Tried calling to cancel an online subscription. Was speaking to somebody in the ***********. They said their computer computers were down and would not be operational for some time. I then emailed the St. Louis Post dispatch at their customer service email address on February 25, 2025 as of today, I have not heard back from them verifying that this subscription has been *********** going to assume that other consumers have the same issue that they cant talk to either a human being who can cancel it or theyre told to call back another time.Below is my text of the February 25 email to their customer service ************* whom it may concern, I tried calling your phone number and was switched to ***** or the *********** to cancel my online subscription. They said they did not have the ability to the They were not technologically connected to your publication.I then tried to cancel on your chat bot. Evidently for a high-tech publication that youre supposed to be your call center is staffed by incompetent people.I do not want my subscription renewed.I want written verification that the subscription has been canceled before its renewal date so you do not charge my credit card. Please provide me that information. Today is February 25, 2025.If you do not process this properly or charge me, I will reach out to the St. Louis Better Business Bureau and the Missouri Attorney General. I think you all purposely are trying to avoid people canceling subscriptions so you can charge them on their credit cards. Either that or youre very incompetent as an organization.

My online subscription price was increased $10.00 in February over the amount I paid in January AND CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD. I was not notified in advance of this increase. I have been calling for the past two weeks to the Post Dispatch customer service to cancel my subscription and have been told that due to technical difficulties there subscription services are not working. So the first of March I'm going to be overcharged again.

The website says you can manage your subscription, but in actuality, it is rigged not to provide you the information to access. It demands a look up of your account number using information like your name, phone number, and email. Yet none of the information you provide will result in access. I even input my account number, so there should have been no lookup, and it still kicks me out. The only way to cancel your subscription is to call their sales people and go through a pitch, after providing yet more information.I am going to file a complaint with the ***. I understand the *** is working to outlaw such shady cancelation practices. It is a sad commentary on the lack of integrity of the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

I just called the second time to get my e-edition delivered to my email. It has not shown up since election day. I finally was able to reach someone several days ago who said that administration would correct the problem and it would be in my email yesterday. It has not been there yesterday or today.I've tried for the last hour to reach a ***resentative by phone with no luck. The recording said that a *** was not available and I need to call back during business hours. It's 10:30 am which is during business ******** frustrating!

We believe that St Louis Post Dispatch is disreputable, lacking honor and integrity. We cancelled our subscription and are still being charged for another month or we would be charged a "early cancellation fee". Now we sorry we have subscribed to this paper since 1975.

Apparently the Post Dispatch allows one to start a subscription online but makes it difficult or impossible to cancel their subscription in the same manner. I have tried multiple times to cancel my subscription using the online links provided on the Post Dispatch website but I am unable to do so. In this case, you are provided a phone number to call but this service is only available weekdays during normal business hours. It should be just as easy to cancel a subscription online as it is to start one.

As if higher subscription prices, spotty delivery, lesser content and atrocious customer service weren't enough on April 24th I canceled my digital subscription with the St. Louis Post Dispatch. On April 2, I received a renewal notice from STLtoday Update that my subscription "effective 04/25/2024 your subscription rate will change to $18.94 per month. Your next charge will reflect this new rate."Days prior to April 25th, I renewed my subscription to $2.06/week and the subscription change confirmation stated that the change was to start as soon as possible. On April 17th, a charge of $18.94 was on my credit card. When I discovered the charge on April 24th, I called customer service. They could not clearly explain the charge or my balance of $19.65 but noted in May I would be charged the $2.06/ week.

I have had the Post delivered to my rural **** ******** home for over ********************************* they could no longer deliver to my home. I tried their suggested delivery by US Mail for a month, but decided getting the Sunday paper on Tuesday was not going to work. I cancelled all service with them in November. They charged my credit card for December deliveries that I never received. The fee was $50+. I called them Jan. 25 and again March 5 about a refund and was told both times it was being processed. It is now March 25 and still no refund. My advice is to never allow the Post to automatically charge a credit card for their deliveries. They cannot be trusted.

On December 4, 2023 I wrote a check to pay for subscription to the Post Dispatch for a 3 month period and the amount was for *****. The time frame was for 12-24-23 thru 3-26-24. In yesterdays mail I received a bill to renew for the next 3 months. The renewal was for the period of 01-20-24 thru 04-19-24 and the amount was for ******. I had previously paid till 3-26-24. I called customer service and talked to an individual named ******. He had a super deal and could reduce the ****** to ***** and extend the subscription until 3-17-24. Just a week short of the check that I had written for service till 3-26-24. I cancelled my previous EZpay because of questionable charges, they do not give credit for vacation hold. I am a firm believer in supporting the local newspapers but will not be swindled by the Post Dispatch fraudulent business practices.Cancelled on their web site.

*** Enterprises and the Post Dispatch participate in quietly increasing the price of E-Edition subscriptions. They do this frequently without notification to customer. You May start at $4.99 a month. but then 5-6 months pass and you see they have billed your credit card increasing amounts. It is akin to theft. When I called they indicated notifications were sent out via **** HUNH? for my electronic subscription? This is a scam of an excuse it is dishonest and reason enough to cancel subscription.
