My elderly grandmother called for a furnace repair when the A/C didn't work. Paschal came and said that it was a bad A-Coil that needed to be replaced (freezing up, unknown if they tried to clean it first). She looked up the warranty and it was still under warranty. They said they'd replace it but only the part was covered by the warranty. The said it would be $2900 labor and refridgerant charges to do the work, even though the part was under warranty. She asked for an itemized receipt, but they said that it is a fixed charge for that service. I checked with multiple HVAC firms and they agreed that the labor and refridgerant should have been on the order of approximatly $900-$1000 total, and that they believed that Paschal charged her for the part even though it was under warranty. They gouged an elderly woman who didn't know better. They won't talk to me, and when she asked for a more detailed breakdown of charges they would not provide them. When they were told that the charges were 3 times what others would have charged they had no explanation. They are taking advantage of senior citizens and price gouging.
