      This business did not provide the license/certification promised, did not return my phone calls and then threatened legal action when I cancelled this charge with my bank. There are several foul complaints against this business for similar reasons on Reddit, BBB, and a slew of other sites. I was also told later that I could have registered directly with the *** for a fraction of the cost. Do not be fooled by this scam, refund my money now!

      I was looking to register my drone with the **** and this business misled me to their website advertising TRUST certification and I accidentally purchased a card from them without completing the TRUST. I would like for my order to be canceled a refund from this business if and would be happy to have them contact me to make it right.

      I recently purchased a drone and was aware that I needed to register it with the FAA. When I searched the internet, I came across their website which is set up to deceive people. Their website is ********************************** Their phone number is a recording that provides no assistance.

      I took a drone pilot’s license test through their website and they sold me a FAA Lanyard with and ID for a total of $36.98 order # 8511340 on Jan 11, 2022 and I have not received it. After multiple emails they have not responded to my claim.

      Despite clear instructions provided to the customer by email at the time of purchase (in the order receipt email on January 11, 2022), the customer was unable to upload or provide the original PDF file from his TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test) administrator that we needed in order to print his ID card. We made multiple requests to the customer with clear instructions to provide the needed files before cancelling and refunding the order. We responded to every single email that the customer sent to us and it is potentially libelous that the customer states otherwise.
      The instructions in our file upload form clearly state, "Click the Add TRUST File(s) button above to upload your original TRUST certificate in PDF format (only). Your TRUST certificate was provided by your administrator in PDF format as soon as you completed your test. It may also have been sent to you by email. Click here for an example of what your TRUST certificate file should look like." On January 11, 2022, the customer uploaded a black and white, crooked, photocopy of his TRUST certificate. The resulting ID card that we could make from this file would have been of such poor quality that it was not worth printing. It should be obvious to the customer that we can't create a beautifully printed ID card from a file that is essentially garbage. However, we emailed the customer on January 12, 2022, to again request a copy of his original PDF certificate:
      "Hello,Thank you for providing this, however we'll need the original PDF file provided by your TRUST administrator in order to print your TRUST completion card. This will result in the best looking card once printed.If you have your PDF file in your email (most TRUST administrators send it to you via email after you complete the test) you can forward the whole email to us at ********************. You can also download it from your TRUST administrator and send the file as a reply to this email.Please let us know if you need any help."
      The customer ignored our request above and sent us another email on February 25, 2022 stating, "I have not received the items that are purchased".
      We again responded to the customer on February 25, 2022:
      "Hi *****,
      As stated in our reply email on Jan 12, we need the original TRUST pdf, not a photocopy. I've gone ahead and cancelled/refunded your order."
      The refund was issued on February 25, 2022 and the customer was notified both in the email above and automatically from our store platform that the refund had been issued.

      When I got a new Drone I realized that I have to register it and get a course to be allowed to fly it. After a search I was directed to this web site: https://www.trustfaa.com/ The website directed me to enroll so I can get the curse but to do that I had to chose a Trust Completion card and to get that delivered to me the amount required added up to $36.84 I assumed that amount was required to get the test completed. But then later I found out they have no access to the test result and they are asking me to upload my test completion results so they can just print it and mail it for me. After I realized that I asked for a refund and they replied as follows: ==== From: TRUST FAA Sent: Sunday, January 2, 2022 12:31 AM To: ********************* <*********************> Subject: Re: TRUST Hello, Thanks for reaching out. You'll want to go ahead and submit your TRUST certificate so we can make your completion card and get that in the mail to you. Note that per our website terms and conditions we clearly don't offer refunds for the TRUST completion cards. Please visit ************************************ after you finish your test to provide your certificate for the printing of your card. Remember that you are the only person who has access to your completion certificate. The FAA and your TRUST administrator cannot reissue your certificate if you forget to save it. Please let us know if you need any more help. Name: ******* ******* Email: ********************* Message: I would like to cancel my order for you to ship me a certificate of my completion of the free test ===== Printing information that the consumer will provide and mailing it to back to the consumer shouldn't be billed at $36.84 this is a scam. This website should be changed to clearly state that they only provide a printing service and the price should be adjusted to a reasonable amount.

