1 starDo not go here! I've been fighting with billing for months, going back to services provided 16 months ago. I have 2 insurances and they refuse to obtain the *** from the primary insurance first therefore my secondary won't pay. They say it takes too long to sit on hold with my primary insurance and that it is my issue to get the *** and send to them. They send me bills through text messages and refuse to take my phone calls. I have spoken with both of my insurance companies who state that the contract with the dentist and insurance has a code of conduct in which the dentist obtains **** and submits claims without any action from the member. This isn't the case with Nikodem. Most recently they told me they don't have to help me at all and they can refuse to send my claims to any of my insurances and just send me the bill instead.Review fromMattie D

1 starDO NOT GO HERE! They over charged our care credit card by $7000! And before I caught their deception or "mistake", we had already payed $1000 in interest which they wouldn't pay for. I am still debating about taking them to small claims court over ******* give context and more reasons why not to go here... My husband had a full mouth extraction with the plan to get standard upper and lower dentures. They made false promises that my husbands dentures would look similar to his old teeth that they molded, which was such a lie. They looked so far from real. They initially charged us $12000 on the card and later when my husband went to get his second or "final" pair of dentures, they said he still had to pay over $500 to take them home....when he called and told me this I knew something was wrong and thats when I started investigating in detail the charges. This office had no manager when my husband was going through all this and it was the biggest headache of my life trying to figure out ******* have been warned.Review fromRebekah B

1 starI believe this business is performing and billing for procedures that are not medically ************ husband and I had to transfer dental care after our dentist stopped taking our insurance. We chose this office purely for convenience as its not too far from where we live. We have always gotten a cleaning every 6 months previous to switching to this office and have very good oral hygiene. When we went in for our initial appointments (different days) we were both given treatment plan packets. These contained the services and of course pricing of recommendations. We were told that we needed very deep cleanings that would take several appointments and we would even have to be numbed! Both of us were very shocked by this. We had never been told this or recommended this type of cleaning before by any dentist. Of course, this treatment would not be cheap. These extra appointments came with additional cost not only to ourselves but also our insurance companies. This felt off. My husband was asked if he wanted fluoride and that it was an additional $25. He declined and they did not apply the fluoride. A couple weeks later he gets a bill for $25. No biggie. Mistakes happen. We called the office and they told us that the medical record states that fluoride was applied so it is going to be his responsibility to pay. After discussing this with the manager she agreed to remove the charge. A couple weeks later another bill and a text that money is owed. We decided then to change providers. This was in 2022. Since this time we have still never been recommended this type of deep cleaning by our general dentist or hygienist.Side note: Several of these extra cleaning appointments were canceled by office staff right before the time of appointment. I was even in the parking lot preparing to enter the building when they called to cancel.Review fromJoseph C

1 starThey are thrives. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I'm a father of 5. Work hard for my money and I suffer daily because this place was allowed to rob me. I paid for a permanent partial in full before the procedure. Was left with a temporary one that causes me pain daily. All because i missed an appointment I couldn't keep because of transportation issues. It's wrong and should be illegal. Got Noone to speak up for me. I feel like a monster with what they left me with. Didn't deserve this treatment. I paid for something and was robbed in return. I tell this in hopes of saving others out there. If they can do this to me. They can do it to anyone. I may be left to suffer, but you don't have to take that chance.Review fromAdelaid A

1 starWould not recommend to my worst enemy, civilian, enlisted soldier or veteran. First visit, of course they will be nice and get you in the door creating a veil of the true characteristics of the staff. The dentist, ****** will not give you a moment of his priceless time; unless you are a large dollar sign going into his bank account. Giving false presentation of what you are in for should you decide to return. Extremely disappointed in the disregard for patients health and coercion used towards patients who have questions regarding treatment. I have had voicemails completely ignored, intentionally hung up on multiple times and placed on hold for 10 minutes at a time so that I would give up. The ********************* location is purposely leaving clients confused, concerned and distressed after spending hundreds of dollars, always well above "estimated" costs. Front desk staff purposely refuses to answer or explore important questions in which they feel is not worth their time or effort unless you are willing to spend thousands of dollars blindly. Your issues and concerns are quickly underminded regarding the care and work that is serviced. I have been hung up on and ignored by your staff with full confidence. Specifically by ***** and ***** at the front desk. These two alone being the first people you speak to and see; should not be working in a dental office. Let alone any sort of ***** care facility. It is an absolute outrage to call this location a professional establishment. Whether or not I am the ideal client ready to spend thousands of dollars on dental care with no questions to be had, I should not have been treated in the ways they have proudly presented. I was severely warned about this location and its staff by people whom personal know the staff and did not listen. I hope to save as many people as possible from making the same mistake that I have done.Review fromCheryl F

