Hi, so Im trying to go through the home buying process for a manufactured loan and was stated to do an application with this company. So I noticed after a few days that I didnt get a response from the company and I reached out the manufacturing company to see if I could get an update on my loan and they stated that Cardinal should have reached out. So I took it upon myself to reach out today and I must say the *** I spoke with named ******* *** (NMLS *******) had horrible customer service. I also realized that he never reached out to me was because I didnt qualify and made it seem like I was pretty much a waste of his time. I feel as if, even though I may not have been ready for the loan but you would think that hed at least help and show me what I need to work on. I wouldnt recommend anyone to do business with him.

Im a 100% disabled veteran who just purchased a home in December using my VA loan in conjunction with Cardinal. From the start I should have avoided this company. From the loan officer all the way to the taxing and escrow department is nothing less then ineptitude and complete disregard for my family and myself. I live in a state where I am fully tax exempt when it comes to property tax due to my status. *** submitted my exemption from my local taxing authority to Cardinal. Cardinal has spoken with my local taxing authority directly. Cardinal is aware I am exempt. However, Cardinal has applied a dollar amount to my mortgage in relation to a special assessment tax. That special assessment tax according to my local taxing authority ran a $.44 charge for all of last year. Cardinal is charging me $271 a month for this special assessment tax. Ive spoken to the taxing department a minimum of 6 times over the the last three months. Ive submitted my notice of tax assessment on top of the exemption to their online portal and literally had a conference call with my local taxing authority and a Cardinal tax department representative and yet they still have not adjusted this tax related assessment. I was foolish to believe a family friend of mine who works for this company would steer me on the right direction. They simply took advantage of a situation in order to line their own pockets. Do not use this company. Im already on my next steps consulting with an attorney over this matter.

Cardinal Financial Company is a fraud. Do not give them your information. I tried to get a loan from them. I told them that I'm about 80% done building my house and need another 300K to finish. I filled out their forms with all my PII (social security number, birth day, and so on). A few weeks later I sent an e-mail to ******* *********, Corporate Referral Loan Originator | NMLS ******* and asked the status of my loan. He told me that they don't give loans on homes that have started, it's a liability issue. When pressed, he could not tel me what the liability is. He would give me a loan for 300k if the build hadn't started yet. I asked then why was I forced (if I wanted the loan I had to fill out the form) to fill out the form if you knew that you would not give me the loan. He said that I didn't know at the time that he couldn't give a loan on a started home. CFC IS A FRAUDULENT company.

I will never use Cardinal Financial again. I requested a lost mitigation application as I had to take a LOA from work due to a medical condition and needing surgery and had pending *** with no income. The same date my loan application letter is dated is the same date of the letter I received that my loan was transferred. Making it nearly impossible now to get a straight answer on any information. I contacted Cardinal prior to the transfer date as was advised all documents related to the loss mit request would be transferred and I should not need to complete anything else on my end. My loan transferred September 4th, I have called again for the 5th time today since my loan was transferred to be told they have not received all documentation from the previous lender to move forward with my application pushing out the underwriter's deadline for approval. Of course, when I call the previous lender, they act like it all sent over, just pointing fingers instead of assisting.I also sent an email with an attached form to be completed for assistance with a one-time partial payment and was advised a case owner would be assigned to assist 4 business days ago. On the second business day I sent an email asking for POC information as I had not yet heard from anyone and sent an additional follow up email today (business day 3). I have called twice, and no one sees a form or anyone assigned to this. This form would take 2 minutes to complete. I find it ironic that the loss mitigation application notification and date of loan transfer are the same exact date. No one can provide any information or complete a 2-minute form, to assist with a one-time partial mortgage payment. Seems like trying to make it so I have to foreclose on my home to make money rather than provide short term assistance. Greed

This company is an absolute travesty of a company. Every.single.time. you call in and ask the same question, you are told a completely different thing. It is not until you get three supervisors in that you get anything to happen. I was given THREE different processes to change my billing from once a month to every two weeks. Because of that, I had to pay two mortgages for three months in a row to get them to "figure out" how to do it. Each month, I would call in, they would give me the "correct" process, I would give them the required money, and then it still wouldn't work. Now, since they are transferring me to a new mortgage company, they told me last week that they would NOT be taking out any more payments and the next payment would come from the new company. They recommended, that because of that, I move my payment from my checking to my savings so that I could make one big payment to the next company to stay up-to-date. Call me surprised when I got a notification that I went into overdraft, because they they DID take out another payment. When I called, they said that they didn't do that, despite what my bank account shows. I don't know why it is so difficult to have one answer (and it be correct) at this company, but it is clearly a struggle for them. They need major help.

The absolute worst mortgage company ever. 70 + days to close out 2 separate loans. They have cancelled closing 3 times already with no communication to us. They have gotten snippy at times and a receptionist hung up on my title company when they were trying to find out if we were closing after the 3 cancellation. Still havent closed. They have messed up paperwork, they have not even given me a final mortgage amount or down payment amount. They should be ashamed of themselves for what they have put my family through.

This company looks good online but my loan officer couldn't help but insert her very non-professional opinion on my situation. This was my 2nd home purchase, so I had some idea what I was doing though maybe not a very conventional situation. She was incredibly rude and even had the audacity to suggest I consider making a "vision board" to decide if this is something I really wanted to do. Yes, I'm serious... I was speechless. I should've dropped them then and there but was already so close to obtaining the property in the timeframe I had planned that I proceeded. I should have reported her immediately, but was actually worried for any recourse, who knows. I had enough going on with the move. I was so relieved to have a big box lender buy up my mortgage only months later, so I wouldn't have to see her name ever again. I'm not supposed to put any identifying information, otherwise, I would. This might be a decent company but she is a very bad egg. Word to the wise...
