  I hired this contractor to take my porch off and move it. He never showed up. My neighbors helped me to do it. He was supposed to move the underpinning steps and stairs but he never did it. They moved it on 4.30.24 and he was supposed to put the steps and stairs on. He put up temporary stairs to my back door. I had to use it and fell down, drove myself to the emergency room because of my fall. My attorney suggested I file a claim in small claims court and report it to the BBB. I would like my money back and money for my injuries and having to go to the emergency room.

  This is about American Independent Contractors.  I contacted him 5 weeks before I moved.  I was told that was plenty of time for him to get everything done, come over do my job.  He said he would be there, never showed up.  Took underpinning down, threw it in the yard, rained on it and ruined it.  Then he took it to my new place, threw it on the grass with the lumber.  It was killing the grass, I had to move all of it.  He never took the screened porch off my house.  I sat all day Tuesday waiting for him to come over.  At 5:15 pm my neighbors, lots of people came over to help me get it off because ******* was due to come over Wednesday morning at 7 am to move my home.  He showed up at 6:30 pm.  He never removed the floor of the porch.  I lost $130.00 deposit because of that.  When they moved my home on 4.30.24 he was supposed to come over put my steps and porch on my house.  He never came over 5.1.24 put my back door steps on my front door, they are not safe, 3 steps, no rails, said he would be back in a day or two, never showed up.  On the 5-9-24, I came home, the wind was bad, as I came into the house the wind caught the door, the door caught me, I fell 3 feet to the concrete.  I drove myself to the hospital, had c.s.  I was bruised from head to my knees.  I'm 71 years old, it could have been much, much worse.  I'm still getting over it. 

  He never put up my underpinning, cleaned stuff up, nothing.  I had to go to my old place, pay a friend to help me load my small porch on her truck because I was about to lose it because my lot rent was up, paid her $30.00.

  I had to buy all new under pinning's, pay someone else to put it up, cost $2,000.  He looked up my sewer wrong.  It went up hill, never sealed it so I had sewer gas in my bedroom so I slept on the couch.

  This man should never do any kind of work for anyone.  I'm on a fixed income.  This has taken all my money.  I called him and asked for some of my money back.  He said I wasn't getting any money back.  I hope you can help.

  I also have a very upstanding person that knew how he did me.  He went to the ************************* with to tell them how bad he was.  He would be glad to talk to you.  This man's name is ****.  He hooked up my air and furnace:
