Last year, I contacted ************** (GreenCo ********** to get a refund of money I prepaid for lawn service which was never started (April 14 & May 25 email). One of the attachments (May 26 email) indicates they would contact me but never did. I did run this through the ******** ************************* but they were not able to recover money. The business did send a reply to them (Sep 11 email) stating they would contact me but never did. They are probably out of business, but I at least wanted you to get the complaint. I was double charged for services and was promised either a refund or a credit for these services. Months later I was told it would only be a refund and not a credit for services. To date I have not received that refund.Initial Complaint

In July 2022 I was looking for a company to do lawn and driveway treatments. Found this company on Thumbtack and got a call quickly. I signed up on August 1 and prepaid $350 for 7 treatments. The owner couldn't provide a schedule but said the team will leave markings to signal what was treated. About two weeks later, the first treatment happened, but no flags or markings were left. We have video cameras, so it was easy to confirm.Owner calls back and recommends overseeding ($185) and lime treatment ($99). I signed up for both and prepaid. The second treatment doesn't happen and I am calling multiple times to figure out what the schedule is. Eventually, the overseeding happens. No markings left, but I can confirm the owners claim of what day it was on the cameras. No other treatments happen before the end of the year. The owner calls one more time to offer putting up Christmas lighting. I declined that, but confirmed that the 6 treatments and lime treatment would happen next year. Spring rolls around, no calls, no responses to phone calls, or messages left. Started looking into the company and find that this is a common theme for the owner to collect payments and not deliver in full or not deliver at all.Initial Complaint

On October 27, I spoke with Greenco about installing Christmas lights on my mother's home. They said there was no problem hanging our own lights and would send someone out. Told me they would be in touch with a date. They demanded I pay them up front so I sent $325.00 via Venmo. They arrived on 11-15-2022 (after I reached out to them for an update on 11-14-2022). My mother explained to the man from Greenco, that the lights cannot be strung all in one line, that half get plugged in one side and the other half on the other. He assured her he understood. Unfortunately he did not... he hung all the lights in a continuous strand and then left. They have NEVER WORKED!!!! They are poorly hung and falling off and probably ruined. When my mother informed me of this, I immediately called and was told someone would be out by the end of the week. I have called/texted and spoken to them on Monday 11/21/2022, 11/22 and 11/23 and each day was assured they were coming to fix the problem. Still nothing. Owner ***************** is currently operating under the business name ************** (and other business names as well) but the transactions are appearing in our bank account under GREENCO. We pre-paid $250 by check for a year of lawn treatments back on 5/6/2021. Next we pre-paid $225 for aeration & seeding on 8/16/2021, but they didnt do the work and said the weather caused them to push the work back until Spring 2022, but then they pushed it back again to the Fall of 2022. They still havent done the work. There was a random $50 charge on 9/7/2021 for who knows what. They charged $250 on 2/21/2022 for another year of lawn treatments that haven't happened. They also charged us $89 on on 4/1/2022 for who knows what, then charged $125 on 5/9/2022 for a grub treatment that they didn't do and we didnt want. I finally cancelled that card to prevent them from charging more, and I told them I want a refund by check. Its November 2022 now and they keep giving excuses as to why they havent sent the check and they still havent done the work. There is no proof that they have ever done any of the work they said they would do, so I want a full refund of $989. Screenshots of the bank transactions are attached.Business Response

I was contacted by the owner and we agreed on a refund amount of $516 after he provided a list of dates and description of services that were provided. He sent the payment using Venmo tonight. The owner did sound genuinely apologetic about all the issues. I consider the issue to be resolved to my satisfaction.

I enrolled with this company for an annual "unlimited" weed prevention service that was supposed to include a regular schedule of maintenance applications/treatments with the option to also call them out "anytime" for additional spot treatments. The merchant showed up to my house tops 3 times over the course of the past year - once around the time I enrolled, once at the beginning of the spring, and once sometime in the middle of summer after I filed angry calls asking to speak to the owner.I called every 2 weeks during the summer and got every variety of excuse - from scheduling errors to communication errors. Now, my yard and several plants are overrun with weeds, and I am out the $325 I paid last September.
