Bought a car from John Smith in October 2023. First of all it was not listed as prior salvage, but okay. There was a wobble when test driving so he took $400 off the price, as he said it probably needed an alignment. However, it ended up being much more costing us $1200 in suspension work. In the meantime we contacted him a week after the purchase about an oil leak. His mechanic told us the car needs a valve cover gasket. John told us he would have the repair done if we ordered the part. Then he told me he would order the part as it may be cheaper for him to do. We have been to his shop twice and no parts were ordered even though he told us to come in for the repair. I finally spoke with him confirming he had the part. However, we have been getting the run around on when to bring the car in. He is not responding to my calls or voice-mail. The communication is extremely poor with this establishment. And I'm sure this oil leak existed prior to us purchasing it and it was also not disclosed.
