There's a serious issue with the business practices of Novant Pharmacy. They're under the impression that they can charge customers debit/credit cards before getting authorization to do so or even knowing if the patient requires any refills. They are relying on information from your initial order to assume that you require refills then have the audacity to charge your cards prior to calling and receiving authorization. I had an employee actually tell me that they're sending me medication I didn't need or request before even asking me if (1) I needed a refill or (2) request authorization to take payment. I never signed up for "auto fill" but yet they had me signed up and kept my card on file in their system without my knowledge. They're committing theft by charging customers prior to being authorized to do so regardless to if that patient is on "auto fill" or not!!! Just because I use their services doesn't equate to being bullied into purchasing medication that isn't needed at the time.Review from Dee Dee R

The Novant Health Ballantyne ER is the worst hospital ever. My husband went a couple of days ago. *************************** was the treating doctor. He got a chest xrays and got Dx with bronchitis and gave him some medication. His PCP called him to ask how he was feeling because they received his results. My husband informed them he was at work. They told him, he wasn't suppose to be at work because he had pneumonia. Now how in the h*** did they see this and he didn't. DO NOT GO TO THIS ER!!!! Just because it's in Ballantyne doesn't make it right. They need to be sued on this but I'll let God handle it.Review from Mirecka B

This is a horrible place to go to. I had insurance and they did not Bill my insurance but took over $200 out of my account. I was told they just needed my card on file but they will Bill my insurance. They lied! They took the money out on the 1st of the month knowing that people have to pay their rent I did not receive a phone call email or text that this was being done, in the visit was in February and here we are now in May. When I called in they were very nonchalant and told me there was nothing that they could do.I was also told that it was a deductible from my insurance so I sent over proof that I do not have to even pay a deductible with my insurance and still nothing was done. They still could not even find out what my issue was and I ended up going to atrium health.Best place in the world not only did they find out the issue but they built my insurance company as I asked them to and there was no deductible as an navant stated there it was.No wonder they're not growing and they're at a snail's place atrium is the place to be.I would not even give them a one star this place is horrible. Everyone tried to tell me not to go to them but I was trying to give them a chance and they were close to my home biggest mistake of my life. I'm just glad it wasn't anything really serious or they would have just let me go and killed me cuz they could not even find out anything or tell me anything.Due to all of this now I am headed to court.Review from AH

November 30th, 2023,My11-year-old daughterfeelingdizziness and nauseous.I took her to Novant Health Medical Center located at ********************************************************************************* daughterwasLeslie *****************************.He administered anelectrocardiogram examonmy daughter. After the test was completedhestated thatmy daughtersheartwas fine, and then he approached me where I was sitting in the examination room, saying "sometime people have irregular heartbeat . "At the same time, hesuddenlyand unexplainablyplacedhis hand onmy right breast andpressed down.I was shocked andhorrifiedthat he would make such an obvious sexual physical action. After I was sexually harassed by **************** *****************************, I called Novant times andexplained my horrendous experience, Eventually months later,I received a phone call from Novant **************** ***********************. After asking me many questions about our experiences with **************** *****************************, she gave me a promise to waive my daughters emergency room medical bill and give memonetarycompensationdue toseverity of my situation. She asked me to figure outhowamountI wanted andcalled her back. However, a few days ago,Ireceived a letter from ***********************,with the justification that the Doctor touching my breast was simply toassist with the description of the patients ( My Daughter)condition this is clearly to cover the truth thatI was abused andsexually harassed by ******************* and denied what she had promised to me.The facts are:1.I was not the patient, there was absolutely no medical reasonfor ******************** totouch me in a sexual nature.2.My Daughter had no heart issue which is documented in her medicalrecords, so what possible motive would a Doctor have to further describe my daughters examination by touching my breast?! Thereclearly is no medical reason forDr.********** egregious actions. There is only one reasonable conclusion, sexual harassment.Review from Geraldo C

The Novant Health in ************, ** had collected my insurance card (AETNA) and made notes about it and returned it to me. Following the process, I had 2 cataracts surgery. At the end, the hospital was not part of the in network hospitals from my Aetna plan, but the hospital did not say anything and later charged me with 9K for outpatient surgery that took less than an hour. The anesthesiology is part of the plan, but not the hospital. While I could do the surgery for free on ****** hospital, the Novant Health did not move a ***** to tell me my insurance was not part of the plan. That seems so unneeded, unethical and not professional. It looks like a type of "stealing" under the law. They could do much better and they have good doctors there. Hope they wake up one day....Review from Marla A

Caution! Their doctors are listed as Specialists, but are NOT knowledgeable. I was sent to a sleep specialist (****************) for my Narcolepsy, who informed me he knew nothing about it and refused to provide continued treatment. NC Medical Board states he cant claim to be a sleep specialist and NOT know how to treat Narcolepsy. Novant says they wont discuss why they list him as a sleep medicine specialist. When my extended release medication (8 hours) was unavailable, he rewrote a script for the 4 hour tablets cutting my dosage by more than half! I cannot stay awake without my meds, so this prevented me from being able to function. My family doctor was told to take over my care, and she corrected the prescription. How is it legal for Novant to say a Dr. is a sleep specialist, when he doesnt know anything about treating Narcolepsy? His lack of knowledge pushed back an appointment I could have had with a doctor that could continue to provide my needed meds. Reading his notes in my chart, there is more evidence of his lack of knowledge regarding how to prescribe for Narcolepsy. He states I have insomnia.except insomnia and narcolepsy are definitively different. If a Narcoleptic takes medicine thats for Insomnia, it makes our Narcolepsy worse. Of course there isnt anyone responsible that I can talk to. Trying to find corporate phone numbers and emails is impossible. Patient resolution was argumentative. Record your visits so you have documentation of everything they say. Take someone with you. None of this can be legal, but Im not wealthy enough to file a lawsuit!Review from Theresa H.

I have enormousely ask Novant Health, Inc. to stop emailing me as I am not the person they are emailing. I have told them that if they continue to send me emails I was going to report them, so I am. I have NEVER been to his hospital. I think the other person with my email should change their email.Review from Lawrence E
