Deceptive Practices: the manner in which my vehicle was towed without notice suggests a deliberate attempt to profit from unsuspecting vehicle owners. This practice along with the deceptive signage are both unethical and potentially illegal under consumer protection laws.Initial Complaint

Private Party Impound illegally towed my vehicle. My vehicle is registered as requested by the apartment complex. I sent the company the confirmation showing the vehicle as registered. The guy told me I had to wait an hour for them to return my vehicle. The guy from Private Party Impound admitted to wrongfully towing my vehicle. When the tow company brought the vehicle back, he did not take the car off the tow line properly and let the car roll off. The car sustained damages. This company has been investigated by **** for illegally towing vehicles from private property. 4-12-23 private party tow entered a coded gated private property parking lot to remove my vehicle illegally. The co-owner of the car used his work vehicle to remove it from my job and took it to his impound that he works for. They never reported they had my car however I have video of him taking it and texts from the owner of the business telling me there's nothing I can do since he is also the owner. I received a certified letter stating they towed my car from "Cold storage lofts' for improperly parking with an expired tag. They are trying g to make me pay for impound fees of $1220.00 The employee himself took it from private parking and parked it on their lot. This can't be legal. This is a fraudulent document. Vehicle was towed from the lot of the apartment on 03/15/2023 without a 24 hour notice at 1130. I was advised by the tracker of the vehicle and where it was heading and so since it was towed without notice, we got the vehicle back. Upon inspection for any damages to the vehicle I noted and pictured a few. The vehicle was dragged from the parking spot over 10 feet so they could put it on the dolly's as the vehicle is rear wheel drive, which pictures and video will be posted. Once the vehicle was returned I noted that before my pre-drive, there is a bolt in my right rear tire but no other cosmetic or body damages as all that was already there. Upon test driving the car to make sure the Differential or Transmission wasn't messed up from that short pull for 6 block down ******* **** **** ** * *** ******* ***** ** ***** **** **** **** ** * *** ** back to the apartment, there is a noise of a Bearing in 1st and 2nd gear whining up and down that wasnt there before and how do I know? I have the old transmission in my living room and this new one was put in only a month ago with no damages done to it, if needed, the shop I bought it from can/will vouch for it. Upon calling the company to report damage the office advisor was nothing but douchey and rude and stated "Of course you'd be calling about this, all you owners with that car call about damages after towing." This was during when I only found the nail in the tire and not the mechanical problems. Conversation went on for about 10 more minutes with nothing but just ******* and rude *** comments from the advisor telling me "No you aren't getting my insurance at all for a ******* nail. Call the police, make a property damage report." That's essentially where the video call ended. Nothing but ******* tone and ****** from this company and hassle right now over trying to solve the problems all because of the vehicle I own and I guess apparently his stigma of those vehicles "Always calling." This occurred on Thursday, March 9th. My vehicle was towed for absolutely no reason what so ever. I was working on my 2015 BMW 328i x drive. I left to go get a scanner and I returned 30 minutes later and my car was gone. I asked a witness "how did they tow it" they replied, " bro, they just yanked that thing up on a flatbed." Anyone who knows how to properly tow a car knows that a BMW is to be towed by the screw in eye bolt and pulled up on said flatbed. As I can see from the gate there is all kinds of damage to my bumper and lord knows what else from the tow.Initial Complaint

I paid $305.00 cash to this impound and they are refusing to give me a receipt unless I have an email. They specified that they do Text or email receipt. Just want a receipt, not looking for anything else.Initial Complaint

This company towed my car from my apartment complex on 01/17/23. I contacted *** (the owner) on that same day who told me they charge $30 a day for storage fees for my vehicle. I asked him, “So if I bring $120 in on Friday, 01/20/23 would he release my car? He said, yes. I get there and call the office (because they don’t let you come in) and the guy on the phone tells me $370. I tell him that’s not what I was told. Then the owner *** comes out and he tells me I owed him $280 for that first day and then $30 a day which is $400. I tell him that’s not what he told me. He stated he did. I also have a witness who heard him quote me this. I tell him I contacted the police. He says fine and leaves. Another one of his employees pulls up and asks me what’s going on. I tell him he says he’s going to go check on it and see what’s going on. He comes out and tells me that the owner said he’ll let me have my car back for $470. I’m like no that’s not what I was told. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…..
