Paid $6000 because our well was 800+ feet that requires stronger equipment. Turns out our well wasnt that deep, but no discount was offered. I requested that the job surely shaved off a chunk and they thought it was merely a model number change. Little explanation as to why the price was relatively the same, but a long explanation as to why they wanted to charge so much up front. Then repeated float failure after sealant job and I still can't get the dispatch to take my complaint seriously. The tech demanding payment with profanity from my wife, and still they cant stand by their work and install a float valve that does its intended job. Lies and deniability from ******* and team every time you talk to them. After repeated issues, she dares say my frustration is a hinderence on their third attempt to complete the one job. NEVER use action well and pump from climax. They will take your money AND you get them out every couple months to repair.

****** we are sorry you feel this way but let's set some things straight! You called my company because you didn't have water and for some odd reason your normal well contractor wouldn't come out there. I see why now! The original estimate for the repair was $6000.00. The job was $5400 I can post the invoice if I need too. If we do the math that is a $600 difference. You got 2 pumps installed one in your holding tank and one in your well. Not many well contractors know how to work on this system so my experience with your system was key that day and in the future. My service tech gave the price of the job before they even started. You were fine with it. The pump that we put in your well was 1hp and the one in your tank was a 3/4hp. The cost difference in the 2 pumps is $300.00. The original pump we were going to put in your well was a 1.5hp which would have been $400 more than the 1hp. So when my service techs discovered your well wasn't as deep and the pump wasn't as large as you had told them (your pump wouldn't have hung at 800ft anyway) they put in the smaller pump which was the 1hp pump. Once my service techs discovered you could use a smaller pump before they put the 2 pumps in they came to you and gave you the new cheaper price. You were fine with it so they proceeded to do the job. When they got done with the job they had advised you once again they were able to use a smaller size pump because the well wasn't as deep saving you around $400 dollars. You became very upset for some odd reason lots of people would be happy to have saved $400. You wanted to know why it wasn't more of a savings. My service tech called the owner and he explained to you there is not a huge price difference in between a 1.5hp and 1hp. I guess you were thinking you were going to save thousands by getting a smaller pump. You then proceeded to get belligerent with the owner and my service techs and then you proceeded to tell my service techs to get the F**K off of your property. I have been in business for over 25 years I am at 25 to 30 houses a week I have NEVER EVER had any of my customers tell my service techs to get the F**K off their property nor have I ever had any customers cuss at my techs. I have people that call me weekly to tell me how sweet my guys are and what an excellent job they have done. Once again I can see why your old well contractor wouldn't come back. Your holding tank is a specially designed system and the float will need to be adjusted from time to time. So when you called back the following week to say your tank was leaking your first words to me were are you going to stand by your work (already starting off confrontational) I said yes and I sent one of my service techs over there to adjust it that day. When you and I were speaking because you had cussed my techs out I had advised you not to be outside with them to avoid further issues but of course you stood out there with him the whole time. 2 months have went by and your tank is leaking again (float needs to be adjusted) so you call and right off the bat you start telling me how my service techs don't know how to do their jobs. I will not tolerate how you speak to me or my service techs. As I was trying to avoid confrontation with you I kept asking you for your name and your address so I could get you on the schedule. You just kept yelling and then said you would find someone else to adjust the float. Then you proceeded to hang up on me. Your wife then called back and I told her like I told you I don't have an issue coming out to adjust the float but what I am not going to tolerate is your rudeness. You are so belligerent that my service techs do not want to come to your house and that speaks volumes. We very nicely that day tried to explain to you the price difference and how you were saving money but because in your mind you weren't savings thousands you had an issue with that. I've never had anyone complain to us about saving money. I could have put in the 1.5hp pump even though you didn't need it and the original quote given would have been the price. But we did the right thing because we try to ALWAYS do right by our customers and put you in the correct pump size that was appropriate for your well. Your bad review on the BBB is unwarranted, no one from my office lies nor do we have a problem with deniability. We have offered you great customer service when we really shouldn't have due to the fact of how belligerent you have been to our staff. I have serviced over ****** homes in 25years I have a less than 1% bad review rate I would adventure to say my staff is not the issue here.

