**** Davis completed a restoration project due to water damage in our home Sept 22, 2022. USAA uses **** Davis as a preferred vendor. The floors in our entire downstairs were removed and replaced due to this water damage. 5 months after completion we noticed that our floors were buckling and there were some other small issues that needed attention. We immediately contacted **** Davis since we knew we had a 5 year warranty we didn't think it would be that big of a deal. ******, the head over our project, sent one of his worker out to take a look. He handled the small issues and even helped me with a small piece of wood that was loose on my stairs but said I would need to talk to ****** about the floors. He didn't know anything about that. I tried for 1 year to get ****** to come out to take a look at the floors (along side of ****). I called, texted and emailed. My husband tried as well. We have record of all of this. Finally USAA reached out to one of the owners. She immediately called me *** asked for a chance to be able to "make this right". A gentleman was sent to look at the flooring Feb/24. He tore the flooring up and left exposed slab concrete and missing flooring. He said they would be back to test the concrete for a leak (that never happened). 2 gentleman returned to tape down the flooring that was left so it wasn't a tripping hazard (which 6 months later is now an extreme tripping hazard)...and that was the last we've heard from **** Davis. We've had multiple flooring companies come out since then and EVERY SINGLE one of them said the floors were laid incorrectly and that there was no moisture barrier used. **** Davis tried to blame our dog bowl (which had a silicone placemat to catch moisture underneath), blamed us mopping the floor. There was mold when the gentleman came in Feb and I am scared that **** Davis ignoring us has caused more mold to spread since the slab is still sweating. We would like PD to take responsibility and honor their 5 yr warranty.

    ********,

I am very sorry that this situation occurred. We have no idea what caused the moisture from the slab which caused the locks on the flooring to break and distort. Hopefully you are happy with the ceramic tile that was installed this week as a solution to the problem. Please let me know if there is anything else that you need.

    Best Regards,

January 11th we gave a check for almost $30,000 to complete the work in our home. Initially a PDR representative **** came out to assess the damages to our home in November and guaranteed fast quality work. January 11th we signed the check and contract and was told this will take about 4-6 weeks. **** Davis started in our home January 17th and here we are April 13th and my home still hasn't been completed. We have had a boarded up front door since October and here we are 3 months later with a boarded front door. They waited 2 months before ordering a door when the front door should have been the first thing ordered. The head painter *******'s non English speaking crew painted my garage peach when it was suppose to be white and lied to his boss ****** PDR supervisor that I told him to paint it peach. ******* was never there he left people that couldn't speak English or understand English so how and why would I tell someone that when they never asked us. ******* would argue with me even when i told him a color was not the same color they started using in our bedroom. Our home had sat unfinished for a month with no activity no front door, closet doors, kitchen cabinet repair, cut deck not repaired back, master bedroom wall still unpainted and touch *** not done. I called the ****** multiple times concerning our doors and storm door. I also called the company asked for somebody higher up on April 7th and never got a call from the company. The supervisor called me the 11th with a bunch of I'm sorry and after explaining how we feel embarrassed stressed out and ***et about living like this for this long he finally got the workers to my home today the 13th only to still be without a front door and nothing done but Replacing closet and room door. We were also charged for things that wasn't done. Items of mine were destroyed and damaged i was told it will be replaced and 2 months later I ended up replacing the items. This is ***etting and there will be no referrals

The work is 99% complete. I'm very sorry about what happened to your home with the shooting incident. The front door selection is hard to get with supply chain issues and lead times can be frustrating. In addition, the insurance estimate allowed for $988 for the front door Labor and Materials which near impossible to do. One of the doors you selected had cost over $6000 and we have already purchased one of your top 3 choices that was closer to the budgeted amount, but the insurance company will have to be supplemented for that item. In addition, there is electrical work that had to be done because a bullet grazed some wiring. Additional painting needed in the bathroom upstairs and the damaged kitchen cabinet that was found after the initial inspection and estimate. Additional work to repair the walls where chair rail was removed by another party in the upstairs loft area involving further texture repairs and repainting. Additional painting and drywall tape joint repairs to ceiling of master bedroom. We had to remove rotten boards on your back deck to put the siding back in place, because the siding went under the deck boards of your home preventing proper replacement. Additional rotten sheathing replacement behind the siding as well as reflashing all windows in the areas where siding was replaced.  Additional interior door replacements that have been performed. The amount of contents in your home that was blocking areas that had to be painted took an inordinate amount of time. We have placed the order for the door and will supplement to insurance company for extra work that was done. We can refund the money for any work that was not performed after the final supplement is approved we can inform you of any applicable refund amount less your deductible. Will be happy to discuss further when that is available.

**** Davis Restoration replaced laminate flooring in my home. This flooring is making a crackling noise when walking on it. *********************** came to look at it. He said it was due to humidity and the padding. I asked him to contact the manufacturer. I have called him several times with no response. I called again requesting copies of the invoices for the flooring and padding. I was told they would be sent to me. I have not received them. I have no basis to contact the manufacturer. Since I have not received copies of the invoices, I feel that no padding was placed under the flooring as required by the manufacturer. Flooring should not make a noise when walking on it!

    *****************,

I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I have been out due to minor health issues. Per our phone call I have the flooring installer coming to your home to review the issue. I hope to be onsite this next week. We will call you once we have a date and time is confirmed.
