I recently have attempted the missouri lottery scratch off chance game. We had lost everything and being desperate we took our last 100 dollars and bought 10 $2.00 tickets called Double Match. There was one $2.00 winner. So assuming the odds had to favor a winner coming up soon we bought ten more and had another ticket win for $4.00. Long story short is just playing the law of averages we spent all of the hundred dollars and never won more than $15.00. And at the end of the $100 we started with we had something like $46.00 and when that was gone we had $6.00. DO NOT BELIEVE THE **** ON THE BACK OF THE TICKET!!! THEY ARE LIEING TO YOU. Our odds were 1 in 8 and the average win amount was between 3 and 4 dollars. You can't win unless you are lucky enough to get a big money ticket which doesn't exist I don't think? Most of the wins come in the form of 2 $1.00 matches and 3 $2.00 matches both of which are $2.00 wins if you're unfamiliar with the game. What is worse is we believe they are laughing at us. If your winning numbers are say 2 and 13 2 of the numbers in the playing field will be 12 and 3. That happens far too often to not be deliberate. Or when you scratch the prize amounts to check for matches the first 2 will be $500 and $500 then the next one will be $5.00. Or $1,000 and $1,000 then $100. Or $20,000, $20,000 then $20.00. It's a teaser so you don't feel so bad and feel like you got something out of your $2.00 because they are not going to give you any money. We have a nearly unbroken run of close to $160 worth of tickets. That's when we were able to do the math and prove they are liars and cheating you into wasting your money on it believing some sort of regulation holds them accountable. It does not.
