5 starsSwitching to Cedar Management Group last year was one of the best decisions our community has made. ******** ********, the head of our management team, has been nothing short of fantastic. She tackled a set of books that were disorganized and missing crucial information, hunting down the necessary details and getting everything in order within just three monthsa remarkable achievement. Beyond her expertise, ******** is always available to answer questions, and she does so with a smile that makes every interaction a pleasure. She stays on top of our contracts and their renewal, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Cedar Management Group itself has excellent contractors, carefully vetted to ensure we get outstanding service and maximum value. Michelles dedication has made being on the board both easier and more efficient, and her contributions have had an incredible positive impact on our community. We couldnt be more grateful for her efforts!Review fromEdward M

It's basically inconceivable that Cedar Management Group will not respond to calls from anyone working on the sale of a property under their administration. As the sellers of a unit on ************* in *************** we have spent seven weeks trying to get the proper documents for closing. This is the worst possible experience anyone could ever have. I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from Cedar Management Group.Cedar Management Group

Cedar Management is the absolute worst. I received notice of my *** **** that are due on 01/01/2024 of almost ****** with a payment of $21,262.15 if paid after 1/30/2024. The amount (******) for 2025 is a little less than what I originally was told it would be for 2025 so therefor I am left assuming the amount that's listed on the statement is incorrect and if the actual amount isn't paid then it allows them to place a lien on my home. When you call them, they have no knowledge of anything that you're explaining. At this point I am tired of speaking, I advised an agent today I'd rather my attorney review my account just to ensure me that I am on the correct path with a payment that is due ONCE a year that has been lost before that magically appeared once I was charged 18% , interest, legal fees and more for a payment that they had from the start that they claimed I never paid. It showed up on a statement as a credit, no apology, no revaluation, no explanation, no nothing. Not sure who the *** HO, or CEO is but I could not set back and allow this many Homeowners to have so many issues and then the audacity to respond to a BBB complaint leading with "Please be advised" .... sickeningCedar Management Group

******,Cedar Management Group (Cedar) is a vendor that works on behalf of and for ************ (the Association) and has no decision making authority when it comes to the assessment of any fines or fees to any homeowner ledger. Per our records, a statement sent out on 11/26/24 had the incorrect dues information. A corrected statement was immediately sent out to all homeowners along with an attachment advising of the correction and original ********* called our office on 12/30/24 and spoke with a phone agent who confirmed the corrected dues amount along with the late fee policy for the Association, which is outlined in the governing documents. Your homeowner ledger reflects all payments received to date and is available in detail on your homeowner portal.Review fromLashaun J

Cedar Management has poor customer service and lacks honesty and integrity. I have had nothing but issue after issue with them. Recently posted my *** **** to another account for a different ************** They would not take proof of the transaction from my bank. ******* recalled the payment as an unauthorized payment because the agent that took my payment by phone applied it to an account that did not belong to me. After the payment was recalled then they notified me that my payment was returned. If you don't have record of me making a payment how can you trace the self initiated return back to me. I received NO explanation as to what happened with my payment but a return payment fee and still late charges on my account. No one on the ********* will discuss the matter with me. I wholeheartedly believe it is a cover up for misappropriation of money within the company. They had no documentation of me calling in speaking with a live agent who did the payment transaction. They refused to pull the call log from October 10th 2024.Cedar Management Group

*******,Please be advised that you are a member of both the Master and *************** for ****************** and therefore have two different accounts that are both assessed and payments collected for.Your call regarding payment on 10/10/24 with a member of our Support Staff was applied to the Sub account for ****************** TH. The payment was moved to your Master Account per your request and then this payment was then cancelled on your banks side causing a returned item fee which has been waived as a courtesy along with the late fees and interest.Review fromCecilia C

Ive been having a roof issues since I purchased the property 2018 I believe and the slum company closes my tickets without checking the issue saying its my responsibility. They lie and say theyre sending someone over and never do just close your ticket. They send people to your home that do not speak English on purpose so you cant remedy the issue and close your ticket without telling you the issue or what they fix. The office people are liars and I believe racist and sexist because if I was a white man I wouldnt be going through this. I consistently asked for a higher up and Ive been patient and kind. Im no longer any of those things anymore. I had 2 contractors come over for an estimate that I paid for and the company kept saying theyre not responsible. I lost 30 lbs I got so sick from the mold and I was still patient begging to understand where is the water coming from. I finally took a picture of the picture from the contractor and sent to a friend thats the only way I found out the problem before I almost died I could barely talk. Do not let them manage your property.Cedar Management Group

*******,Please be advised that Precision Contracting was sent out twice for the roof leak, and both times work was completed and invoiced. This was communicated to you via your homeowner portal. The roof was repaired in July and when a subsequent leak was reported by you the vendor determined the leak to be coming from the water heater plumbing which is homeowner ****************** submitted a separate ticket for a window leak, which a vendor determined to be the flashing which is homeowner responsibility. Any further communication regarding service requests will be communicated to you via your homeowner portal.Due to the frequent profanity and slander all further communication from you will need to be in writing and visits to our ********* headquarters are henceforth prohibited.Review fromIRELIS G

