    We got a Shih Tzu puppy from Friendly Pets and this dog has turned out to be one of our best Shih Tzu puppies ever. The puppy was very social and we love this puppy! The staff were very helpful and have been helpful since our purchase of our Shih Tzu puppy.

    The puppies are absolutely precious. Sadly this adorable babies are not well taken care of. These poor babies have dry f**** near their rear, their paws. They have no room due to having to many in one, what I call, display case. They are treated more like objects first before as living creatures. It was my first time showing up and again the puppies adorable but they need better care and treatment while being there. The smaller animals seem neglected and to the point they offer "deals" to get ride of the animals. As a bonus. Something about that doesn't sit right with me.

    Our adorable puppies have plenty of room to play and get out multiple times a day to interact with consumers. They have 2 fulltime individuals from 8am to 6pm feeding, grooming, weighing and temping and caring for them everyday. The owner handmakes toys and blankets for them to snuggle in. We have 2 to 3 pups in a window depending on size. Any pup or bunny that is noted with a discounted price is due to their age. All of our pets get a home sometimes sooner, sometimes later, we believe they are all waiting for their forever home. We have found that offering pets at a discount encourages the consumer to consider adopting them. Every pet has been adopted since we opened in 1986. This is a family business that has put their whole world into these animals. They are fed high quality food and given high quality bedding and get lots of personal attention from the staff. Our Veterinarian checks in our pups every week at our shop. If the consumer has any more concerns we ask that they ask to speak with the staff. We are very proud of what we do.

    I was in the store and white bold man come up to me and told me I was being to loud when I was talking normal he rolled his eyes and then stomped off with a attitude while calling me a dumb as* me and my wife were stunned being we were actually talking normal and actually quite, as we walked around the store he was there WATCHING ME and giving dirty looks I went to complain on him but they told me he was a manager and must be having a OFF DAY that they could not do anything, I asked the man if he could please stop fallowing me around the store and he says I can do what I want at my store walks away again angry and says Im tired of black people I am shocked and just in disbelief I left the store and will never return, on another note the animals were contained in small clear boxes with 2 to 3 pups in each box no water food, this is animal abuse this store needs to be shut down I am in disbelief that they have a A+ just off of how the animals are in closed guess the world does not care about animals anymore smh this is worse then a dog pound someone do something.

    This incident has already been addressed once on BBB. You were asked to not curse audibly in the *************** by the Aquatics Manager. Instead of abiding by his request as we are a family friendly business, you proceeded to yell and curse continuously until you were asked to leave by multiple employees, you would not leave and we were forced to call security to ****** you out of the store. All of our enclosures are up to **** and ***** standards and regulations, every window has 1-2 water bottles 24/7, the puppies do not have water bowls to prevent frequent spilling, and to keep the water clean. The puppies are fed at 8 AM and 5 PM daily, they do not have all day access to food as it is not necessary. Again we are a diversely employed, small, family run business and this incident has absolutely nothing to do with race, and everything to do with you refusing to follow a simple request and being belligerent with our staff, management, and Friendly Center security.

    Apparently the BBB has not done their job if there are complaints about mistreatment or unsanitary pet conditions and the business has an A+ rating????!!!! I visited the store and they had 2 dogs in one cage. They were unable to move around in the cage. Being in cramped position all day is horrible. This is not the first time I have seen this either. I have not purchased a dog there as the prices are too high. There are also several bad reviews on ****** stating the same thing I saw. No toys, no water in the cages. I also heard a rumor from a prior employee that they put dogs down if they can't sell them before they are out of the cute puppy stage. I really hope it is not true. Someone needs to do something about this place!

    All of our enclosures are up to the standard of the **** as well as the *****, who we are licensed and regulated through. Dogs are social animals, and puppies much prefer being housed in groups over being by themselves. All enclosures are equipped with toys appropriate for the puppies age and chewing level, and all enclosures have 1-2 water bottles available to the puppies 24/7. Each puppy gets at least 30 minutes of daily enrichment outside of our Puppy Playtime program where patrons can spend time and play with the puppies. Are puppies are priced according to their quality, we have registered purebred and hybrid pups, they are all microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated prior to going home. We will have every single puppy until they are adopted, we do not send them away or put them down, so the rumor you have heard is simply that, a rumor. We hope now that you are better informed you will come and visit us again!

    Horrible place animals are in a small area its quite sad, they are very disrespectful they told my older brother to WATCH HIS MOUTH because he said **** thats a big fish. My brother is a grown man the man was very racist against blacks, they are horrible in there.