We called them because they had done work on the well for previous owners. We had no water pressure and wanted them to turn up yhe pressure. They came out and we discussed purchasing a stronger well pump. We were then told an alternative would be a water softner system. We specifically asked 5 or 6 times if that would fix the pressure issue, which is why we called then in the first place. They reassured us it would and that it would also make the water cleaner and protect the pipes. They installed a 4000 dollar system and within am hour of leaving we had to call them because we had no pressure. The next day on the phone the iwner argued with me that a softner doesn't do anything for water pressure. He tricked us into buying a 4000 dollar system, that doesn't even deal with the problem we had. Again, he literally sat here telling us for over an hour how his system would increase the pressure. It was a bold faced lie. We had a plumber come out and in 15 minutes he found several issues, fixed them and now our water pressure is great. Action well didn't diagnose the problems, didn't do a single thing to adress the reason we called them in the first place and proceeded to talk us into buying something they knew would not fix the issue. We then tried to be reasonable and work out an arrangement, less than 25 hours after install, the unit be removed and refunded as we were mislead about it's function. He then started backpeddling on everything he told us, got nasty and had his secretary call us and threaten to take us to court. Long story short, they talked us into buying something that had nothing to do with why we called them um the first place. He absolutely lied to our faces repeatedly and when we said, you need to remove this unit, he said no he isnt doing it. I told him i would be willing to work with him, he said no. I told him i would reverse the charges on the credit card and he laughed and said ive been doing this for 30+ years, trust me it won't happen and hungup

