Date of transaction: 2-24-2022. Paid 18 payments of $152.05, totaling $2,736.90. I am unable to get the number called, ************, to answer, always busy signal. After reviewing BBB reviews, it is possible this is a fraudulant company. Many attemps to contact has been unsuccessful. Not even sure our vehicle is covered. I originally purchased a policy with *** in December, 2020 and paid $2825.00 by payments over 18 months. During that time, I had no claims. On August 2023 I received a billing for a new policy that I had not purchased. I tried calling several times over a period of 3 1/2 months, which included calls to NAA (where I was put on hold, one time for 2 hours) and Walco Payment Plans. ***** tried to resolve the issue with NAA, but nothing happened. Now I find out *** is out of business. My original policy should be effective until 1-13-26, and I just purchased a different car, so I would like my prorated refund.Initial Complaint

My mother-in-law had a policy effective 12/8/2020 through 01/06/2026. They contacted her midway through that and sold her another policy for $3,795, effective 9/14/2023 through 10/14/2027. When she realized it was a duplicate policy, she tried to cancel, then asked me to try to cancel on her behalf. We talked with a rep and he noted I was authorized to work on her behalf. On 10/23/23, I sent a certified letter indicating MIL wanted to cancel both policies since she was going to be moving into an assisted living facility and would no longer be driving. No response or refund to the letter. ***'s December credit card bill now has a $150.21 charge on 12/8 for this. None of the phone numbers I call actually reach anyone, one of them cuts me off after about 15 seconds. Their website is not active. We are seeking a refund of the $3,795 for the new policy (which they never should have sold to her) and the portion of the remaining policy which was $3,346 originally. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. MIL name and policyholder is *****************************.Initial Complaint

We have only ever sent one letter to this individual. They are making false accusations and should actually fact check their info prior to submitting a review. Also the BBB should do a better job of making sure reviews like this are removed because the individual has zero facts to back up their statement. It’s very simple, check who the letters have come from and ONLY one has come from our company. If this is the first notice, how would we know you did not have the car any longer? We would however love to fix our records, if you can provide your Customer ID number we could fix this error on our end. Again the BBB should hold themselves at a higher standard than to allow a complaint like this to actually come through.Business Response

We removed this app number from our list. Please remove the review bc there is zero facts to back up their story. We only sent on letter, and if they would like to resubmit a review with the correct info that would be great. The BBB should do a much better job of vetting complaints/reviews. You accreditation process is long and very difficult (bc of how the staffing works there and no one communicates) These reviews/complaints are posted with zero facts and zero background checks. Most of the reviews on our page are far from the truth. And we call know that clients read only the negative so our responses are worthless. The BBB should hold themselves to a higher standard and should be ashamed of how they treat my industry.Customer Answer

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference tocomplaint ID ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as I was removed from their list. If I receive another letter I will file another complaint and/or take the legal route. Also, the statement about this being the first letter is completely incorrect. I’ve received about 5-7 the past few months to a year.
Sincerely,
****** ******Initial Complaint

Selling bogus warranties. Calling and sending lettersBusiness Response

We have only ever sent the person one single letter offering quality coverage to them. They have not told us nor have we been notified until now that this person would like to be off our mailing list. I have since removed this person from our list. And this complaint should be removed because we pride ourselves on making sure we educate every single one of our current or future clients about the product and what to expect during a claims process. A single letter from us hold no merit with this complain because this person has confused us with other companies. The *** should do a better job of filtering complains and hold themselves to a higher standard. Allowing complains like this to be on a company’s page is unfair practices and the *** should be held to a higher standard than this. We have always fixed and addressed any real issue that has come across. Again we have send one single letter to the person and they are confusing us with multiple other companies. This is very easily checked if they would just look at the letter and actually read it and the simple fact that the phone numbers are different would tell you that we are not the problem here. To the person who made the complaint, we hope you find whatever solution you are trying to get by taking this steps. A simple phone call to us next time and this all could have been handled and you would have known we are here to help.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the same day I filed they responded to an email. I asked them to stop responding they kept sending emails. I had to do a reverse look up of the phone number to get the company name. Letters have no return address or anything. They send letter to my wife and me both. I'm not afraid of an attorney. Look at the reviews on the company website!! Everyone has same complaint. They never put company name on anything.

We have only ever sent one single letter in the **** to this individual. We encourage this individual to send the *** ANY and ALL proof to back up their story. I can however prove we have only send one single letter to them. No emails, no phone calls, no other means of contact. They are clearly trying to paint a narrative that makes their story seem much worse than the actual facts would lead someone to believe. Again I can not stress this enough, the *** should hold themselves at a higher standard when submitting these kind of erroneous reviews on company’s profiles. F- For the *** for allowing this to continue.Customer Answer
