1 Star is more than this law office deserves. My attorney lied to me and cost me child support as a single mother! Plus an extra -$4000 in charges that were wrongly billed after they F**** up my case. I am left with a huge bill and stacking charges as no one seems to want to talk to me about my matter besides the separate billing company they use to harass me on charges that I have clear evidence they screwed up! As a business if you s**** up- take ownership of your mistake and correct it! If my kitchen was installed incorrectly I would not be billed till the right materials/ product was delivered. I wouldn't invoice for the wrong sh*t. I looked them up on the BBB and they don't even have a local office listed! I can see why. I have never had such unprofessional care! I can also see the warning- **************** with focus on men". I asked my attorney at my first consultation if I was in the right place and if they were going to represent me- I guess they were lying right off the rip- So women beware! Stay away from this place!!!! They will chew you up and spit you out and not even blink an eye!Cordell Law, LLP

1 starAwful Lawfirm. They only care about money, not about you. They want the easy cases. They will charge you $400 for their paralegal to make copies. Good luck getting to look at your divorce decree. They will ram your decree through the court systems so fast your head will spin for years. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS LAW FIRM! They will take your money and do nothing for you. Then your own lawyer will take you to court and force a judgement on you for their $16,000 in photo copies they made their paralegal to perform.Review fromTheresa M

1 starThis firm is nothing but big talk, but they do not do the walk with you. They tell you all the things you want to hear, then take your money and run! I had let them know that i needed to stop services because they were charging me for who knows what, I lost my children, then my drivers license, and could spend time in jail all while I had services with them. They continued to bill me months later saying I failed to sign a certain document, also said I did not WORD my cancelation requests right. They claim to record all their calls so they should have records of me telling them I was done and to stop, no more, but they continued to bill me. This feels like a crime, No please stop? Now they are threatening me with collections also throwing in there that my balance accumulates INTEREST. They did NOTHING BUT MAKE MY NASTY DIVORCE A LIVING NIGHTMARE! When calling to set up payments, they tried sending me to ********, I live in **********. When I let them know this, and again asked for an address to make a payment she said that because that information was not in my file she could not disclose the address information. THEY PLAY GAMES! I encourage everyone who is dealing with their negative effects to write as many reviews as possible to as many sites as possible. The BETTER BUSINESS BERUE , as well as ****** CONSUMER are some I used. I also wrote letters to their many different office locations, and I'm in the process of writing to my state officials. Get your story out, these people need to be held accountable for all their negative actions, and people need to be reimburse for everything they paid them for. They give you the run around, and push the blame on anyone else.I cant believe that a firm whos commercials sound so hopeful only turn to a waist, not to mention PAIN AND SUFFERING. I did a better job not knowing the law all on my own!Review fromRyan S

1 star*********************** out of the ***********. *********, **** misrepresented me back in July of 2022. **** lied to me about the prosal that was never discussed with my exs attorney *********************. ***** told my current attorney nothing was ever discussed with him, that **** had the agreement typed up before the court date and that he lied to me just to get me to sign the paperwork, only to find out that **** just didnt want to drive down from ********* the following day and let it go to trial. I refuse to pay him anymore more money. I feel he owes me a refund. I have also filed a complaint to the Supreme court and feel his license should be revoked!Review fromKimberly P

