On August 14, 2024, and September 16, 2024, Better Business Bureau contacted Western Montana Tactical Training Center, LLC regarding advertising claims found on its website, https://www.wmtac.com/. Specifically, BBB asked Western Montana Tactical Training Center to substantiate or modify the following claims:
- “EXCLUDING OUR BRAND of .308, most products ship within 48 business hours.”
- “Due to the high demand of this product, there may be shipping delays of 14-16 business days.”
BBB’s first basic principle of the code of advertising states that “the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.”
Despite written requests, as of September 16, 2024, Western Montana Tactical Training Center has not responded to BBB’s request for information.