Cedar Management Group they are trying to collect $3,100 in fines for having a bit of dirt on exterior of my home and "faded paint on shutter", which they were fine. I never received a single notify by mail until fee days before the violation time started. I was charge a $100.00 a day. Just insane. I have been leaving in that neighborhood for more that 11 years and I never experience this type of insanity. We are hard working people, low medium class we don't have $3,100.00 to just give to a HOA.Cedar Management Group

Irelia,Please be advised that Cedar Management Group (Cedar) is a vendor that works on behalf of and for ********* (the Association) and has no decision making authority when it comes to the sending of any violation letters or the assessment of any fines or fees to your homeowner ledger. There were multiple notices sent via mail and via email from the Association regarding the violations found to be present at your property. A hearing was held and a portion of the assessed fines were removed as a courtesy from the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors has denied your additional fine waiver requests and any further communication regarding this matter should be directed to your Board via your homeowner portal.Review fromJames J

They Harass you by sending out false violation notices to you. Ex: tuesday is trash day so my pail is pot out overnight, i'm a 1st responder work 6a-6p. That tuesday i got home at 8:30 pm, 4 days later a violation letter comes in mail stating inproper storage of trash container. I can go on and on about false violations to my neighbors but my hand is tired from typing this. We live in *********************** **********************Cedar Management Group

I have been in my neighborhood for 23 years. I think HOA may have been a good idea and one point, having a shared pool and play area, etc. People share the cost but now they are out of hand. Below is the BBB on my neighborhood management company. one star. I was late on my bill and they sent it to a law firm for collection. ( *********** and Love PLLC) I called them 2 times to pay but no answer and no call back. When I finally received a called back it was outside the 15 day limit which caused legal fees to be applied. The fees on $127 bill were $450. I contacted a lawyer he basically said its cheaper to just pay. I tried to speak with someone at the law firm about the non returned calls made and they basically wouldn't let me finish a sentence. Below is my management company. One star on BBB.so very frustrating. what a rip off.Cedar Management Group

*******,Please be advised that Cedar Management Group is a vendor that works for and on behalf of your Association, **********, and has no decision making authority when it comes to creating or enforcing an Associations collections policy. The collections policy for your Association is outlined in the governing documents, which are legally binding, available on your homeowner portal. The April ********** of $140.00 was due in full by 04/30/24. Since the payment was not received in full by the deadline the collections policy was followed and a 15 Day Demand Letter was sent on 5/17/24 in addition to prior past due statements sent via mail and email.Weve reviewed our phone records and found the calls from 6/17, 7/18, 7/24, and 8/01 but have no record of any calls before those dates after the 15 Day Demand Letter was sent. The Demand Letter also details how to make a payment in multiple ways including credit/debit card, echeck, bill payment, in person, or physical check. Since the outstanding balance was not paid in full within the 15 day deadline your account was sent to the Attorney and all legal fees stand.Review fromTammy C

This management group visits community once a month they assured me and do nothing to impose fines or implement rules for community covenants. They have LANDMARK landscaping for our community and what you can surely count on is for them to blow mowed grass and debris back up to the front of your house and garage.for debris blown back up to door and garage- this includes what was on the street. When sent concerns about, and proof with video of this happening, was told they dont do that by ******** manager over our community. Both businesses HORRIBLE. Had to end up changing only checking account number Ive ever had and deal with 6 months of nonsense and documentation with Cedar Managemebt who stated they didnt sign for a check written to them. This check was written to compensate for an increase in dues we were never informed about until a community meeting. Since I pay 6 months at a time, had to write additional check. The check for my original 6 months went through. I wrote the second check less than a week later, sent to same address and Cedar kept telling me only through emails they never received. Even after filing a check fraud claim at bank, took them over 2 months to go in and sign that they never received. They will never call you back again everything is communicated by email and comes weeks after concern posted on portal. When talked to landscaper about concerns and had sent concerns via portal- LANDMARK manager told me that Cedar told him to ignore me. My concerns were over a diseased tree reported last year and the fact they blow debris up to doors and garages. Had to buy a sign for them to stop cutting grass decided to do myself since same LANDMARK manager told me to do since they could only weedeat my yard which was always uneven. avoid the clean up after they visit. When did myself, they still blew debris from other yards up to my sore and garage. Provided pictures of to prove 4 weeks later no response.Cedar Management Group

****,Please be advised that Cedar Management Group is a vendor that works on behalf of your Association and has no decision making authority when it comes to hiring vendors or assessing/removing fines or fees on your account. The ***** of ********* is wholly responsible for enforcing the governing documents and hiring vendors for the Community. Regarding the $60.00 check Cedar had requested depositing information as we did not have a record of receiving your payment, which you refused to provide so we were unable to assist you further with that request. The ***** then approved a $60.00 credit as a courtesy. Per the governing documents, all owners in the Association were provided documentation regarding the dues increase. The ***** has been in contact with you directly regarding how to communicate concerns properly to the ***** and advising of updates regarding the landscaper. All future communications will need to be relayed directly to your ***** via your homeowner portal as Cedar is unable to approve of any changes in vendors for the Association.
