They sold me a used vehicle- 2014 ***** Silverado last week, the battery bulges and I told them the problems I am having and they say they can**;t figure it out. They said we could take it to a ***** dealer and it will be covered. Now they are saying I have to pay for it out of pocket. They are not paying for the repair. On 1121/24 I purchased a 2020, landrover discovery sport from Traverse GMT auto sales located at ***********************************, ************* for $27,995.When I drove it off the lot, I wasn't aware that the break light was out took from 11/25 to 12/6 to get repaired.On Wednesday 12/18/24 car broke down while driving on highway. Fortunately I was already on my way to get a free diagnostic from Jaguar Landrover because the car seemed to be driving weird. It perked everytime I would push on the gas. I called ***************************** on the same day 1218/24 and told them what happened and they said I needed to tow the car back to them. When I told Landrover that they said to have Premier call them. ********************* approved the diagnostic for my car and it was discovered that the TURBOCHARGER UNDERBOOST needed to be replaced which would cost $4462 51 and was told they estimate was sent to Traverse Premier and they were waiting on approval to fix my car. From 12/23/24 until 12/30/24 nothing was said about my car. Today I called ******* *************** ****** ****** was going to have the vehicle towed back to Premier and they landrover would bring the car back.I called landrover today was told that they do not tow cars back and that **** from Premier had told them not to touch anything and that they would pick up the ********* 12/30 I had my car towed back to Traverse Premier, I gave my car to ***** and asked if they are going to honor the warranty and fix my car. Her response was she needed to talk to her boss to see what their going to do. I don't think they expected me to have the car towed ******* conclusion I believed I was sold a car that already had transmission problems. I purchased a 2020 landrover discovery sport from GMT auto sales ********************************* on 11/21/24 in the amount of $27,995. On 12/18/24 the TURBOCHARGER UNDERBOOST, which resulted in a loss of power and the car not accelerating when pushing on the gas. Landrover was able to get approval from ********************* to do the diagnostic, and thats when it was discovered that the TURBOCHARGER UNDERBOOST needed to be replaced in the amount of $4462.51. On 12/23/24, I was told by Landrover that the estimate was sent to GMT for approval. I called Traverse Premier Auto on 12/23/24, 12/27/24,and 12/30/24, to find out if they would approve the work and was given multiple excuses. Then I found out from Landrover that Traverse premier told Landrover not to touch the car and that he would have someone pick it up. On 12/3/24 I had my car towed back to Traverse Premier at my expense and I still haven't gotten any answers. I haven't driven my car since 12/18/24. I would like for the dealership to honor the warranty and fix the car but at this point I don't trust they will fix it right. Ultimately I feel like I've been taken advantage of and was sold a car that already had transmission problems. As a resolution I want my money back.Business Response

Hi I have attached a copy of the warranty I was given when I purchased the car.
However my issue has not been resolved. Traverse Premier has had my car since 12/30/24. On 1/3/25 I received a call from *****. She said they will fix my car at no expense to me but they have to find the part and to be patient. It's now 1/15/25 and I still don't have an eta of when my car will be ready. I haven't driven my car since 12/18/24. I've been very patient but I need my car. I'm paying for a car I don't have. I'm paying for a rental car which is an extra expense. I will have to pay a penalty because the temp tags expired on 12/20/24. I understand it's not like an oil change but how long will I not have my car? How long do I wait for a part...1 month, 2 months, 3months etc....
It's not fair that I'm just sitting here waiting without any feedback on when my car will be fixed.

The warranty that was sent is the buyers guide which is a 30 day 1000 mile warranty to cover the engine, transmission and drive train. The part that was broken on the vehicle was the turbo. Unfortunately that is an added part not covered under this. Out of good faith we are covering the part. I just got off the phone with the service shop manager and he has the part in house and are currently working on the vehicle. they are hoping to get it done within the next couple days. Once the vehicle is done they will need to test drive to make sure everything is in working order. On 1/3/25 I was notified that Traverse Premier would replace the TURBOCHARGER UNDERBOOST. Ive patiently waited and today I was informed by Traverse Premier that the TURBOCHARGER UNDERBOOST was replaced but it didn't resolve the issue. I was told that the car continues to have error codes, it misfired and still jerks. Traverse premier informed me that the car has to go back to landrover for another diagnostic and that they have gone as far as they can go. So there is NO eta of when my car will be fixed.
I have been very patient! I haven't been able to drive my car since 12/18/24, it broke down 21 days after purchasing on 11/21/24. I feel as though this car was not properly inspected prior to selling to me.
At this point, you have sold me a car that clearly needs extensive work. And you said you don't know why I want my money back? I cannot continue to be without a car! This is the upmost inconvenience and just unacceptable!
I would like to discuss possibly exchanging this car for another one close to what I paid for this vehicle and/or covering the cost for a rental or providing me a loaner car while my car is being repaired especially since noone can tell me when it will be fixed. Right now the car is at Traverse Premier, it hasn't even been taken to landrover.
This whole ordeal is extremely stressful!

They changed the mileage on the Warranty certificate to ****** so it would qualify. I was asked if I would purchase the vehicle if they gave me a 24 month/100000 mile drive train warranty. So when I said yes they changed the mileage from over ******* to ****** so I would purchase the vehicle. I would of never purchase this lemon if not for that. Mr. ********* purchased a 2017 ************ from us on July 31, 2024. One stipulation he had in purchasing the transit van was that we needed to provide him with a certified warranty. Since ********************* van had ******* miles on the odometer, we had to print the paperwork in the system with under ******* miles or it wouldnt go through. This was simply an internal maneuver to accommodate Mr. ********** needs. I have attached proof that the warranty is valid with Assurant with the correct mileage and the correct date. I have a warranty certificate that you gave me the day of purchase that is printed as mileage ***** and a title that is printed ******. You changed the mileage did you not? I do not have a warranty certificate that states anything but the above! You cannot change mileage on a contract documents per the **** You can try to put this on me all you want by saying you accommodated me. I did not put mileage on either ************ did ! I have the proof you falsified the warranty and you can explain it to **** I don't have a copy of the one you provided the BBB because it didn't exist until now! You falsified a warranty to make a sale and you did wrong which means the contract for sale doesn't exist. *** has the original warranty you provided which is falsified. Good luck with that one! On July 26, 2022, I purchased a Chevrolet Colorado Z71 (VIN#*****************) with ***** miles on the engine from ******* GMT Auto Sales, ********************************************. When I purchased the truck, the truck was still under a GM Warranty and had been inspected by ******* GMT Auto Sales. I also purchased an extended Warranty through The Mechanic for 72 months or through mileage 10*****.After purchasing the vehicle, I had routine maintenance (oil change, tires rotated, inspection) performed at regular intervals at ********************, ******************************************** since the purchase of the vehicle. On August 8, 2024, I went to the *************************************** to get an oil change, tires rotated and the routine inspection. During this service appointment, I was told my rear brake pads were getting low and I needed to have them replaced before they started rubbing on the rotors. It was during this service appointment that the service team discovered that the rotors that were on the rear of my truck were the wrong size. The brake pads hung over the edge of the rotors about of an inch and that part of the rotor has no wear on it. This was the first time since purchasing the truck that I had the brake pads or rotors serviced, so I bought the truck from GMT Auto Sales with the wrong size rotors installed on the rear tires of my truck. No one during any of the prior to the sales had noticed that the rotors were the wrong size and the brake pads were not wearing correctly. I had to pay $536.61 to have the correct rotors installed on my car since the ones that were installed when I bought the car were not the correct ********* this point, I am asking ******* GMT Auto Sales to reimburse me for the $536.61 to have the correct rotors put on my car since GMT Auto Sales sold me the car with the wrong rotors installed.I sent a letter to ******* GMT Auto Sales twice and received no response, so I decided to get the BBB involved.Business Response

My name is *** and I am a Manager here at GMT Auto Sales. Mr. ******** came and purchased a 2022 ***** Colorado from ** on July 26, 2022 with ***** miles. This is the first we have heard from Mr. ********* but I have pulled the carfax report on Mr. ******** truck and as you can see Mr. ******** purchased 2 years and 5 months ago. I've pulled the carfax and Mr. ******** has put ******* miles on the vehicle. I can't imagine he has gone this long on the same brakes and rotors especially if they were the wrong size. His vehicle has 15 service records and 8 of which include tire rotations. I would suggest Mr. ******** goes to where he has the vehicle serviced and ask why they are the wrong size. Im not sure you understand the complaint ********, as it is NOT a warranty issue. The complaint is that they sold me a truck with the wrong size rotors installed and I only found out that the rotors were the wrong size when I went to have my brake pads replaced when they needed to be replaced by the maintenance schedule. There would have been no way for me to know they sold me a car with the wrong size rotors. They are at fault and need to accept responsibility. Even if the car were under warranty, rotors do not fall under the warranty. This is not a warranty issue. I would like to speak with someone about continuing this complaint. Thanks!Customer Answer