1 starA month ago I went into the ****** **** office . My husband and I have gone there for years. Sixteen months ago I had a root canal on a molar and a bridge put in. I was having some pain on the other side but the bridge felt loose. They told me I needed a root canal thank crown on the one molar and that I needed to have the bridge cut out and the moral pulled. Oh and bone grafts. I decided to not have the root canal or crown and just have that one pulled also. They told me that my dentist didnt do that that I needed to see this other dentist in the same office. I didnt ask to go to him they told me he had to do it. I had the work done my part of the bill was $3200.00. Only to find out 2 weeks later that my insurance was only going to pay 50% of the precedure because the dentist that I was told had to do it was OUT OF NETWORK. Had I known I would not signed the paperwork they have you sigh. I know thats a patient responsibility to find out if the dentist is in network. For customer service reasons and patients that spent a lot of money there they should have told before hand. I would not have let him do it. But I think they knew that. I think they should pay 25% of the 50% that Im now going to have to pay. Plus I found out they charge twice as much as other dental offices for bone grafts. They charge $800 for each one I had and other Fe to charge $400 for the same thing. After this is all said and done not sure Ill go back. They could let patients know that not all there dentists are the same when it comes to insurance instead of letting patients assume because there in the same office. Horrible customer service.Review fromChelsea Z

1 starThis office is exposing their employees PATIENTS to black mold. One dentist (only an employee), two full time assistants, numerous hygienists and one office manager who is out to intimidate and s**** each and every patient over. The day of Monday 2/12, 2024, the entire office was exposed to black mold through hazardous material being unveiled in the basement that left 3 employees in the hospital. This is such an old practice (that is being bought out by a corporation) whom is trying to reinvent their office by means of intimidation, lying, deception and incompetence. They are against OSHA regulations; in fact they arent even aware. This practice is full of women who are only about money and greed; not the safety of employees or patients. This is coming from a person who has dentistry in their genes. 20 plus years to be exact. I am completely fed up with fives that will put their employees AND PATIENTS at risk!!! Put a salary and a fee schedule on that! You cant!! Nothing good happens in this practice, so go somewhere else.Review fromMartin V

1 starI had no idea this Dentaloffice was so shady. First they told Mr over the phone my cost would be between $3200 to $2500. My insurance *** was $4500 and they wanted every dime of it. Because I take Xeralto blood thinners they told me I HAVE TO go to their oral surgeon to have all of my teeth surgically removed. Which I do not believe was right extractions in the past I've simply been told to not take my blood thinners for a few days before the extraction. They told me I was risking a fatal heart attack doing regular extraction procedures of which I've never had a heart attack risk in the past. But they insisted it was for my own safety. They woman in charge of finances knew.my ***************************** did not pay for surgical extractions but insisted I go there anyway. But before I was able to leave they took moldsof my teeth ( not.my gums ) to order my dentures before my teeth were even extracted. Molds are made of an individuals gums not of their teeth. They simply wanted to bill my insurance co.panu another $2600+ for my.dentures before.my teeth were even extracted. I called thus woman and explained to her my insurance will pay for surgical extractions at the oral surgeons anywhere ( which she knew before I was referred to the surgeon of their choice) they are very efficient at decieving patients in order to ***imize every dollar they can. All they cared about was burning up the $4500 avaliable on my insurance on x-rays and molfing my Teeth not.my gums. The woman Very RUDELY told me over the phone that I can take the referral theywrote me anywhere I wanted to then very abruptly and RUDELY told me to have a nuceday and hung up on me. Now I'm going to own a $2600+ pair of dentures for my teeth that aren't extracted yet. I'm going to another dental firm with my useless pair of dentures molded to my teeth. The entire visit I felt all the lies and their intent to si.ply bill my insurance for every dime they could get. I advise everyone DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRM .Review fromPatricia F

1 starThe receptionist is not the hygienist and does not have rights to patient rights. I refused a service and they would not move forward with their services. I should not have paid up front for their services. They try to enforce more procedures after you have paid your bill.Review fromAngela Y

1 starHorrible experience. I went for a consultation in dentures. I arrived early for my 9 am appointment 20 people in waiting room. I was taken panoramic x-ray, the assistant let the machine turn and bump both my shoulders. Took me to a tiny room, no exam light, I told her I was very anxious about this possible procedure. The assistant tells the doctor with in my hearing that I was extremely anxious, I am sure the other patients heard this. The doctor asks, "what are you here for" I said looking into maybe dentures, did not show me x-ray, no oral exam or explain procedure. just put her fingers around lips and looked at gums about 3 seconds. She said "I do this all day everyday" (well lady I do not do this everyday), then she left, the assistant started the quote with a calculator, charging for 32 extractions, I have 20 teeth . then assistant said "ok let's do the impressions" I said no, I am getting out of here. This place seems like an assembly line, they do not ask patients questions or explain procedures, no bed side manner what so ever. By the i got a bill for the x-ray, which AFTER the bill office staff said "if you would have said you had pain, then ******** would have paid for that" It all sounds shady. I called made an appointment with Florissant Dental care, the kindest, attentive folks there and no assembly line feeling.
