    Who would have thought they wouldnt cover a melted piston. They keep calling it piston detention which isnt covered and the dealership says h*** no its a faulty part. 2 months without vehicle, 3 inspections later, and over 2000,00 spent on a vehicle that is not yet fixed. 0 stars

    Bought the extended service warranty through the dealership I purchased my 2016 Chevy Cruze. Just recently took the car in for a routine maintenance due to the heat not working only to notice the temperature gauge spiking on the way to the dealership. They inspected the engine and found there was a water cooling jacket that was faulty inside the engine. The engine overheated due to this part but Protective Asset Protection refuses to cover the cost of the damage of the engine. They have done everything in their power not to cover the total damage of the engine even though its clear where the problem originated. Even went as far as purposely omitting the photo evidence in their reporting from the inspector they sent out. Convenient. I plan to file a grievance to the Federal Trade Commission as well as the Attorney Generals office. I will never purchase another policy from this company again. Would give 0 stars if applicable. Would not recommend this service to ANYONE. If you buy from a dealership and see this company - ask for another provider.

    Terrible company to work with as an auto repair center called to start claim they sent inspector to check out vehicle inspector turned in warranty claim company said inspector said nothing was wrong contacted the inspection company that is not what they told me had them send out inspector again. This time they came back to authorize. Repairs were supposed to be a complete coverage warranty, they covered $2000 of a $2600 claim and then when we sent them in a copy of the repair bill to get our $2000 of the repair covered from them, they shorted ** another hundred dollars claiming that there were other items that needed to be re-calculated never do business with this company. They are thieves.

    The worst GAP insurance Ive ever dealt with! GAP didnt want to pay off my total loss and I was out a lot of money. They were always rude to me on the phone and my regular insurnace said thats something gap should pay for but they decided they didnt want to pay off my full loan even though thats what Ive been paying extra money for them to do! Never ever get these people, theyre horrible

    Complete waste of money. They have been trying everything to not pay on a blown motor that I've had for 7000 miles. Now they are saying they can only pay what the vehicle is worth and is leaving us with a $8000 bill. Total **** and any dealership that uses them should be avoided also.

    I am horrified at these reviews and disgusted at the repetitive response from PAP. Today I verbally committed to the purchase of a car and the salesman added 2800.00 for insurance. He didn't ask me or give me options. I kept thinking about this 2800.00 extra expense that was being automatically slipped in the invoice. I checked out a competitor of ******* **** ***** *** **. Their extended warranty is only about $1000.00. RED FLAG! I googled "Protective Auto Insurance". I am glad I did. because that search lead me right to here Thank you so much everyone for the heads up. Roberts Auto Sales in Modesto, CA just lost a sale. How dare they try and sell me *****. How dare PAP for being *****.Both companies can eat *****!

    Their multiple 1 star reviews are telling. They will find any reason to get out of paying even a dime for your claim. **************** were over the claim. They addressed I was not following maintenance records due to missing a cabin air filter which has nothing to do with an engine at all. Lol. After submitting to upper management after I addressed this in no way has not affect on the engine, they then told me I would need to pay for an engine tear down repair. After getting 2 opinions at 2 different dealerships, & telling this company what the problem was and they still wanted to have ME pay for a tear down. So pay for a tear down just to tell me no? Makes senseWaste of money, they will fight you with every chance they have.

    Purchased a gap insurance policy from this company . My car was totaled and they only paid $700 of the $1600 balance I paid $599 for the policy. They are defrauding Consumers.

    Vehicle covered, at the cost of thousands of dollars. When a problem arose, they looked for every reason to put a $4,000 dollar charge back on the customer and, when I refused, they refused to deal with the claim any longer. Nothing but a scam
