Matheny Heating & Cooling installed a Mitzubishi mini split HVAC unit with a ceiling cassette in a room in our house in summer 2020, costing just over $6,000. At the time of the transaction, a contract was signed that included a 10 year warranty for the product. The unit worked as intended by the manufacturer for the first 3 years. However, last year, the unit stopped cooling properly. Matheny has been out +14 separate times throughout the last year to troubleshoot the problem. Each time, we have had to follow up with Matheny to get them to come back out. Last July, Matheny confirmed if this last replacement part did not work, they would need to replace the entire unit, as it has to be defective. They said they ran into a similar issue with another unit and had to do the same thing. They confirmed all parts and the unit are covered under warranty. They claim that they are going through the requirements that are set in place by the manufacturer; however, each time they come out now, it seems we have started back from square one - this has been going on for over a year now. Matheny continues to push us off, in the hopes that we will just drop this case. Per our contract, the mini split unit needs to be replaced and Matheny is not complying. We paid over $6,000 for this AC unit and it only worked for 3 years. Matheny is not abiding by their warranty.

My AC wasn't working and they came out multiple times attempting to fix the issue. He told me I needed a coil replacement and overcharged me for the coil installation but later reduced my bill by half the amount. They told me they would call me to perform the services I needed but they never did.  They just sent a bill for past charges. So today I received a bill saying I owed a past due amount of 1389 dollars for work they didn't do and services I never received. I have since had my AC fixed by another company.  My interaction with this company has been terrible and I want others to be aware. I asked to speak with the owner about my issue and no one has ever called me back. I have dates and receipts showing my interactions with this company as well. I have other details to attach as well.

I have to spoken to customer and at that point I thought the issue was resolved.  Customer was mistakenly sent a invoice for work that was a purposal, but was not a bill but that has been cleared up.  She was never billed for work that was not completed we have phone records as proof.  We offered a free maintenance visits for the inconvenience.

In April of 2021 Matheny Heating & Cooling replaced a boiler in my basement. Part of the contract (paid in full) was for a subcontractor to install a check valve (as per city code) and Matheny to schedule and attend a city inspection. The boiler works great, but to date I have no check valve or inspection. Over the past year Ive contacted Matheny 4-6 times, twice speaking to the project manager (*****) and twice speaking to one of the owners (***** Matheny). On all four occasions they said they would get back to me, but did not. What I want from Matheny is the check valve and inspection Ive paid for.

The work for this consumer has been completed by Matheny.  There was an inspection that needed to be done by a certified boiler company; this has been completed as well.
