    I have **** ********** and I've had it less than 4 months. I pay $150 every two weeks. The motor was knocking when I got it. I was told to take it ***************** & Auto on ************* to get it diagnosed. They told me it was my lifters on my motor. They replaced all 16 lifters on my motor in April/May. When I picked the car up it sounded perfect. I drove it and 2 days later the sound came back. It has gotten worse since then. I went back to Auto Buy Credit and I kept being told to take it to the shop to see what's going on with my car. My car has been to the shop 4 times for the same issue. I took my car back to the repair shop this morning on 8/2/23. I was told if I have to get a new engine I would have to pay half, because it's a 50/50 warranty. I purchased the car as is, but they should have not sold a car that had a bad engine. The estimate was $3,200 and I don't have $1600. I would not recommend this business.

    The customer purchased the car on March 11th, 2023. Shortly after her purchase she had some concerns about the vehicle. We directed her to take it to ****** Tire to have it checked out. ****** replaced the timing belt on the vehicle, as well as the valve cover gaskets, radiator, lifters, and an ignition coil. All of this was done at a cost of $1,242.42 and was paid for by Auto Buy Credit and no charge to the customer. Since that time ****** Tire has no record of the customer bringing the car back for any concerns. We do not know the current mileage of the vehicle nor the maintenance history since it left ****** Tire. According to the service manager at ******, the price quoted for her to have the engine replaced was done over the phone and they have not diagnosed the car themselves since the last repairs they made.Our recommendation would be to take the car to ****** Tire and have them diagnose it themselves. In the event that the vehicle does need an engine replacement she is correct that the **************** Agreement covers 50% of the cost of replacement.