      Action Well & Pump Response

      07/28/2022

First off let me state I've been in business for 22years and this is the second complaint I've ever had. We take our customer service and reviews very seriously. The complaint is so full of lies I'm going to address this complaint fully. The customer called my office on a Monday complaining about low water pressure. At that time the customer told us he had recently purchased the house and that we had done all of the well work for the previous owner. I (Heather) asked him a few questions about his pump and tank and he thought they really weren't that old. So my first question to him was did you change the filter? His response was yes I changed the filter. He then told me that his pressure was so low that he couldn't wash conditioner out of his hair. I advised that I would have my well techs out there on Tuesday. On Tuesday 3 of my well techs (Mitch, Matthew and Seth) went to the home. One of the techs was the owner(Mitch)! The customer both husband and wife took Mitch to the bathroom shower to show him how the pressure was so low. The customer turned the spigot on to the shower and the water just dribbled out. It is standard practice for our well techs to check the pressure in the pressurized bladder tank and to check the amps on the well pump. Both tank and pump were building up pressure. Then it is standard practice for us to check the sediment cartridge filter. The filter the customer had was clogging up with iron and minerals which was making his water pressure extremely low. This is a very common problem. When this problem occurs depending on iron, mineral and hardness levels you can put in a water softener or an iron filtration unit. At this point we tested the water with a computerized lab test just to confirm our visual findings. It confirmed water softener was needed and what level to set at. After Mitch determined the cartridge filter was the issue he had the other well tech (Matthew) take the filter out. While standing in the bathroom Mitch and the customers turn back on the spigot to the shower the pressure was back to normal. Everyone agreed that the cartridge filter was issue and the pressure was good. The customer then went to another bathroom turned on the spigot and said wow this is good. Mitch told the customers as the well gets older the water and piping gets worse with iron and mineral buildup and sediment cartridges just can't keep up anymore and will clog very fast at this point. Mitch gave customers several options. 1st and cheapest option you don't run a filter at all. Customers response back to that option was they didn't want to drink that crap in the copper lines. If that was the option customer wanted they would have just paid Mitch a service call and Mitch would have left. 2nd. option we could put in a bigger size pump which would up the pressure to be able to push the water through the cartridges. When Mitch gave them this option customer ask how old pump was and Mitch told him he didn't know but putting in a bigger pump really isn't correcting the problem with the iron and minerals. 3rd option was to install a media filled backwash water softener. After the options were given to the customers husband looked at his wife and said I would like to put in the water softener because I'm tried of changing filters and I like the idea that the copper pipes aren't going to deteriorate and corrode any worse. Customers had newer plumbing fixtures and one already had a blueish green stain from the deterioration of the copper. After about an 1 hour of discussion and customers smoking cigarettes and talking back and forth to themselves and Mitch. Mitch told the customers I'm going to the truck to make some phone calls ya'll continue to discuss what you want to do. Mitch makes his phones calls and then walks back up to the house. Mitch asked the customers what did you decide? The customer (husband) said put in the water softener. Our team proceeds. When water softener was being turned on for the first time we bypassed the valves on top which bypasses the system for a brief clean out so the minerals that we disturbed in the lines does not go into the new unit. It's very heavy at this time because it is a flushing effect on empty lines. So we let all of that dirty mineral water dump into a 5gallon bucket at that point the customer said WOW look at that water and how dirty it is. Mitch told him that is the iron and minerals that was living in your lines and clogging your sediment cartridge. It was worst than what Mitch anticipated. After water softener is installed we and customers checked spigots on various fixtures pressure was GREAT! Customer paid with a credit card right on the spot. This water softener is a bluetooth unit and we had customer install app on phone to monitor water. Customer (wife) was very aggravated because she couldn't get logged on to the app store and she needed to get to a meeting. Around about 1pm we get a call from customer saying the water was cloudy. I (Heather) told them to give it a day that when you do things like this it stirs up iron and minerals in the lines. It is very common when turning water off and on and installing equipment all of the minerals that are in the lines after the new equipment can get dislodged therefore cloudy in the water and possibly clogging of screens and valves. Customer calls back about 1hr later and says the pressure is low. Customer wants us to come back that day. I tell customer I will have Mitch give them a call but they were currently working on another job in the rain. Mitch called customer right back and said we will be back out there in the morning. On Wednesday morning we go back around 9am and another company is there. Which is really weird! While there on Wednesday we checked over a few things customer had called about. Tiny leak in line, cloudy water and lower pressure in one shower faucet just when you go all the way to hot. This was the first time we had ever heard of just the hot water pressure being low. We fixed leak in the line but we didn't get a chance to address the pressure on the hot water side because the other company proceeded to take the spigot apart and found a lot of debris in the shower valve per the customer. Other company also told customer you have great water pressure. Customer is happy and nice and well tech leaves. About 2pm that day Mitch gets a call from the customer complaining how they feel water softener didn't fix the problem and they wanted us to take the water softener out and issue a refund. At this point once we have put in the water softener we can't take it out and use it in someone's home because the media is now contaminated and it would be a very timely job because all of the media is saturated. Why should we eat the cost of the water softener. Mitch proceeds to tell customer that the whole reason you put in a water softener is to keep the debris issue from not forming in the lines so you will never have a low water pressure problem again from iron and minerals. So once lines and valves are all cleaned out the low water pressure will not happen again. Customer tells Mitch he will dispute his credit card. Mitch said are you serious? Mitch said what do you want at this point are you wanting some money knocked off because taking the equipment out is not an option. Mitch then asked customer what are you going to do about the copper lines deteriorating. Customer said he was going to put in pex piping. Mitch said that does nothing for the copper that is in your walls. So I call customer back and very nicely tell him how this process works. They dispute the credit card we will rebuttal if credit card sides with them then I would sue them for the balance owed. Customer told me the whole story which I already knew. I told them I would talk with Mitch and call back. Mitch had already asked customer what will take to make you happy how much money do you want back? Although Mitch didn't feel like he owed him anything back. Mitch was trying to make peace. Customer called me again Wednesday afternoon around 4pm and wanted to talk about the situation I told customer I didn't have an issue discussing but we were going to take each issue step by step. Customer and I were both talking at the same time and customer proceeded to tell me to shut the *** up or I was going to **** listen. I told customer she wasn't going to speak to me like that. Husband then called me a "*" and told me he was recording me. Husband also threatened "come to my office" At that point I knew there was no reasoning with them and something fishy was going on. So basically what this whole thing boils down to is my company never lied to these people, we provided them a service that they ask for and a service that was needed. They were happy with our services and paid us while we were there. Why would they have paid us if we had not provided them with the service they expected. We are not denying something could have happen later but we never had the chance to figure it out. When you are dealing with older pipes sometimes we have to go back and backwash unit or clean out screens. Things do happen. Note: we never hung up not once. All of my well techs do a very great job of checking over all aspects of the well and explaining everything to the customer so we don't run into problems like this.

      Customer Response

Bold faced lies, this woman is the owners wife, she was not there, she wasn't involved in any of the conversations. She was the one who was cussing us and hung up, i have the entire conversation recorded. The only thing she said that was true is that we called because of no pressure. They never addressed that issue and within minutes of them leaving we called them back several times with concerns. She stayed they never had the chance to go back, but they did cone back and pitched a fit and yelled at me for calling a plumber. I have the texts to show all of this. Avoid this company like the plague. They also texted me later and said don't drink the water it isnt safe, your nitrates are 23. I pulled my tecent water test and had someone come and retest and my nitrates were 1-2 ppm. He lied just to mess with us on the way out. These people should be investigated. As soon as we expressed concerns about being upsold they immediately started talking about how she worked for a lawyer for 10 years. Trash people, family business, they do and say whatever they want and blame the customer if their are any issues or complaints. Its also not the secind complaint they have had, a simple google search shows almost the same issue we have with then recently.
