On May 27, 2024 my husband and I (******** & ******* ******) along with my daughter visited In Your Home Furnishing (IYHF) Showroom looking to purchase a leather 3pc reclining sofa set.We agreed to order the ***** three piece reclining leather set from the catalog totaling $6448.40. the remaining balance of $5000.00 after paying a deposit of $1448.40. We agreed to the 24 months interest free option. In Your Home Furnishings initially gives a custom furniture manufacture completion date of 6-8 weeks (possibly 8-10 weeks) from the date of the order submission. During the 6-8 weeks, we received no communication regarding the status of our furniture. I decided to text them for an update. July 8 - I was given July 26 as our manufacture delivery date. July 30 - it is being shipped. August 13 - the delivery to our home should be August 30th. August 31 - delivery is 7-10 days out. September 8 - delivery date is September 19. September 20 - delivery date October 7. (**** initiated and canceled our contract with them)On September 20, I had a verbal conversation with ****** confirming that our furniture would be delivered to our home on October 7th. Immediately after hanging up, I received a text message from ****** stating that the manager (*******) wanted her to relay the following to me:At this time, after careful consideration", we feel that we may not be able to meet your expectations. As a result, we would like to offer you a full refund. **** has a 30 day open window to refund any money paid. Please let In Your Home Furnishings know if you would like to move forward with is process. Thank you for your time in this matter.I immediately responded, yes I would like to proceed with a FULL REFUND (deposit of $1448.40 + $5000.00 charge to Synchrony.Initial Complaint

In 2016, I placed an AICO ************************* chaise lounge on layaway with this store. I was told that this ********* would be ordered once it was halfway paid off. I was making payments toward it and so was my mother. Before I had the chaise halfway paid off, the store claims they ordered it but that the manufacturer was having trouble making the item. This occurred around 2020 and of course they blamed it on the pandemic. I paid off the chaise in full in September 2021 and they said they would reorder it. A year goes by with little to no word from them. When I inquired about it they said they had received it from AICO, but that a leg was broken on it and it was sent back. They did not inform me of this or that it had even shipped. They then said that AICO no longer made this chaise. They said they could give me store credit but could not refund me my money. After looking around their store, I inquired about a love seat, which was priced at $1400 from them. The same loveseat could have been purchased from Ashley ********* for $700 so this did not seem like a good way to use my store credit. They also claimed to price match other stores, there is a sign on their front door that says so, but they refused to price match that piece of *********. Clearly their price match is a lie. I did some research and found that AICO still makes the chaise I ordered, just in a different color, and that this other color was in stock. I requested a change order for them to order this color instead in july 2023. It is now May 2024 and still no sign of this chaise that they supposedly had submitted an order for. I have requested proof of order confirmation from them or anything that states this was ordered (paper trail, etc) but they said they didnt have anything they could email me and that they only order over the phone. They keep saying it has not shipped, but I truly think they never ordered it and have no plans to follow through on my order. A completely fraudulent business.Initial Complaint

Purchased furniture 1/16/2023 was told it would arrive in 6/8weeks. After 20 weeks was told it was on truck for delivery. Was told at 25 weeks that as delivery date of 7/21/2023 to pay complete amount. I paid amount and then next day delivery date was pushed out for 8/5/2023. Employees have done nothing but lied. Have asked for refund but no solution yet.Business response

In no way do or would In Your Home Furnishings lie to any of our valued customers. I, *************************** would be more than glad to sit down with ****************** and show proof of the information that customer service has provided to him every week. Also, customer service has stayed in contact with ****************** each week providing him with a status. The product was on delay and is setting at the ports to ship to our facility. We only give ****************** a true estimate of delivery and we always state that date can change.

Yes we were told weekly or biweekly of update until July 12 or 13th which we were then contacted by an employee that our delivery date would be 7/22/2023 and that we would have to pay remaining amount (which we did) and then was notified next day that delivery would not happen and that she couldnt refund the last payment. Contacted **************** to try and find shipment but they could not find order. Needed a number from company for that.Initial Complaint

Bought bedroom suite and paid 1/2 down in 8/2021 6 to 8 wks to deliver and never came after 28 wks I canceled because they never got my suite. They breached our contract and haven't return my down payment. I try to do business with a mom and pop business but the owner lied and never called me back either as I was trying to be patient with them. In Your Home Furnishings has taken ******* from me and acts like I'm the bad guy here. I waited 28 wks for my suite and all they ever got was a bed.Business response

Consumer purchased product and signed an ALL SALES FINAL contract. Product came in and consumer does not want the custom order product that he ordered in goof faith. IYHF ordered the product in good faith. Consumer was communicated that they could exchange.Initial Complaint

You have a pattern with this company in your home furnishings ******* **- i noticed all reports. wish i checked before!!! 7/10/21 We put 50% down on furniture. They told us about 2 months verbally by ****** (who seemed to be very nice at time)They did give paper warning could be up to 25 weeks. 9/21 they said expect delivery 10/21 i sold my chairs in LR, they call & mid oct they say 11/21 then in dec 12/21. they stop calling with updates. I called dec they said Feb. I had enough!! Asked to speak to manager they said no one was there they would call back . 1 week no call. I call again - no mgr there. left message again and called again left vm on 3 different voice mail boxes no return and 1 more week again. On 1/29/22 my husband and i went to store & asked for Mgr. they said no mgr in store. Told the person at counter the story, They said we could see if we wanted something else. we looked, nothing comparable. They said we could talk to another person. OMG This person was extremely rude, After getting no where with her, She said they couldnt credit our money debit/visa or give us a check & to call the Mgr Monday. My husband asked for mgr name - she only gave first name refused to give the last name other and other nasty words said!! . The place was a mess makes me wonder if they are going out of business. I feel they are in business of swindling using deposit money for floating or whatever. We were scammed and to top it off this women completely lied causing legal action we did not initiate which should be on tape. Horrible person , Horrible business obviously they have this scam as their business plan. Reading past complaints they often lie to BBB in responses to buy time. We want our money back please. while we were in store a couple was there trying to find mgr, $6000 worth of furniture came damaged and no one would help them. ours was $2125, its a lot of money with 00 goods on return!!! In Your Home Furnishings isn't able to comment on this complaint due to Mr. *********** claiming to be a police officer while pulling his badge out at out customer service associates. ************************* was contacted regarding his actions. In Your Home Furnishings will be glad to respond once the investigation is complete.

I am rejecting this response because:False accusations- false report made by IYHF by the company are being addressed with the **********. we received a call from IYHF 1/31/22 from ****** saying they are mailing the refund today. Please keep this open until we are in receipt of our full refund. Thank You for processing this so quickly!
