I applied for a 1400 dollar loan from this company. I got the loan and gave them permission to draft my account on my paydays. A month went by and I wondered if they were getting paid because I didn’t see it on my statement. Long story short, they were trying to get the money on the day I get paid but too early before the money hit my account. Now I’m nearly three payments behind and I never got an alert about my payments even though they have all my contact info. I couldn’t even find the agreement made with them anywhere until I backtracked in my browser and that’s when I found out I was behind. The kicker and the main reason I am here is because they are predatory as I realized I am on the hook for a 398% APR which means for 1400 dollars I will owe them over 10,000 dollars and that makes no sense.

I took a $1600 dollar loan from you guys at the end of June. I have already paid back the total amount of the loan and plus some! I’m not understanding why there is over 300% interest rate, (which is not legal to do so) I sent an email asking why my total just kept going up and wouldn’t change after I made a payment and you guys only responded with saying that the faster I pay the loan the less the interest rate would be. Even though I have already paid it back! It doesn’t make sense that taking a $1600 dollar loan turns into having to pay over $9,000 back? So therefore I’m not understanding what I need to keep paying if I already paid the loan back and more in 3 months! I would really appreciate some answers that will help figure out what we need to do to resolve this situation.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have already reached out to the business before and nothing was done, my questions never got answered either. I feel as though I’m not getting the proper help needed. I’m being scammed and I will not be paying anything else until someone contacts me about what’s going on and fixes my issue.

I am a working single mom, also going to school, and I needed help with rent and found Atlas online and took out a $1200 loan. $107.22 comes directly out of my paycheck every Friday and my balance only keeps rising due to an APR of 348.0430%!!! How is this right? I have been paying on this loan for three months and my balance is $1,642.95. I am now fearing eviction and I would like my account settled and closed because I technically have paid this loan off already. Please please help me. I can't even receive my degree because now I cannot afford my last two classes.

I borrowed over 700 dollars from this company about a few months ago. I agreed to pay them 95 dollars twice per month for at least 4 to 5 months. I called them not too long ago to find out when will this loan be paid off. The agent told me it will take around 24 months to pay this loan off because they charge 6.22 each day. That was something that I was not aware of. They advise me to make extra payments to pay this off. If I were to only pay 95 dollars bi-weekly per month, they said I will have to pay this off in another 44 payments which is 24 months. I have never heard of that before and I feel like I'm being ripped off. So far I paid them 475 dollars.

I recently took an emergency loan with this company in the amount of $1200. After making 6 payments totaling over $800, I checked today to see how much was still owed on my loan. It is somehow saying that I still owe over $1100! Making my apr over 300% which is illegal in Ohio! Not only that why is a loan and ON TIME payments not being reported to any credit reporting angency? This company is taking advantage of people!

I entered into a loan with this provider not then knowing that they charge illegally high interest rates. It is a rate of over 300%, my states maximum is 38%. I have already payed them over $1000 and they expect over $3000 more, for a loan of $800.

In April 2024, I sought financial assistance and was offered a loan by Atlas Personal Finance for $2,900. From the beginning, their website was difficult to navigate, and important details of the loan, such as the interest rate and repayment terms, were unclear until the final step. It wasn’t until after I had nearly completed the process that I realized the loan carried an APR of 168.5347%, which is illegal in my state. The finance charges total over $7,000, resulting in a repayment amount of almost $10,000—more than triple what I borrowed. This information was hidden in a way that made it nearly impossible to understand until it was too late. I was in a vulnerable financial position, and Atlas clearly took advantage by misleading me into terms I never would have accepted if they had been disclosed upfront. Since then, I have made over $1,000 in payments, but the loan’s predatory nature has caused me significant financial stress. I’ve tried to contact them to discuss this, but their customer service has been dismissive, offering no resolution. They continue to aggressively pursue more payments under these predatory terms. This entire experience has been extremely stressful. Not only am I dealing with the financial burden of this unfair loan, but the lack of transparency and difficulty in communicating with Atlas has made the situation worse. Their deceptive practices and refusal to work with me have caused a great deal of emotional strain. I am asking for the following: Immediate cessation of all collection activities. A fair resolution to reflect the illegal and deceptive nature of the loan. Confirmation that no further negative impact will be reported on my credit due to this predatory loan.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address a concerning issue with my loan account. Upon reviewing my account details, I noticed that the reported interest rate on my loan is 198.0324%, which appears to be significantly higher than legal limits. As per the Predatory Loan Prevention Act (PLPA) in Illinois, the maximum permissible interest rate on consumer loans is 36% APR. It appears that the interest rate associated with my loan exceeds this legal threshold. I kindly request that you review my loan terms and adjust the interest rate to comply with Illinois state regulations. I would appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter and ensure that my account reflects the correct and legal interest rate. Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue. I look forward to your prompt resolution.

In October 2023 I took an emergency loan out of $2000 to pay for a last-minute unexpected expense. Since taking the loan out I have payed well over $4000 in bi-weekly payments of $193 and my payoff is somehow over $2000. Making my interest well over 200% which is well over the maximum of Washington state. I have recently lost my job and can not continue to go into more debt to pay this absurd loan. I believe my current total payment of $4000 is more than enough to settle this loan.
