      On November 4th, 2021 i inquired about an event space. ******** ****** responded telling me her deals she had going on she sent me a video of the space and i asked if i could come see it in person, she explained to me that the times that worked for me and my schedule did not work for her. i was patient and still worked with her, she asked me for 150$ deposit on a 200$ total. which makes no sense at all if that’s 75% of my deposit and you only require 50%. we negotiated and she agreed to do 100$ deposit so i sent the deposit on Monday November 8th. Once sending the deposit she sent me a full email of everything that came with the package i’d paid for as well as refund information. Her initial email states “ There are no refunds when booking in less than 30days. You can reschedule for a different date if needed due to an emergency.No deposits/funds are returned just dates rescheduled.” Being that my event is scheduled for Dec 18th 2021 that means i paid my deposit well over 30 days before my event which means it was planned longer than 30 days, her rules say no refunds under the terms of planning within the 30 days. On Dec 1st, i asked her for a refund politely and she said no refunds when we are this close to the event date… which to me makes no sense when that was never provided in the initial statement or on her place’s event page. i asked her if she could just return the refund, she ignored me after we had been exchanging words through facebook messenger for weeks, she just keeps leaving me on seen. Then she sends an email stating exactly what i just told her wasn’t in the email to try to be funny and petty, which still means nothing because she failed to provide the information earlier. This business is dirty & disgusting on the inside, it reeks of mold & moth balls. the area is junky, she did not provide what she claimed to have and this establishment should be shut down immediately!!! i’m so upset i wasted my time with this business!

      Reached out on 10/21/21 via massager on Facebook to ******** ****** on rental of hall on 10-30-21 for daughter 6th birthday party from 5-8 with set up time free 2 hours from 3-5with gracious event space at **** ********** *** ***** ** ***** at $75 a hour and $100 for table and chair covers with sashes for chairs. I sent$ 90 on 10/21/21 then $60 later that day another $100 on 10/24/21 and $75 on 10/29/21. Messaged several time from day one contact. I have messages. On day of party ******** ****** reached out to ask how many guests are expecting advised 40 or less. Then reached out 15 mins before 3 pm set up time advised she was running late. I had advised I was on the way a hour after she advised she was running late. When I got to your location the tables with chair covers and sashes where not complete the location was still not clean from your party the night before floor not completely swept trash can running over, large table still had stuff from night before not to say it was cold as you advised you just cut heat on and it’s coming from way in basement we start coming it will warm up. Back room still had chairs not my chair color and games pieces and cards all over the table and floor. I needed covered table and chairs in pink and Gold for minimum of 40 people. That was still not completed. Owner started to mop the floor and tables are not completely set up had one covered table with 6 chairs covered. I then said don’t mop get the tables together. My guest will be here any time. My guest started coming and it’s still only had 3 tables set with 18 chair covered. They look at the location and jump into action of cleaning it up. Sweeping the floor taking the trash out and my son bringing chairs that you covered one or two more from the back. Still no 40 seats. I start to brake down my family then start to tell my guest to wait in their cars. It’s now 6pm and I still don’t have 40 chairs and tables covered. I say that’s it I can’t take it anymore I want to leave

      On 10/21/21, the consumer contacted me on Facebook.  We talked about pricing and different things.  She told me she was in the hospital and she would give her deposit when she got home.  She sent $90 for the deposit.  Her event was on 10-30.  I normally close my books the week before.  I allowed her to send multiple payments until the day of the event because of he circumstances.  She sent $60 on 10/21, $100 on 10/24 and $75 on 10/29. I normally give one hour free for set up.  Because of her circumstances, I have her two hours free.  They are responsible for arranging the layout which includes moving tables and chairs.  On 10/30, her set up time was from 3:00-5:00.  She told me she wanted to cancel the event.  I was placing the covers on the chairs at that time.  She said she didn't have what she needed to decorate.  I told her I didn't have anyone booked after her, so she could stay later.  She told me she didn't want chairs in the back room because of her 360 camera.  She asked to line the chairs up against the wall.  Normally, I do not help with that but I assisted her.  I assisted her with other things.  She said the facility was not clean.  I didn't know the cleaning crew did not come out.  She had other demands and I helped her with her set up.  Her decorations hadn't arrived yet.  About 5:00, a guest arrived for the event while she was setting up.  The decorations didn't arrive until after 5:30.  Then she said she didn't want to do this anymore.  I didn't have anything to do with her decorations.  I was doing everything I could to help her.  I went above and beyond to help her.  I talked to her and she wasn't having it.  I stepped away and I spoke with her husband.  Her husband told me he would take $125 for a refund.  I told him I would refund $175.  I requested the refund through cashapp.  She said she wanted all her money back and I told her that's not what we agreed upon.  I'm not sure if they received the refund.  She threatened to take me to court.  I haven't spoke with her since.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The owner is not telling the truth. My decoration where deliver by my husband and I was decorating around her trying to get the table and chairs for the 40 guest. The chairs that where in the back are from her party the night before. They where not pink and gold like my chair covers where to be they where white. I did put my 360 booth in the back my table and chairs for 40 guest was to be in the front. Never asked her to help decorate anything. When my guest arrived the location was still dirty my guest started sweeping taking out trash from her party the night before. The floor was wet from where she went to mop the floor but I told her to get the tables covered and chairs for 40 guest with sages completed.  My guest was like it’s cold and dirty. After seeing my guest cleaning her place I rented I had a brake down and was ready to go. It was too overwhelming. I just had surgery. I just wanted my money back she still only had 18 chairs covered not the 40 she should have. By this time it’s 630 pm my daughter in the car my guest are still in their cars. I asked for a refund. She asked my guest is there anyone she can talk to. My sister in law said her husband. She told him she would give him $175back I asked for a full refund she said her phone was dead he got her a charger then she said have to add money to cashapp. she had no right to give him anything I asked for a full refund she had business with me not him. I reached out and asked for my refund and she still had not sent. Here are messages between us never did I agree to $175 refund. Asked what she was changing me for she never answered. I have messages no responses from her. I am requesting a full refund. I have witnesses to the whole thing. She continue to say she will send $175 said it will come it never had but I don’t want part refund I want full$325. I told her I will take her to court. Trying to settle this without court. Who would rent a dirty place? Still no tables and chairs for 40. I have pictures. Me and my son help move tables and I help cover one table. As you see she admits location was not clean table and chairs not completely done. So why am I not getting my money back.

      The company never refunded the $175.