      This customer (******* *******) contacted us on January 1, 2022 via email to request a refund for a non-refundable purchase made that same day. The customer had purchased an id card product that was to be made from his photo and a certificate he was to provide after passing a certain test (TRUST-The Recreational UAS Safety Test...which is a test administered by the Federal Aviation Administration [FAA]). The price for this card, $24.99, is a fair price for the amount of work we do to market and create this product, provide customer support, edit customer photos, fulfill orders timely, and answer customer questions relating to TRUST. The customer's statement that the "price should be adjusted to a reasonable amount" and that "this is a scam" is ridiculous as we did not force the customer to make this purchase, as further detailed below. The customer voluntarily purchased this item and also upgraded his shipping to USPS Priority Mail (2-3 day shipping) for an additional $11.85 which brought the order total to $36.84.
      It is clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions that we do not offer refunds for any purchases made on our website (please see image below). This policy will not change as a result of this complaint. As the customer indicated in his complaint, we informed him that we do not accept refund requests via a reply email on January 1, 2022. We expected the customer to promptly complete his purchase after passing his test by using our fulfillment page to upload a copy of his test completion certificate and his photo which was to be professionally edited by us (cropped, color adjusted, and touched up as needed) and placed on his completion card.
      The customer is incorrect in stating that a purchase was required ("I assumed that amount was required to get the test completed)" in order to enroll for the test. As shown in the image below, a customer can simply select "No Thanks" in the two dropdown menus to avoid any cost.
      Our next communication from this customer was an email received on January 16, 2022:
      First of all I do not see anywhere on your website that you say that you will not provide refunds.Second, according to California laws I am entitled to cancel service within 5 days. My request for canceling your service was sent within a day after I discovered there is not substantial value for your service and for sure not at the price you are asking for.Please confirm refunding the full amount to my credit card, or I will report you to the legal authorities and will start a class action lawsuit against your company on behalf of all Californian's that have been fooled by your service, and requested a cancelation that was ignored by your company.I will give you 5 days to respond to this eMail with a full refund confirmation, after that time I will take action.
      We have already shown that we clearly state on our website that we do not issue refunds. Regarding the remainder of his email, we believe the customer is referencing the "Home Solicitation Sales Act" in California. The customer is ignorant of the meaning and intent of this law as nothing in it applies to us. The customer can consult with an attorney, if he wishes, for more information. However we will briefly provide these rebuttals:
      • Existing law authorizes a buyer to cancel a home solicitation contract written for certain home improvement work until midnight of the 3rd business day after the buyer receives a signed and dated copy of the contract or offer to purchase that complies with specified requirements. [The customer's purchase wasn't for "home improvement work"]
      • ...any contract or offer in the amount of $25 or more for the sale, lease, or rental of consumer goods or services (or both), which is made at other than "appropriate trade premises," is subject to the Act's cancellation provisions..."Appropriate trade premises" means the place where the owner or seller normally carries on a business, or where goods normally are offered for sale in the course of a business that is carried on at those premises. If the sale is made at the "appropriate trade premises," the three-day cancellation rule does not apply. [The sale was made at our normal place of business, our website, i.e. "appropriate trade premises".]
      • Virtually any consumer transaction in the amount of $25 or more which takes place in the buyer's home or away from "appropriate trade premises" can be canceled by the buyer, without penalty or obligation, if the consumer gives a proper notice within three business days without giving a reason after the buyer signs the contract. [There was no signed contract, this was a simple purchase of goods. Our no refund policy is no different than any other no refund policy posted at any retailer.]
      Despite all of this—and most hilariously—we already issued a refund to the customer on January 1, 2022 after we did not receive the customer's files for printing. The customer has gone to all of this trouble to fight for a refund that was issued weeks prior. Evidence of the refund is shown below. The customer was automatically notified of the refund via an email from our online store (or he simply could have checked his credit card account).
      Thank you for the opportunity to provide a detailed response to this complaint. We look forward to continuing to provide the drone/unmanned aircraft community with the great products and services we've become known for since 2016.
