I have been a customer of ASP for about six months in which they come weekly to maintain my chemicals and clean the pool . About a month ago I started to notice a black scum line on the water surface and reached out to the company via telephone in response. They said they would address it on the next visit. It wasnt addressed on the next visit so I can reach out to the company and contact spoke to a lady. She said she would make a note in the file to be addressed on the next service day. The issue was still not addressed. I left a Third message on their business telephone to which no response was given. So now four weeks have passed, and the skum line has progressively gotten worse.I had to meet the maintenance guy out to the pool to point out my concerns to which he replied it would be an easy fix. I just need to brush it. I left assuming it would be taken care of that day. It was stated in the pool summary report he would have to come back with a ragI emailed the company immediately letting them know I was unsatisfied with the untimely response to address the issue. The owner replied that this was an issue that isnt covered under regular maintenance. It would be an additional three to $500 to remove the skum line . So after searching how to prevent skum lines almost every article stated that they can be prevented with regular maintenance and brushing. In extreme cases, extra chemicals would need to be used to remove it. I feel had the issue been addressed at the beginning of July when I mentioned it, it would have been an easy fix however, due to the poor job performance the skum line has built up to the point where it does now need extra chemicals, ASP refused to admit any fault on their part. So therefore, I have canceled my membership.