1 starSince covid 19 shutdown is when my son started his case .And he has spent to this day about ****** to ****** AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!!!!!!No visitation, no real communication or therapy with the mother of the child or the child. Only seen her in court 1 time and she still broke the rules. But if you Owe this lawfirm any money they want do anything until it is paid in full. And then any requests will be another 1500 to 3000 dollars. Each, email 250 dollars, texts 250,phone calls 250.And don't let these lawyers speak for you when you are not in court. THEY DONT they let the mother of the children get away with excuses. And these lawyers just say OK to it.My grandchild doesn't know we actually exist accept a few 2 minutes phone calls because since this lawfirm didn't get nothing done or enforce something from the contract rules from court the mother of the child is allowed to say or do whatever to their impressionable minds. This lawfirm doesn't work for favor of the father coparent.Maybe if a blue collar man is filthy rich.So DO NOT come to cordell cordell. They get NOTHING done but bleed your paycheck and bank account.Oh did I mention they make NO payment arrangements. When they requests the money you owe it will be all 1 lump sum!!! They don't actually explain that to you in the beginning until you get paid and they take ALL your money out of your account. So you are left with nothing till next paycheck. AND STILL THEY DIDN'T GET NOTHING DONE.Why is a lawfirm allowed to do this to good dads who just want to be there in their children lives???These fathers deserve better to be in their children lives. Just like others my son wouldn't have gotten a lawyer if he didn't want anything to do with his child.Cordell cordell bleeds you dry and gets nothing done. They only here for money not the fathers. And probly the same for a mother but their advertising is more for the fathers So don't believe it.Review fromTracy E

1 starWas charged almost $7000 and didn't even get through the discovery and interrogatories stage of the legal process, and had their attorney withdraw from my case because the firm wanted another $4500 to keep the $2500 in the trust fund and more fees. I can't see where they earned the $6500 they received, let alone ask for another $4500, withdraw from my case, and leave me stuck in a messReview fromAngela L

1 starI cannot understand how I was given a lawyer - ******************************** that could be such a rip-off. I was given a new lawyer who had no experience. She made promises that she could get you access to visitation rights with your grandchildren and did absolutely nothing. 1. They gave me a contract and charged me in excess of $7,000. I had only one child and she had three children. She passed away and I wanted to continue my relationship with my grandchildren. 2.I felt I could not put a price on continuing a relationship with my grands. So I borrowed the money and hired them. We had two court appointments and the rest were cancelled. The court dates dragged on until absolutely nothing happened.3. They continued to request more and more money and I was unable to pay. They did not follow through on any of the promises made, but wanted me to keep paying money.4.,My question to you is What are they continuing to charge me for. I received nothing but LIES from them. I have paid more than $7,000. And they continue to charge me. 5. Would you please look into this case and tell me if you can honestly say I owe them. Or do you feel they owe me a refund.6. I gained absolutely nothing from them but lies, heartaches, and grief. They could have been honest and said there is no such thing as grand parent ***** and I would have walked away.Review fromBrian G

1 starQuota billing hours. Attempted to withdrawal excessive amount (above agreement) of money from my account without notice. When I questioned, I was told that was for trial preparation and representation. I disagreed with the fee and my attorney, **************** said she needed payment prior to trial. I refused. One week later she told me to be a trial that she would represent me since we came this far. I again told her I would not and could not pay $5,000 for trial. Today, I'm being harassed by Cordell and Cordell to pay $5800. All my documents and emails show that I never agreed to a trial fee of $5,000.I never met my attorney until the day of trial. She asked 3 questions, submitted wrong doing as "marital financial misconduct" and Judge ******* laughed and said, I've never hear of such and I don't recognize that in my court.Very bad business practices. Billable hours, quota driven based on testimonies of prior attorneys on Indeed reviews. And, I experienced it myself $17k paid for emails and 3 required forms.Review fromMichael W

1 starI have absolutely nothing good to say about this firm , and as so many others have concluded, this firms ads are little more than a sirens song , not unlike the tales of old mythology, and you'll likely find out , if you hire this firm , regret and an empty bank account is all you'll be left with in the end. Mine was a slow drain over many (8) months with little to no actual accomplishments to attribute to what I was being billed for , the final straw , before I fired them , was the outrageous bill i received from a few days they listed of "work" right around , coincidentally, Christmas, and that was enough! , having my retirement savings from my inherited funds from when my father passed a decade previous, basically lit on fire to satisfy this monstrous entity. At the end of the day , they are seemingly only interested in billable hours, not actually helping anyone. Sorry I can't give a lower rating to express just how disappointed I am in this firm.
