I hired ******* Blake of Amazing he's and cooling in August of 2024. He was to install a hvac system on the second floor of my home. We agreed to a price and I tendered him the deposit with the understanding that he would pull a permit for the work and complete the job in a week. Fast forward to today. He stopped answering my calls and when I inquired about the inspection he started talking crazy and saying he wasn't going to finish the job. Mind you he stated on a number of occasions that he would complete the job but never showed. I went down to the permit office to check the status of the permit only to learn he never pulled the permit, It was pulled by another company as hes not licensed. I had no idea he wasn't licensed. Had I known I would have never used him. I wound up having to use the gyy who pulled the permit for him to finish the job just to move forward after losing a month with Amazing Heating and Cooling. It also cost me an additional 3k to keep my project going. ******* Blake is a fraud and a scammer who should not be allowed to do business in the ********* area. Do not do business with this Amazing Heating and Cooling under any circumstances unless toy enjoy chaos and confusion.Business response

The work was already completed. Another company called me to go over there, Jim never called me directly to come there. He went down to City Hall and said Blake didn't have a license. I was doing the work for the other company. There was still a balance on the job. I did not receive all of the money off the job. I will not be giving him a refund, another company took over the job and they charged him extra money for things that needed to be completed that Jim didn't want to pay for on a separate unit. Jim took me off the job because the inspectors did not come on the day he wanted to come. He kicked me off the job. I didn't quit.Initial Complaint

In November of 2023 I hired Blake ******* of Amazing Heating and Cooling to install 2 furnaces and 2 3 ton ** units on my home. Blake was paid $10,000 and stated he would be back to install the ** units. I texted Blake repeatedly that I wanted to proceed with getting the ** units installed immediately. I also texted about the vents being full of debris and that some vents were missing and/or not in the proper spots. Each time I texted he stated he would come out and never showed up. I contacted the Stl City inspector to find out Amazing Heating and Cooling is NOT a legitimate business and he has another company to pull his permits. The mechanical supervisor states hes never heard of the company. The furnaces were never powered on by Blake. He left my home filthy and vents full of debris and acted as if he would return. This man and his company are fraud and he needs to be put out of business. It is May 2024 and I have not heard from this man. I do not wish to do any further business with him or trust him in my home. I just want my money back!!!Business response

I hired ***** with Amazing Heating and Cooling to replace a furnace due to the blower not blowing causing the AC not to work. At the completion of the work, ***** told me there would be a $150 extra fee because there was a short in the low voltage wire that he had to track down and fix. I agree to pay him the extra and promptly paid him the full amount. Shortly after the same issue returned. ***** told me he would come out that day to fix it. He did not. I called to follow up the next day, he said he would come that day to fix it but would not give me a time. He never came, nor told me he wouldn't come. I was forced to hire a different company to fix the issue. The issue happened to be the same issue that he charged me $150 to "fix". I requested a refund for the extra $150 but he declined. I told him he could come back in 2 days. The wires came off inside the air conditioning and I believe that blew the fuse on the furnace. I was never inside the air conditioner. It clearly states that the wire came loose on the outside and the condenser.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I was told multiple times ***** would come out to fix the issue on the first day contacted and then again the following day. He never contacted me letting me know he would not come. He just never showed up. His statement that he told me he would come out in 2 days is a lie. ***** also charged me $150 extra to fix the low voltage wire. If it was fixed this problem would not have occurred. The business that came out to fix the problem confirmed this.

I contacted Amazing Heating And Cooling on 7/3/2022 I stated I My a/c Unit Was Not cooling my Home,, **** @ amazing Heating And cooling responded To access the Condenser operation To the unit On the outside of my Home ,,amazing A/c Failed To diagnosis And properly inspect my unit They suggested A new capacitor @$250 And the unit Was low on Freon 2 pounds @ $169.00 A pound,,,, the a/c Tech **** And His helper Failed To look inside The Unit And failed to perform any type Of pressure Testing To find Any leaks in the system… instead They refilled A/c Unit and replaced Capacitor ,,,, 7/4/2022 I **** ***** Contacted ***** @ amazing A/c And advised Him I had no a/c Situation In my Home, once again,, ***** The Owner returned to my residence checked Freon levels Which Was low Again,,, ***** At this Time asked to borrow My Ladder To Look at the Top of the unit Only To Find There Was a Very Large Leak in my A/c System which Should Have Been addressed And brought To my attention prior To refilling the a/c System with 3 pounds Of Refrigerant (Freon) ,, basically ***** and His assistant Failed To properly Diagnosis/ inspect This System Had They Fully Inspected This Unit and looked inside of unit You Can clearly see Oil And Freon Inside The Unit Which Is continuing To leak out,, This unit Should have been Taken out of service And replaced Prior To Replacing Any Part And attempting To refill ,,,Blake the owner of the Company Realized This on the 3rd Visit For a Service Call,,,, I’m Requesting a partial Reimbursement half Of the total invoice Which is $570.00 ,,Business response

We added a capacitor because the condenser was not working. We checked the freon and it was very low. The wife told us to put freon in it. We did not see of hear any leak. When we rechecked it and it was low again. We went out on the 4th of July. We explained to the home owner that they had a leak. I did not charge him for any of this. He never called me back at all to talk about repair or replacing the unit. I am really surprised to get this complaint, because we did not put the unit in their home.Customer response
