In October I signed an agreement for an $800 loan through Atlas and TBO Bank. Payments of $53.56 were to be withdrawn from my account weekly until the loan was paid back with interest. I made 18 payments now at $964.08, so I went to my account to see if I was close to being done with this. To my surprise and horror, it’s showing that my interest rate is 346.3653%! My $800 loan that I got to help with Hurricane preparation is going to cost me $5600.21! That is absolutely unheard of and is illegal in the state of Florida I believe. If I wanted to pay it off now, the payment would $800, so none of the payments I’ve made have even gone towards the actual loan. I have reached out to them today via email and am waiting to hear back. Please help me figure this out and put an end this insane situation. Thank you.

I, a Georgia resident, was issued a loan for $2300 at an APR of 252%. The Georgia Installments Loans Act not only prevent unlicensed entities (Atlas by TBO Bank is not licensed to offer installment loans to Georgia residents) from originally offering this loan, but even if they were licensed, the APR exceeds the Georgia limit of 10% APR on such loans under $3000. I am concerned that this loan is illegal and am seeking more guidance on whether I should actually be paying back this loan.

I took out a loan with Atlas. I still owe the entire amount that was loaned to me. I then noticed that the internet rate on my loan is 268.2578%. That is not legal. I would like to request that my loan is considered paid off by Atlas and my account be closed.

When I first took out this loan for $1,000, the company told me the payback would be a little over $2,000, I have already paid $3,164. and when I realized that I was still being billed for this account I called the company, they told me that I still owed $1,537.14. I told them that that was insane. I went back and looked at the contract, and it was not what I agreed on, they tricked me into signing this contract. and they also said that I get double charged one for the crazy interest rate of 238.3539% and then and additional six dollars and some change a day, I can't give the exact amount I don't see it on the "contract". I need help!

I am writing to address a concerning issue with my loan account. Upon reviewing my account details, I noticed that the reported interest rate on my loan is 208.4244%, which appears to be significantly higher than legal limits. As per the Predatory Loan Prevention Act (PLPA) in Illinois, the maximum permissible interest rate on consumer loans is 36% APR. It appears that the interest rate associated with my loan exceeds this legal threshold. I kindly request that you review my loan terms and adjust the interest rate to comply with Illinois state regulations. I would appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter and ensure that my account reflects the correct and legal interest rate. Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue. I look forward to your prompt resolution.

This bank claims I authorized a loan of $1200 with an interest rate of 394% APR. $13 and some change a day. This is illegal. The company has withdrawn over $3100 from my bank account. I am siding them for fraud. And I am reporting them.