I bought a car from this dealership august 9th and the engine of the car blew up on august 29th, they told me that it would be a month and then the car would be fixed, i called a week later to check up on the car then they told me it was going to be 2 months, and i told them i had vacations planned for the first week of november so i need the car by then, they told me it wouldnt be an issue, here ive waited 2 months and i called them, and they tell me its going to be another month, and they are REFUSING to give me a loaner car at all since the car broke, and are basically telling me i have to cancel everything i had planned including what ive paid for. I purchased a vehicle 05/02/24 the person that sold me the car sent me a message that my title could be picked up and when I got there days later I was told that the title was lost . I have received tickets for expired tags and the sales manager has told me he would write me a check for all tickets received , but only word of mouth no emails . I was told today that a request for a new title was made in July it is now October and I still have no title . How can I go about this ? Purchesed a work van from Travers GMT West in April & 4 month later we still don't have a title. ************************* is asking for ********************* Have called multiple times & went to dealership asking for title and them saying we have filed it with the State but no title. We call the ***** of Revenue to explain why we haven't registed the vehicle and was informed that no title had been filed for this work van. Went back to dealership Monday & spoke the Sale manager ****** ***. He informed us that they had filed for the title but it had been rejected both times. Mr. *** assured me he would reach out to me the next day but never did. I called the title company for Travers and was informed a title was never filed on our behalf but was filed for Travers GMT because the van was purchased at auction in ********** and they never had a clean title for the van, that there was a lien and sale on the title. We did not received a lien waiver or a guarantee of title. I called Sales manager Mr. *** back after I didn't receiver the expected call and asked if they could just take the van back & void the contract. I still haven't received a response! On February 23, 2022, I purchased a vehicle from Travers, which included an extended warranty costing $2,800. However, upon contacting The Mechanic on May 10, 2024, I discovered that my warranty was never activated - a serious and potentially illegal oversight. Despite engaging with multiple employees at Travers, including the salesperson ****, who sold me the car, and addressing the issue with the finance department, I have encountered disrespect, hang-ups, and evasive responses.Travers failed to submit the necessary contract, leaving me without coverage when my AC Compressor malfunctioned. Consequently, I sought repairs elsewhere, incurring expenses that should have been covered by the warranty. Despite being outlined in my contract, there is no active policy with The Mechanic. When I called Travers ****************** I spoke to ***, he told me he didn't see my warranty in the system either then hung up on me. I am therefore requesting reimbursement of the $2,800 spent on the extended warranty.Business Response

On March 14th,2024 I ******************************* Went to GMT Travers Wentzville Auto|RV looking for a vehicle. I found a 2021 *******, On my way home I drove through 2 huge hail storms. I scheduled my car to get looked at and they said theres prior hail damage that was never mentioned to me from the dealership and it doesnt mention it in my paperwork. They also refused to repair it because the previous PDR work was so bad. They drilled multiple holes into the hood and doors. They even drilled holes into my rails which will affect the air bags deployment, the body shop I took it to deemed it unsafe. I took it to 3 other auto body shops that said the exact same thing. I even have letters from 2 of the shops. I took those letters and went back to the dealership and they said that the auto body shops were lying and trying to scare me and then told me theres nothing they can do and even told me to drive it until I hit something.That being said I called the bank that loaned me the money and they said that there isnt anything they can do since its hail damage and to take it up with insurance well insurance told me to call the bank because since it was prior to me owning the car they cant do anything. I also still have yet to receive my title and its April, 10th, 2024 my temp tags go out in 2 days and when I called the dealership they said it should be there any day. My insurance company even said its so bad that if I were to get in for example a deer accident they wouldnt cover it.Business Response

Bought a car in November 2023, and it was in the shop the first 30 days of purchased. Got the car back then in Dec. the car was back in the shop. Now since January, my car has been in the shop for over a month now. *** been told by Midwest Acceptance (my loaner) that I could have took it to any shop with my warranty but I was instructed by ******* to use their shop down the street, which I find out is a lie and I could of went somewhere where maybe the shop isnt so short staffed and rude I had a guy at ******* named ***** say he was going to put a restraining order on me if I kept calling when I was just wanting to know why he lied to me and said he talked to the ppl at the shop and said they were waiting to get another part for my vehicle, when *** been told for weeks my part been there. I call the shop and ask and they say we are not waiting on a part. So why lie about it? Thats someones livelihood youre messing with and just to tell me anything to get me off the phone is so unprofessional. When I called back ***** told me clearly I didnt have a life, and he proceeded to hang up on me. Theres no way I bought a car in November and its been in the shop about HALF the time Ive had it. The best part of it all they dont do loaner cars and I didnt fit renting a vehicle through a separate company in my budget because after buying a new car I didnt think I would need to.Business Response
