On 10/3/2021 I purchased a 2007 Pace Arrow Motorhome from 417 Coachworks, specifically ***** ******* in Ozark MO for $60,000 with his guarantee that they thoroughly test all systems in the coach prior to delivery, and they all work as intended, in fact that is what it states in his mission statement on his website! So I returned after about a week to pick up the coach and drove it 150 miles home to my river lot. Upon filling the coach with water I noticed water running out of the middle of the coach body, so I called him to alert him to this problem to which he stated take it somewhere to be repaired and he would pay for it. Well on the weekend there is nowhere to take it to be repaired so I investigated myself and after a few hours found a pvc pipe had come apart which drains the fresh water tank, so I fixed it. AND NEVER GOT PAID. THEN we found out that the TOILET DIDN'T WORK EITHER, so another call to find out what he was going to do. He said bring it back and he would get it fixed, so another 150 mile trip back to Ozark MO. After showing me a bill from his repair shop for $2200, he states its fixed and brought it back. IT WAS NOT FIXED! So he says take it somewhere else to be fixed and he would take care of the bill, But I DON"T TRUST HIM and however nobody wants to work on this system because of how it was designed with NO Access! So I had to fix it myself by cutting a hole in the kitchen floor to gain access to the vacuflush system, and found it was plugged up solid and ruined the system, so I rebuilt the entire system and fixed the hole in the floor. At this point I sent ***** a bill for the repair in the amount of $1552.40 which was more than reasonable and He Refused to pay unless I leave good feedback for him on several social media sites to which I refused! I will not be extorted. Bottom line is Nothing was checked out, and he wants me to sue him to get any money from him. Water and Toilet are pretty important things to have working in an RV!Business response

To whom it may concern:
We would like to dispute the following complaint with the BBB. Attached is our statement, text messages between the owner of 417 Coachworks and Mr. *******, a fake invoice from Mr. *******, and a copy of a receipt from ***** ****** repair shop where we paid ***** ****** with check number **** (attached is a copy of the check deposit) for repairs for Mr. *******‘s repairs.
Here is our statement as follows:
Mr. ******* came into our office 10–0 7–2021 inquiring about our 2007 Fleetwood pace arrow (Vin#*****************) asking price for of $69,900. He was pleased with the pace arrow and agreed to pay for it AS IS (attached is the AS IS form signed by Mr. *******) for 60,000 as a MO Dealer.
Mr. ******* called her office on 10-10-2021 With complaint about the pace arrows toilet which we happily told him to bring it in and we would have our shop manager look at it and fix what was needed. Mr. ******* told us to come to him in Jefferson City to pick the pace arrow and bring it back to him and to Jefferson City so we did that for him.
The Pace Arrow was repaired at 417Coachwork’s expense on 10-18-2021 for $2,265 by ***** ****** Repair shop (receipt attached).
417 Coach works then deliver the pacer back to the customer and he still complained that it did not work. 417 Coachworks shot manager proceeded to show Mr. ******* how to work the toilet, it worked fine, and Mr. ******* was happy.
Six months later on 3–2–20 22 Mr. ******* began texting ***** ******* and cursing about the toilet again (text messages attached). Then sent us a fake invoice, invoice attached, stating his business in an RV repair shop when in fact it is a car dealership. We questioned the invoice and he proceeded to curse by phone and text and then said “see you in court “.
417 Coachworks believe we as a company have complied with Mr. ******* from the beginning. We sold it to him AS IS Knowing he was a fellow capital M capital MO dealer.
We went out of our way to repair and help Mr. ******* as far as paying for a repair for $2265 even though the customer signed the form. Including going to Jefferson City to pick up and deliver back the pace arrow. We believe we were very patient and understanding with Mr. ******* even with the belligerent responses and threats. Please take our dusputr into consideration as we believe we did all we could do, and we have done more considering the cursing and threats, for Mr. *******.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have no idea if he actually paid someone to work on this motorhome because this was his "friend" that he took it to and he knows nothing about fixing motorhomes and charged a ridiculous price and did not fix a thing! when they brought it back it still did not work! It could NOT have worked because the entire system was plugged up! And I told him that right away, NOT 6 MONTHS LATER!! ***** ****** who owns 417 coachworks told me and my wife both that "THEY HAD A PROFESSIONAL CHECK OVER EVERY SYSTEM ON THIS MOTORHOME AND IT ALL WORKED AS IT SHOULD" THIS IS A HUGE LIE! THEY MAKE YOU SIGN AS IS STATEMENTS WHEN YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM BUT WHEN YOU TELL SOMEONE THAT IT ALL WORKS AS IT SHOULD, WE EXPECTED IT TO WORK. BUT OBVIOUSLY IT DID NOT AND THIS IS WHY HE KNEW HE NEEDED TO MAKE IT RIGHT. The spoken word is just as binding as the written word! I have every text from him that states HE will pay to fix it like it should be and can produce them upon request! The bill I sent him was legit, I also have Pictures of what had to be done to repair it and also sent them to him! I OWN AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP, and I was trying to be nice with what I charged him to fix it. HE OWES ME THE MONEY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!
Sincerely,

As a previous response indicates we have provided documentation that we paid $2300 to an outside vendor (Ken's Mobile RV repair) to fix the vaccuflush. The consumer indicated at the point of return that all was working well and he was satisfied. Five months later he contacted us with a problem that we were willing to resolve until he started over texting and cursing at us.Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:Look, I sent you all the texts which show that I have spent the last 7 months trying to get restitution from them for fixing my own motorhome! HE KNOWS THAT IT WAS NEVER FIXED WHEN IT WAS RETURNED TO ME, YET HE TELLS YOU THAT IT WAS! MY TEXTS CLEARLY SHOW THAT IT DID NOT WORK EVEN AFTER HE SUPPOSEDLY PAID ONE OF HIS FRIENDS TO "FIX" IT!! HE DID NOTHING TO FIX IT! IF HE DID IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY PLUGGED UP WHEN I CUT A HOLE IN THE FLOOR TO GET TO THE UNIT!! READ ALL THE TEXTS I SENT YOU!
Sincerely,
******* *******
