should estate that I have known the owner of this company for more than 40 years and used to be good friends with him, however this job has changed that. During the beginning of this project he did everything as requested including holding off on a portion of the project for a planned remodel. He was paid in full for the job He did return to finish the roof after the remodel was completed but he owed me gutters to finish the work. I have called dozens if not hundreds of times to discuss the work he owed me and he never called back. I mentioned to him that I would seek legal counsel if he did not call me back which prompted him to text me back but when I requested a call he never returned it. I let him know that he owed me work but he wanted to send a crew when I was trying to request the $1800 he had been paid since I had already paid to have the work done by another contractor. I would caution anyone who is considering doing business with this company since they dont mind ruining 40+ year old friendships over $1800 I cant imagine what they would do to a total stranger

    We signed a contract dated 4/12/23 with The Roofing Company (TRC) to replace the roof at ************************************************, ******** including the tear off of the original roof, the installation of new plywood decking, ISO board, and a new TPO membrane roof. After several rounds of rework and our requests for a proper invoice, TRC stated that their work had been completed and they were paid in full on August 22, 2023 in the amount of $27,748.74. The roof was inspected on September 6, 2023 by SRS Roofing who identified dozens of areas where the roofing installation was improperly done. We hired SRS roofing, in consultation with TRC, to have SRS train and observe TRC's employees while repairs were made. During the repairs it became apparent that the original roof was not completely removed, new decking and ISO board were not installed over the entire roof as specified, and some of this - but not all - were corrected.On November 13, 2023, I noticed a leak coming through the roof into the second floor of the building. Photos were taken and TRC was notified in writing. On November 16, 2023, SRS conducted a walkaround of the roof with me and a representative of TRC to identify the leak location and any places where work remained. Dozens of problems remain, including some from the original inspection. This inspection was video recorded and a copy provided to TRC. Our account manager, *******************************, has made several attempts to seek resolution for these several problems from TRC's owner *********************************** to no avail. My multiple attempts to contact *********************************** have received no response of any kind.TRC's employees have left debris on our roof and behind the building. No work has been done on this roof since November 7, 2023. Today is November 27, 2023 and we cannot reach *********************************** nor have we heard any response from him. ******************************* has been in contact with us and has not heard from *********** about these issues either.
