I accidentally partially started to set up an account with **********************, before I found that they were not licensed to provide video visitation to the jail where my friend is being held (awaiting arraignment).When I contacted HomeWAV, explaining my error, they refuse to delete any of the information I had provided, claiming that they are "required to" (by whom or what law they do not state) keep it all. Thus, they can then market my information to anyone else.HomeWAV, LLC

Under no circumstances do we utilize your account details for marketing purposes. HomeWAV is required to retain specific account and usage data to comply with contractual obligations and legal mandates. This information is subject to automatic deletion once the legally required retention period has passed. Furthermore, accounts with no financial transactions or service usage are automatically removed in the subsequent calendar year.This data retention is necessary because HomeWAV operates in direct connection with correctional facilities, and we are obligated to maintain records related to visitation and other pertinent details that could have legal implications.I was unable to locate a HomeWAV account associated with the email address provided in your Better Business Bureau inquiry. Therefore, I cannot confirm its current status. However, if you did not add a contact due to our lack of partnership with the specific correctional facility you mentioned, your account will indeed be automatically removed within the year.I understand that this process may be frustrating, and I regret that we are unable to expedite or circumvent these legally mandated data retention procedures. It doesn't stay connected at times and it will take away from the funds no matter if you connect to the person or not on video calls. The prices are to high for texting and everythingHomeWAV, LLC

I see that our Customer Support team raised an IT ticket on March 10th regarding the connection issues you were experiencing with Mr. ************ calls. Our IT team reviewed this later that day and noted that several successful calls were made after the ticket was created, which led to the ticket being closed.A subsequent ticket was raised on March 17th. Our IT department conducted a thorough investigation and determined that the reasons for the unsuccessful calls were "inmate-hangup," indicating Mr. ********** may have disconnected before you answered, and "recipient not accepted," meaning the call was not answered by the visitor.I am genuinely sorry you experienced such difficulties connecting with Mr. *********** and that our team wasn't able to pinpoint the cause of the issue at the time. We understand just how vital these connections are, and it concerns us that your experience fell short of what you deserve. Even though Mr. ********** has been released, please know we are still here to help in any way we can. To be educated in detail with compassion was the highlight of the call. The courtesy extended was phenomenal and appreciated. Definitely felt like I was speaking with someone who valued me as a person and that also handled my concerns with extreme regard.
