Mr. ********** charges for looking at proposed work; both for the trip and just to look. He did not mention that charge December 30, 2022 when he came to our house and said he would begin the job in a couple of weeks. On February 13, 2023, I called and asked if he could come right away because the electricity needed to be disconnected so no one would get electrocuted while tearing metal siding off the house. When I talked to Mr. ********** he apologized for not getting back with us on completing the work he had promised. My husband was able to talk to him at one point in March and he said it would only be a week and he would be back. When we called after that time, no one would answer or return our calls. After waiting 4 months we contacted another electrician who responded and instructed us to do the one call, which we did. After letting him know we were ready the job was completed in one day on May 2, 2023 upon which we paid him for that day. We received two statements from Grannenmann's Services in the same envelope yesterday, May 18, 2023. One dated 1/10/2023 and the other dated 2/22/2023. Total charge for the January statement was $75.00. The total charge for the February statement was $175. Explanation $75.00 each for labor and trip; plus $100.00 rent for his truck which he had driven three miles to our house from a job he was using it on. I called multiple times to speak to Mr. ********** and left a message for him to return my call. He did not return my call. The statements each have the threat of being turned over to collection if not paid within 90 days.
