      Called up to set up service told them o need minimum notice of 20 min tech called me and said he can't give more than 15 minutes I guess they just expect you to wait for them all day!

      If I could give a zero to this company, I would. We had autopay set up to cover our monthly bills with Spire for years. When our credit card expiration date came, we got a new card. Sometimes the new card kicks in automatically, sometimes it doesn't. We didn't hear anything from Spire, so we assumed the autopay was working fine. Today a man came to our door and told us he was a contract worker with Spire. He said our bill was way past due and if we didn't pay him the money he was cutting off our gas. My husband and I have been victims of fraud before and we were very suspicious. The contract worker said Spire had somehow lost much of their information about their customers. He was very rude and didn't even want to give us time for a phone call to Spire. When I called Spire on the phone, I learned that our old credit card had expired and the new card had not kicked in. They didn't have any contact information for us at all. They obviously hadn't notified us of the problem. The Spire employee on the phone did begrudgingly apologize. We did eventually clear the matter up. I was so angry that I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. This is no way to run a business. It is definitely no way to run a public utility.

      Doing updates in my neighborhood, the employees are non responsive, unprofessional, lack any communication of length or breadth of project, won't respond to calls or texts to the numbers they gave us, and are irresponsible with peoples property and lives. I made an emergency gas smell call and the update crew said they never got the call a week later. I also saw them laughing (not helping!) at my 95yr old neighbor as she tried to get to a car in her ****** as she tried to navigate the piles of dirt, tape, debris and cones. The projects are being ran terribly and no one seems to care or respond when we call for info. Poorly management and poor communication aren't the way to do business, especially when they are feet from peoples homes and many people work out of their homes.

      They wouldnt let me cancel service even though I didnt live there anymore. They are now double billing me for the last month at ************ and new activation at my new place. I inquired with customer service and they told me I never called to cancel - which I absolutely did. And they never addressed the double billing. Basically I am being forced to double pay because they are the only gas option available.

      My gas was shut off due to the previous tenant having an over due balance. When I called (Wednesday) and verified that our gas was not going to be shut off they said we were in good standing and had no issues. Today when I noticed there was no hot water I called again to find out service was turned on at the wrong address, that we currently owe $30 at an address we do not/have never lived at, and that because of the account being changed at the customer service level (changing our address from Terrace to Street) we were going to have to wait till Monday and talk to customer service before someone could turn our gas back on. This is absolutely ridiculous. I'm expected to pay for service that I have not received (gas being on at the wrong address) and waiting until Monday to receive the service I am paying for so I have hot water to bathe and clean my house). **************** was absolute trash attitude as she just passed blame down the line to customer service.

      I want to give a shout out to ******** who works in customer service! Thank you ********, I give you 10 stars! I've read some of the posts on this site it seem pretty negative about their customer service and they just like to say that sometimes you have to be patient and polite and persistent to get to the bottom of things. I've lived in the same place 2 years I was on the average pay plan and paperless it didn't pay any attention to the actual bill just noticing that the charges were being withdrawn so I was pretty shocked when I came home one day with the gas shut off and a reconnection notice exceeding $600 on my door. It was inconvenient but mistakes happen and that's just what it was a mistake. Once I provided them with my lease ******* was able to identify the mistake and correct it that day. My service restored. So if you're having a legitimate issue, hang in there, be patient and they will work to resolve it with you. Thanks again ******* to you and your support team.

      My gas bill has gone up considerably Jan, Feb of 2023 and when I called customer service, I was told that the rates have gone up. Told her I didn't understand why my bill would be so high. No way did I use that much gas. Its just me and my husband here and my son down the street who has 4 kids and a bigger house paid $160 in Jan and mine was $430. Outrageous!!! Both our houses are under 3 years old. I want my meter checked but was dismissed. She told me to check for other gas companies in my area. Trust me, if there was one I would cancel this company in a hot minute! I just lost my job two weeks ago and now I get to deal with a gas company that doesn't care about any customers. What a heartless company!!!

      Revieved a $400 gas bill on a home I sold two years ago back in April 2021 , was told by Spire customer service I have to notifey the new owner. The bill was for usage last month, December 2022, Apparently the new owner defalted Spire claims I'm responceable even after providing proff of the sale

      I'm on budget billing for gas my bill last month was ***** I paid the bill today it was ****** why couldn't you tell people ahead of time that the gas is going up I'm on SSI so I guess I can't pay for my medication this month thanks spire energy

      Billed for gas never used. **************** is a joke. Canceled service, paid fraudulent charges, closed acct. They keep sending emails about setting up an acct. Worst customer service ever!
