One month before graduating, after the director apparently coarse another student into screen shooting private messages about my mental health and health, I was terminated from the school under the guidelines of, "not a good fit." This is also after the second half of my student loan dropped into their bank and they had not issued me a refund based off, of the extra loan money left over after paying the school. This issue also follows after I made a complaint to the staff about some of the conditions of products in the salon, and asking where our money was going, considering the status of the building falling apart, and lack of supplies for the students.Customer response

I was confronted in front of the class and clients when my teacher unprofessionally asked, so whats your drama? Of course causing a public reaction seeing as to how she publicly chose to confront me. No physical actions or write *** were ever given. And neither were any warnings. I was wrongfully terminated for doing nothing but communicating my disabilities, then being terminated once they received illegal screenshots of my person health information. The termination of my education was unprofessional and no attempts were made to remedy and situation. This was retaliation upon the schools behalf when they wouldnt handle my issues privately I took it public. Everything I complained about were reasonable and just. I have over 15 students willing to testify to the schools behavior and having them experiencing similar situations. There are NO records in student forms complaining or recording. The teacher would yell at each other and other students in front of the whole school and clients. The unprofessionals here would be the school.Customer response

I went to the school to get my hair done. The entire time I was there the teacher kept telling me I needed product even though I repeatedly told him no..then he got angry. I had two different people working on each side of my head..totally different. Neither side was good. I also had product left at the nape of my neck causing soreness and redness. I called and was told to talk to *****. I couldn't reach her for over a week because she was sick. She said they'd redo it for free. I made an appointment, but had to change it due to my getting sick. I could have gone even with the horrible cough, but I did not want to spread it. I went there today and was told I'd have to pay.. My hair was all splotchy. They screwed up..totally on them. I got sick..out of my hands. I'd like a full refund. I will not go back there. I witnessed a student asking an older patron for a graduation gift..jewelry..unprofessional and I felt she was preying on an elderly person.Business response

It is our desire to provide the best service possible.
I have included statement from our educator and the client's history report. On November 30, we received a phone call from **** stating that she did not like her redo. We offered to fix her hair and scheduled her appointment; she did not call until after her appointment to cancel. We rescheduled several times, and they were canceled.
Signs are posted that the services are done by students, we do not offer refunds.
However, it is important to us to take care of our guests. If **** is not happy with her service, we would be more than happy to offer her a credit of $30.75 that she can use on another service.
I have included a statement from our Education Director who handled the situation, as well as some documentation.
Thank You,

I went to Academy of Hair Design **** in ***********, ** to get my hair trimmed today. I had gotten my last hair cut there and was very happy with it. Their website states "All services provided by supervised students". I got my hair cut and was very happy. There were a couple times the student requested advice from a supervisor, and that made feel safe that I would be getting a good cut. As he was finishing up I stated that it was a shame they did not do eyelash tints. Before I knew it there was a ticket for me for an eyelash lift and tint, and an eyebrow tint. I was taken to the room where they do the eyelash tints by a student. I asked her what an eyelash lift was and was told it was basically a procedure to turn the eyelash up. Didn't really feel I needed that, but I decided to try it. I told the young lady that I was not sure I wanted a brow tint because, with my fair complexion, I had to buy a hair bleach to take my brows back to blonde because it came out a dark ***** when I had it done once in the past. I said I only wanted a brow tint if they could do a light auburn. She said she could. All this time no supervisor was around or involved in the discussion of past brow tint complications. The process took much longer than when I had it done in the past and I ended up with splotchy dark and light eyebrows and blonde lower eyelashes. I complained about the eyebrows and mentioned the lower lashes and was told they could not refund money (I had not paid for the service yet), but they would take 20% off the eyebrows. Since no supervisor ever got involved in the eyebrow tint, as stated on their website and posted at the school, I feel I should have been compensated more than 20%. I purchased a hair bleach for $10 on the way home to get rid of as much of the dye as I could on my eyebrows.Business response

I have included statements from our educators and the clients history report. At time of service, we offered to redo her eyebrows or give her 20% off her service. We explained that this is a school (signs are posted that the services are done by students) and that we do not offer refunds. A policy is in place that services are signed off by an instructor. We will remind and work with our students to ensure policies are being followed and students are requesting an instructor, thank you for bringing this to our attention.
**** decided that 20% is what she wanted to do. However it is important to us to take care of our guests and if **** is not happy with her service we would be more than happy to offer her a credit of $32.50 that she can use on another service.
Thank you,
