    My husband and I rented a Cabin from Blue Ridge Mountain rentals in May of this year. For a family Christmas vacation with my children and grandchildren and my elderly parents. Full disclosure my husband and I did not read all the exact fine print of this contract, which I find deplorable as no one can get out of this contract or get their money back from this particular company and owner. We live in the state of ******* and also felt the devastation of hurricane ******, which prompted our decision to change our vacation plan to another area as we had wanted to see the beauty of ************** mountains. We canceled this contract well within our timeframe unfortunately they are refusing to give us our money back on the deposit we made. I see that they have now put the rental back on the rental page for a higher amount than what we paid for that same time. In the contract that you signed, it says you could possibly get your money back if they can re-rent your house. It does not say that they are going to increase the amount of the rental They did here. This company and this owner have made it impossible for anyone regardless of act of God or any situation get their money back on a rental. I find it incredibly sad that this business is more concerned about the Almighty dollar than the potential death or loss of family members homes, etc. all that they care about is getting their money. I would never recommend will never recommend this to anybody in fact I'm going to do my best to make sure everyone knows to read every little single thing in this contract as there is no way to get out of it unless you cancel with 24 hours, it also states that they can change your rental without even discussing it with you

    As we stated on our ******** page's response to this same defamatory review, it is important to note for everyone that no terms have been changed from your contract and we will 100% honor the terms. Additionally, the rates on our website for the dates you cancelled are an exact match to your contract created in May 2024. The home in question had only minor, cosmetic damages from ****** and it is already back open to rentals.

    In April 2023, I made reservations with a Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for fiddlestix Cabin, in yonahlossee. We departed from our home 3 1/2 hours away on the morning of October 19, 2023. We were two hours into our drive to Boone when I by chance, discovered an email from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals telling us that we did not have a house to stay in upon arrival. The email was sent on the morning of October 19 at 8:20. I had called them immediately, and was not able to hear the person who answered the phone. I called repeatedly, and was never able to understand her on her headset or speakerphone or whatever she was on. So instead of talking to me, she began emailing me. We were offered a house on Sugar Mountain a long way away from yonahlossee and in Linville. Both of these houses had twin beds or bunkbeds in the secondary bedrooms. When I voiced concern over the secondary bedrooms and the distance from yonahlossee, and how important it was for us to stay at the yonahlossee, they said they would try to find another house on The yonahlossee property. They came back with another house that we would need to pay and an additional $955. We were traveling with another couple that we had invited and told them how wonderful Our State yonahlossee was going to be. Neither couple thought that we should have to pay an additional $955. Sadly, we turned around and headed back home. We have been offered no retribution, no solutions nothing for our trouble and nothing for a place to stay other than to pull an additional thousand dollars out of our pocket. This is the poorest Customer Service I have ever experience with any type of vacation rental.

    Mrs. ********, we'd like to again apologize for the unfortunate incident yesterday with your reservation. As multiple members of our Customer Care team, including the manager, explained to you this was a freak occurrence due to construction at the property. We are sorry that you did not feel the other properties we had open in your price range would work for you. The $200 goodwill resolution check our CSM discussed with you and you agreed to accept is being mailed out next week, as well. We hope you will consider giving Blue Ridge a try again in the future, as this is far from the norm or our standard. We wish you and your husband a very happy Annniversary.

    We rented a Lodge in Eagles Nest for 14 nights at a cost of $9300 from BRMR. We quickly realized that heavy construction traffic went directly by the cabin 12+ hours per day and requested a move. They moved us to a considerably cheaper rental also in Banner Elk which was much quieter and adequate. After 7 nights the water went out and we stayed for 3 days without water and with little communication from BRMR. They then moved us to a cabin near Boone which was filthy with overflowing garbage cans and dirty dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker had been left dirty, and the hot tub had a thick ring of yellow scum around it. The rats and wildlife tore into the garbage which was all over the driveway and on the porch. We are now trying to work out a refund from BRMR and they are not willing to meet us with anything reasonable. Beware if you rent from them.
