I chose this eye care because they accept my new insurance. An eye exam is $10 with my insurance. At my visit I was taken back to have several tests performed. I have been gong to the eye dr for 25 years so I am very familiar with the testing. This tech took me to several machines and only explained what it tested for. My previous eye dr told me when a test was not covered by any insurance because it was optional and I could choose to do it or not. This office did not say anything about optional testings that were done or inform me of a single extra cost that may occur. This seems fraudulent to me. I receive my itemized bill AFTER I paid but could not read it because I was told I needed to have my eye dilated, which is not necessary for an eye exam but this tech told me it is. Hours later I saw that I was charged for two optional tests that are not covered. I would never have allowed these if I was informed properly. I then looked up reviews of this facility and found out this is a common complaint and practice of this office. I would like there to be a notice of a violation of consent or a requirement for an office to disclose optional testing and let the client decide
