    I order a Canadel table in September of 2022 the sales person was not as knowledgeable as I thought she was. I ask questions about the code for the table leg she didn’t know why the one I found on line was different than the one she was using. I ask why the color I was going to order I could find where I found the table with the leg I wanted. She didn’t know. I thought the table we were building was the table I wanted, it was not. I had to sign off on the order which I did because I thought she was ordering what I was wanting it was not. I thought I was ordering from a high end furniture store the sales person would know the product they are selling she did not. I got the table in December it didn’t look right my husband and both noticed it was the wrong legs. I called and went by the store. I talked to the manager as soon as she seen what I was talking about she said that leg is not available on the table you ordered. I said if I was ever told that I would have chose a different table. I was lead to believe the whole time by their sales person I was getting what I wanted. I spent $3600 on this table that they are saying I’m stuck with it because I signed off on order. But as I said I only did that because I was lead to believe by their sales person that I was getting what I wanted. You spend that kind of money you expect to be dealing with knowledgeable sales people in a high end furniture store. They only person paying for the mistake is me. None of this seems right.

    High-end furniture, yes, but very disappointing customer service. We bought an expensive sectional couch after the designer visited our home and suggested it. When it arrived, we were shocked at how huge it was in our small living area. It literally takes up more than 50% of the floor space! Every person who came into our house immediately said "whoa--that's BIG!" or some variation on that, as in, what in the world is this enormous thing doing in this modest space? The designer never should have recommend this product--it is completely out of proportion to the space it's in, which violates basic design principles. When we told Shubert Design that we did not want our money back but only wanted them to work with us to get a product that would fit our space, even if it was less expensive than what we bought, they simply kept repeating that we had bought it and it was ours. They did absolutely nothing to help us, or acknowledge that their design person had maybe made a mistake in recommending a product that was monstrously out of whack to the space, size-wise.We have bought other products from Shubert, and been satisfied with them. This is the first time we've had an issue with a product of theirs, and we were frankly surprised that we were treated so poorly. Especially when we were polite, respectful, and didn't even ask for our money back, and it was a large sum, and had been previous customers of theirs. None of that seemed to matter to them. We try to support our local businesses. All we wanted was for them to help us try to find an alternative couch that would meet our needs AND be appropriate for our small living space. Because they would not treat us with the same respect we treated them with, and simply left us with an expensive product that is laughably large for our space, we felt we had to alert other consumers about how they had treated us and just know going in that the customer service you get if something goes wrong might be really awful, like ours..
