This company charges you more than what is actually on your receipt when you use a debt card. They claim its to ensure that the merchandise will be paid for by adding an additional 40% to the charges. I am currently disputing the charges at my credit union. I spent a total of ****** on materials, the first receipt I was given was for ******, the second receipt I was given was for ******. The first charge that showed up on my mobile app from my credit union from GRAYBAR ******** was *******, the second ampunt they hit me for was ******. Later that day they hit my accound for ****** with a grand total of ******* worth of charges. I asked why they took more than was on receipt and they claimed its a pending chrge and that I should get the credit back in a few days. I went to my job 17 mile away and relized that some of the materials I requested were wrong. At this point I decided to take back 2/3 of the materials which totaled ******. They still owe me ******* after the returns. How do these people justify thes charges really and how inconvenient for the electrician to have to wait to get his over charges back. Has nothing to do with holds, pending transactions it has every thing to do with theft and charging more than what is on your receipt! I advise everyone to look carefully at your purchases with this company!!!

Any discrepancies between the amounts charged by the merchant(Graybar) and the amounts seen in a "pending" status are temporary, as the customer's financial institution processes the debit card transaction.   The temporary variances are due to internal processing protocols by the customer's financial institution and are not controlled by the merchant(Graybar).  Graybar has received notification from the customer that no overbillings occurred when the transaction was fully processed by their financial institution.
