    I live, or am about to say "lived" in a Padsplit this company runs in Blue Springs. As a result of complaining about the dish washing machine that has been broken for 6 months, they decided to remove me from the home, illegally. Slumlords at best.

    I have two grandsons who leased a home on NW Walnut Street and they have ended up with water in their basement three times. The water reaches the first step of the basement stairs although it eventually recedes. After the first one, they contacted the LLC and they sent out a repairman (eventually). The repairman said it wasn’t a house problem, but the water was probably coming from a sewer stream that runs by their house which is city property. The city water people were called and they said it was a sewer stream issue. My grandsons have moved out for fear of mold and more water in the basement which has already ruined a lot of things the boys had stored down there. After the third flood, my daughter got them moved out, but the company is refusing to let them out of their lease, no deposit back, nor the $200 that they paid for the first flooding repair (I say this lightly). There were other issues, but I have surpassed my word limit already! I went in to the company to talk with them and they sent my grandson an email saying I was agressive. I'm 76 years old and walk with a cane (which I didn't use on them)! Marilyn T***** Can't send this with no star rating, but it deserves a minus ten!

    BEWARE of Sterling Home Rentals. Similar to other reviews 2 months into our new 1 year lease, we were contacted for an inspection (mind you, we just did our 1 year inspection a few months prior) for "insurance". Two months later, we get a notice on the door to terminate the lease giving us 30 days to move because the owner was selling the home. Not a phone call, not a knock, not an email. LeAnn was not responsive when we called to ask questions. Based on other reviews, this is their business model. Do not sign a lease that has this clause. To sweeten the deal, they offered to sell us the home and bonus! If you use Sterling as your broker - you can "save" money while they're pocketing more. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of Sterling Homes.

    I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I could. I would never rent from this company again. We had multiple issues from them. The basement kept flooding and all my furniture got ruined and they finally came and fixed it after a month. They made it extremely difficult to pay rent. And when we moved out they kept our entire deposit, fast forward to two years, we got a phone call today and by a debt collector saying we were late on our "rent" which means, LeAnn put our deposit in her pocket. And while we were living there the whole time she would call us threatening us we would get get kicked out if we didnt rake up our leaves or trim the vines that the neighbors had that grew up our fence line. And when we would call back to pay rent our phone numbers were ALWAYS BLOCKED AND STILL ARE! Beware of this company! I never mess with peoples money but this lady is very shady and if you have any concern she will usually hang up on you or block you.
