1 starThis company is a RIP off..I have investments over a two year period..I went from 50k to 43k..The representative I worked with was fired.. his father had 20 years service. Before being fired I had met with advisor and changed investments to graduated CD'S..well after a month or so..I called to check if everything was in order that's when I found out the advisor had been fired and nothing had been done as far as cd transfers..that account had been sitting there in cash...I withdrew my investment amounts. I filed a written and verbal complaint with edward jones on November 29, 2022 and still have not heard anything on my complaints!! BUYER BE VERY AWARE!Review fromLauren P

1 star***** ******* of Newbury Park, CA was my advisor for about 10 years and mismanaged my investments. The biggest issue and why I ultimately left was when I was in the middle of escrow (a sensitive time when you can’t move or change account info) she became irate that I didn’t use her husband as our realtor and sent me threatening messages very late at night via Facebook. She told me she was ceasing all communication with me, blocking my number and moving my money to a new account and advisor without providing me any info. I immediately called EJ HQ in the morning as this was beyond inappropriate, it was reckless and illegal. She refused to speak with me as I continued needed funds transferred to an escrow account etc. NO ONE from EJ corp office or legal complaint ever called me to discuss or assist me. I received a letter “dismissing” my complaint. This causes significant implications with our escrow process and delays. How can someone controlling and managing investment accounts be so reckless and emotionally immature and still remained licensed? I’m also so disappointed in EJ lack of any response to my dire situation. NEVER trust this company with your money. As soon as we completed escrow I immediately moved my money and closed my accounts.Review fromEric B

Decided to transfer my IRA from Edward Jones; 6/17/22, to another company. The branch manager/financial advisor #****** has made my life a nightmare!!!!!!! He continued to put up roadblocks, to make my life miserable, threatening me that if I took out my money, he would no longer be my financial advisor! That's one of the reasons I wanted to transfer in the first place! He never was an "advisor!" He continued to lie about the transfer procedure, making it difficult for me. When I finally chose a company to transfer funds, they faxed the transfer info to Edward Jones, which could be a wire transfer or overnight mail. The Edward Jones advisor verbally said this money would be moved on July 28, 22. The receiving company said they had not received it. On 8/22, I noticed in my online account a letter was sent to the receiving firm. Half of the information, account#, etc. in the letter was missing. Next, another letter was generated with more info, but still incomplete. A half-a__ attempt on Edward Jones behalf to transfer funds! I received a call from him this morning claiming that the receiving firm "rejected" the transfer. He said everything was correct on Edward Jones end, but the account# on the receiving end was wrong. We verified the account # with the receiving firm and it is correct. I have had nothing but foot dragging, lying, and deception, with this company! I even got his branch manager involved, to no avail! Evidently, Edward Jones covers for their branches, branch managers, continues to make excuses, and will make it unbearable to the client when they want to transfer out funds. It is 8/8/22, and still no resolution in sight! Don't ever trust your $ with Edward Jones!Edward Jones

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! These people stole my grandfathers hard earned pension. A young blonde girl who works in the office completely scammed my family. How this place is even in business is a mystery. Illegal does not even begin to describe the half of it.Edward Jones

Dealt with ***********************, financial advisor in ************, ** at ***********************. Misled my 94 year old mother into signing forms she didn't need to sign, so that he could gain money. He did not communicate with her or guide her on necessary matters. Beware of his branch! Hopefully, he will not continue to mislead elderly or anyone else. Very sad and unprofessional!Edward Jones

My Ej advisor's secretary phoned out of the blue, (after having been with them over 5 years) to inform me that my account had been transferred to a different advisor. No one asked me if this was ok, or even asked my permission to do so. Not only was my money moved to a different advisor, (and charged me to do so,) it is now in a different state! How the **** is that legal? I'm going to start the process of getting my money away from Edward Jones. I know why he gave my account up as well. It wasn't one of his big money accounts and he didn't want to deal with smaller accounts anymore. The man should be dealt with by the company. I want nothing more to do with EJ.Edward Jones

1 starWhen I initially met with my new advisor, I specifically asked for my investment to be "low risk." After losing alot of money I asked AGAIN that any possible adjustment be made to ensure I was at "the lowest risk possible." After losing yet more money, $15,000, I called the home office and asked to cancel my account and was told that, "I had been at Fairly high risk and then adjusted to medium risk." NOT what I was assured at all!!! Expensive lesson!!!!!

2 stars1) I asked to be sure to offset funds which dump capital gains on clients 2 weeks before end of year. Advisor left company and incoming one had no clue: left with a fully taxable $28,000 capital gains.2) Got a report of an automatic buy/sell with a $3,700 discrepancy. Two months ago, I requested clarification. To date, no response.3) Forced to sell RMD so requested advisor to wire funds to bank. After 5 days, no confirmation from bank. Advisor forgot to complete transaction.4) Wrote CEO of **** with above complaints. Asked not to contact advisor until home office contacted me as I still have to work with advisor. Two weeks plus: no response. Today, voice mail from advisor: we need to talk. Obviously, home office failed to honor my request.
