  On October 30, 2023 we were experiencing idle issues coming back from *** ,** so we had the fuel filters changed in *********** ,**. That did not solve the problem. I called Diesel Power Truck Center and dropped the truck off. The Truck never had low power issues! Only at idle there was a skip. They put the truck on the computer and said that Injector #1 was bad. 1yr previously I had a 6 pack installed. I purchased a 6 pack of injectors for them to install. Next, they say I need a new wiring harness. We finally tracked a harness down after 2 failed attempts being sent the wrong harness. After they install the harness on January 2 ***** we picked the truck up and the driver got to the stoplight in **************, ** bobtailing and the truck started idling like it was when we first took the truck to the shop. We brought the truck back and they said that injector #1 was bad again! I had a replacement injector sent to replace the bad one. That still did not rectify the issue. They said that they attempted to get into the computer to make some checks but were unsuccessful in doing so. I contacted another mechanic that *** be able to get into the *** remotely but was unsuccessful. They gave up on repairing the truck Wednesday February 28, 2024! We had paid $1800.00 in labor not including the Injectors ($1300.00)or the cost for the wiring harness ($1500.00) which did not fix the truck. On top of being charged an additional $1100 that was paid on Friday March 1, 2024. For a complete total of $2900.00 in labor that did not fix the truck! The truck will not rev over 1400 RPMs! The truck makes a screeching sound as well when it finally reaches 1400 RPMs. The truck is running worse than it was when it was first dropped off at the shop! At least before we could have taken a load. Now the truck is completely inoperable! I did call and spoke with **** & ****. I expressed my disappointment in their work and business practices. I also filed a chargeback for the $1100.00 that was paid on Friday! I am currently seeking legal counsel. They misdiagnosed my truck and forced me to pay to completely disable my truck! Not to mention that they attempted to keep my core injectors which were supposed to be in the truck so they should be shipped back. I had to call and **** found them. I sent a shipping label to them to be sent off.

  In regards to the review left by TKO.. The customer brought his ********************** to our shop complaining of a knocking sound at idle. Upon starting diagnostics on the truck, the technician determined that the unit's after-treatment system was deleted. This goes against EPA guidelines/regulations. When you delete the after-treatment system on the truck, parameters are changed in the computer and it limits our capabilities of what we are able to do. The owner was informed of that and requested us to proceed. Due to the modifications on that truck, we did our best, but were not able to follow standard troubleshooting procedure.  We replaced what the diagnostic computer was telling us to replace, with owners approval. At that time, the unit was released back to the customer. There was nothing negligent done on Diesel Powers end. We were just extremely limited to our capabilities due to modifications done by the owner. All of this was communicated with him and approved by him.