    All of our animal enclosures are up to the standard size mandated by the **** and *****. We are a small family run business and we cater to families, we expect all of our customers to act and speak appropriately while in store, this includes abstaining from profanity regardless of skin color. We have a diverse staff and can assure race had nothing to do with this incident. The man you are speaking about also became very aggressive with not only the head of the ******************* but other staff as well, and when asked to leave he refused and continued yelling and cursing throughout the store until we were forced to call security to ****** him out of the store.

    This is false he was not asked to leave the store and and also was not taking out by security I see this store also has a problem with lying. When I talk to another worker that worked there about what had just happened they *** ***lied he must have had a bad day everyone at the store was shaking their head at the worker he was following my brother which is black and the worker was white he wouldnt leave him alone all because he said **** thats a big fish I have it all over videotape and also people in the store who were saying he was in the wrong, this store is horrible and your lying to cover yourself but it work. As I stated this is a horrible story that animals are in horrible little boxes and yall employees are horrible and yall are very racist

    Very unsanitary and awful pet breeding store! These poor puppies and other animals are confined in tight spaces without any room. They look unhealthy and exhausted. This place needs to be shut down for their unethical behavior. They even have puppies on sale because theyve been there for too long. Why are these puppies in tight spaces with no room to walk? Why are they laying in their own feces? What happens to the puppies and other animals that dont get purchased? The fact that this place is open and has been for years is absolutely disgusting. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!

    First and foremost we are sorry you feel this way about us. We want to be clear in saying we are not breeders, we are solely a mom and pop pet shop. Puppies are placed on sale to quicken the speed that they find their furever homes, especially if there has been little interest in them. We will have every animal in this store until they are sold, they are not sent away until they find a loving home. All of our housing enclosures are up the standard of the United ***************** of *********** and Livestock as we are licensed by them and thoroughly regulated by them, we are sorry you do not agree with the standards they have set in place, which includes daily allotted exercise periods as well as daily enrichment through play and socialization. We pride ourselves on being very clean and having very healthy animals throughout the store, as soon as we see feces, urine or debris inside of any enclosure it is immediately cleaned and sanitized again up to and surpassing the **** standards. We hope to have answered your questions as well as cleared up any misconceptions you may have had, and hope that you will come visit us again better informed because we love pets as much as you do!

    Don't buy yor fish from this place.....I have had an established tank for 3 years and I wanted a congo tetra. I found one here after putting it in my tank all my fish are dying from ick. I will keep you updated if I chose to take legal action against this stoe.......updating that I have now lost well over $200 in Fisk and still trying to deal with this problem. If this store pops up in your search don't go there....

    The store is very busy. They have too many animals in a place that small. If it was a limit of people in a building. I don't understand why they can be overloaded with animals and people. It's the nicest place too just go look at animals. But too buy anything from that store we are supporting animal mills. Not just buying animals but buying a dog toy for 5 dollars or even less is supporting them. Employees are pretty nice when the money is coming in. When it comes to going back with issues they aren't nice. They just want to push you out the door so everyone else who might purchase an animal doesn't hear the deal with their business ethics.

    Thank you for reaching out to us, we try to do our best to help and interact with every customer that comes into our store. However, this weekend was one of the busiest shopping weekends of the entire year, for every business and with that, some people and things can be overlooked. As a small family owned business of 30+ years we strive to give the best to our customers. All of our animals come from reputable USDA licensed breeders and are under veterinary care. Unfortunately, we do not have the luxury of being able to own a large store front, therefore, space is somewhat limited within our store and especially during the weekends can get very busy. If you had an issue with a specific employee in general or was unsatisfied with a purchase you made please give us the details so that we may assist you better.

    I purchased what I thought was a Morkie from Friendly Pets of Greensboro in September of 2020. The dog was supposed to max out at 7 pounds. When she hit 13 pounds I decided to DNA test her. The results came back and she is 50% Yorkie, 33% Maltese, 13% Poodle, 2% Biewer Terrier, and 2% Havanese. I paid way too much money $2968.82 for a Mutt instead of the “Designer” breed I was promised and the paperwork indicated. Don’t get me wrong; I love my dog and am thrilled to have her, but feel cheated for not getting what I was promised.

    We apologize for your dissatisfactory experience with us, however it is stated in our Limited Puppy Warranty, that was signed and initialed by you at the time of purchase, under the section Warranty Conditions that we do not cover DNA testing as the "ancestral" results have no standing with registration bodies and do not effect a puppies purebred status if the puppy were to be a purebred breed. This is because the DNA test itself simply matches haplotypes found in the puppies saliva to the haplotypes they have collected and decided to use as the breed standard in the DNA testing company's database.
