#200 Once we opened the door, you could instantly smell mildew, and a slight smell of rotten food. Our 8 yo. has heavy asthma and has been to the hospital several times for troubles breathing so we have to be safe. When bringing our drinks in my wife opened the fridge and an overwhelming rotten food smell came out. She immediately closed the door, but the room was already filled with the horrible odor. Upon the inspection we found growing white/gray mold growing under the fridge. Shortly after we also found that the toilet would not flush or refill with water. I called to the front desk and she said she would switch us rooms. #212 again we could smell mildew, but after the extremely long day and move from the first room, it wasn’t as overwhelming compared to the exhaustion. We didn’t dare open the fridge #214 I came back to the front desk and let the young woman know about the issues with our second room. I then asked if there was a bathroom I could use there close to the front desk because neither toilet we were given worked at all. I showed her pictures of the issues, and asked if I could be refunded letting her know that we would just collect our things and leave. She said she could not refund us, but we would have to wait until the morning when the manager was in to talk about the refund. Knowing it had already been over an hour at the hotel she offered for us to switch rooms yet again and issued us card to #214. I went over to open the sliding window to allow fresh air in because the mildew/wet smell was so bad from being in there all night. When I turned around I noticed black mold spots all over the backside of the wall of the living room area. I went on to explain that we had found a full wall of black mold spores (I’ve worked in the apartment property management field for 12 years and definitely know what black mold looks and grows like). My wife let her know that we have a son with bad asthma.

May 6th 2023 $235.19 is the cost I am wanting returned. The hotel was very unsanitary and there was black mold in the room. I feel like this should have been either disclosed or resolved before doubling the price of the room due to a college graduation that I was not even in town for.

I arrived at the Hotel late yesterday evening 04/04/2022 around 11pm  First Room *** -> I believe this was room number  When I first arrived at the hotel I went in and got my room key and went back out and got my suitcase.  I normally check the room before I go in but I felt comfortable because it was a choice hotel and I almost never have an issue with choice.  However when I went into my room I noticed a plethora of issues that I will have documented below with pictures that will include. A booger smeared on the bed, an exposed electrical wire with copper sticking out that was coming out of the wall, BLOOD SMEARED ON THE CURTAIN, multiple bed stains on both queen beds, a spider hanging from shower ceiling, a bad odor, and a toilet that would not fill up properly. None of the blankets had been washed. I handled my finding peacefully and asked the guy at the desk to move me to a new room.  Second room Room *** -> I believe  He handed me a new room key and assured me this room would be better. Upon arriving at this room I found the bed entirely unmade and the blankets hanging off the bed from previous guests. (Pictured)  I didn’t look any further and I went back down the elevator again and showed the front desk my findings with a picture and he then assured me he had a 3rd room for me to check. I graciously took the new room key for the 3rd time and upon arriving to this room I was again very disappointed, the beds were both full of stains and had a bad odor. I didn’t look any further for more issues, I was ready to leave the hotel. I couldn’t stay in the room. Asking for a Refund  I went downstairs and showed him the pictures I had taken of each room and that I would really appreciate a refund so I could move on without conflict. He refused me a refund and became belligerent and rude. The hotel has since refused a refund claiming I checked in although I didn’t do more than walk into the room and backout I left the hotel and stayed elsewhere.
