On initial walkthrough (july 3rd) of a unit I was going to lease there were still things that were clearly left from the tentats before or the workers, The property manager, ****** ******, told me not to worry about the state of it because it had not been cleaned yet and would be before move in. on July 15th, 2024, I arrived and signed the lease and was given my key to the apartment, but told and apologized to by Ms. ****** that it was still not ready, but that it would be tomorrow (Tuesday July 16th). I bring my things down to move into the apartment on Tuesday and find that the apartment is in now way ready for someone to be living in it. I sadly, had to move my things into the bedroom anyway because they were in the back of someone else’s truck that was assisting me in my move. There was mold and rotting wood completely covering the cabinets in the kitchen, wall busted out behind the pipes under the sink, mold in the bathroom, no refrigerator, no air, missing and blown light bulbs, missing light fixtures, and trash left from the workers. I brought my concern to Ms. ****** she told me by the end of the day (on Tuesday) it would all be handled. It was not. The only thing that was done that day was the worker came and put two pieces of dry wall OVER the rotting wood and mold under the kitchen sink, instead of removing it like she told me would be done. A lot of back and forth and nothing else was done to the apartment, I was not able to stay in it nor did i feel safe to. Ms. ****** offered me a refund and i accepted that and asked her to sign a lease release form just incase, although lawyers i’ve consulted with informed me the lease was never in play since the agreeing terms were not met. I have asked for over two weeks for her supervisors information and she has still not responded with it, and will dodge the question everytime. I still haven’t a refund after i was told Monday July 22nd i would get it at 2pm that day, then told me she “couldn’t make it happen”
