      This is an unethical and deceptive business that charges fraudulent statements to unexpecting customers of other ************************** providers. Make sure your healthcare provider is not in any way associated with Carolina Digestive Health Associates

      While I acknowledge your statement, I must express that I have not received any meaningful resolution to my concerns. Over the course of several attempts to contact your office, I have been repeatedly informed that no one can assist me with the issue of the charge I believe to be fraudulent. Despite these efforts, I was not provided with the necessary support.On 07/17/2024, I sent a formal letter both via email and by mail to the contact address I was able to locate. Unfortunately, I have not received any response to this communication, nor have my previous inquiries been addressed.Given the circumstances, it appears that my attempts to resolve this matter have been avoided, and I have now been handed over to a debt collection agency. This situation is of great concern, and I am seeking immediate clarification and resolution.If you are in a position of authority to address this issue, I kindly request your direct contact information so that we may work together to resolve this matter promptly. I trust that your office will take the necessary steps to review this situation thoroughly and ensure that all charges are in accordance with both legal and professional standards.

      Do not, I repeat do not use Carolina Digestive for anything, especially ********************* and his assistant.This man should not be anywhere near patients. He has the bedside manner of a ****, and his staff in the procedure room had to repeatedly remind him of maintenance medication that keeps me from having DVT's, and other items. I requested compression pants for my legs due to previous DVT's and was denied.****** performed an *** on me, only to tell me I had some rare disease, gave me a prescription that required monitoring and then tried to pass me off to another Gastroenterologist, when I questioned his diagnosis. The morning after the procedure I had a sore throat and pain.Because of the horrors of having to call the office over and over with no response, or a nasty receptionist, I chose to drive to ******** office and wait to talk to him. Two hours later I was given an opportunity to talk to ****** over the phone, not in person, never in person.I explained I was having pain and swelling and wanted to talk about the medication, telling me it has nothing to do with the **** ****** wanted to do was pass me off to yet another doctor, an ENT this time. I told him that was unacceptable, we said ****** and I reported him to the ****************. Just a few days later, I too was given the "Termination Letter" others have experienced, that I was no longer welcome at the 'Practice'.Fast forward to two weeks after Fowlers procedure, where I am in the *** Questions were raised about the *** and Fowlers diagnosis, therefore a ** Scan was performed. The ** scan showed what ****** missed, what he should have seen in the ***, what the real reason for my illness is.It is NOT what ****** diagnosed me with. Had I not questioned his diagnosis and refused to take his medication, I surely would have died at this man's hands.I see many others have had very similar issues with ****** and Carolina Digestive.Carolina Digestive: save your canned answer for court.

      First appointment Male Dr did not have a female in the office as he proceeded to perform a rectal exam. I was asked if I have had a recent colonoscopy and he recommended I should. I made the appointment for this procedure, which is NOT in his building but is in the building for Horizon eye center in the same parking lot. I did the usual bowel prep solution as instructed and went for my early morning appointment. There were at least 25 people waiting in the waiting room at this Horizon eye center. I needed to use the restroom due to the prep solution and was told there was not one in the waiting area, the front office girl "buzzed" me into a large door which led into the patients recovery area, a large room where this bathroom is clearly for them to use. I could see at least 10 beds with patients in a row with people coming out of sedation, trying to stand up and get dressed and some with bare skin in the private areas. I did not want to see this but had no choice due to the position of the only restroom. I felt very uneasy and bad for these patients. I left the same way I came in, back to the waiting area. My friend "driver" since they sedate you was mortified as when I opened the door she and all the people in the waiting room could also see the patients in their glory. No privacy. They walked an elderly gentleman, at least ******************************************************** the waiting area wearing 2 diapers OVER his pants. He was still sedated. No wheelchair, no dignity. At this point I decided to leave without my procedure. The front desk girl told a nurse who followed me into the parking lot to the car and tried to convince me to go back in. No way.

      *********, ******, and most of all ****** were horrible. ****** called me the day of the appointment and lied saying my insurance would not cover my colonoscopy. A preventative procedure that my PCP, who is ************** referred me for because of issues I'm having with my side. I am 49 and this is recommended for **** years and older. ****** was rude when she called back and after she said my insurance changed over the new year and no longer covered my procedure. she was accusatory of me for not checking it. Then she hung up. I called and canceled the appointment because of their unprofessionalism. I had 2 insurances Cigna and UMR . ***** told me they cover colonoscopy 100% on 1/3/23. I felt they lied because they were trying to get my money through some type of fraud. I think they should be investigated for fraud. ****** told me she could set me up with self pay. This appointment was scheduled on 10/11/2023 , which was 3 months prior. They decided to call me on the day of my appointment instead of the prior business day and disrupt my appointment. They were cold and thoughtless. They were inconsiderate of my well-being and were only concerned with scamming me out of my money. They should be fired, sued. and locked up for fraud. I left a message for the *** *************** but did not receive a call back. I left a message for two supervisors. ****** and ********* with no call back. I give all glory and praise to God for protecting me from this company. I would never recommend them. This is truly an embarrassing and humiliating experience. Thank you *****************************

      It is unfortunate that it was found out from your insurance, the only one provided to us, in January of this year that your procedure is not covered under your plan.  Our office staff informed you as soon as it was discovered.  Please note that on your insurance plan site it clearly states that colonoscopy is not a covered  service.  Our staff felt threatened and mistreated after speaking with you.  We empathize with your situation and hope that you are able to get your procedure done at a facility that is covered by your insurance plan.

      I was scheduled for a colonoscopy on 07/01/2022 at 1pm when I got to Novant Health in ******** for my procedure they told me that Carolina digestive health Associates ** did not contact them to set up the appointment I was sent to these people by the VA I will never accept their recommendation again
