1 starI live in the apartments behind the *** dealership at ****************************************************************For the last month there has been numerous car alarms going off day and night.I spoke to someone on the phone, left several messages, finally I put a review on their website and the problem continues. I'm sure if one of the employees had a neighbor with this issue they would speak to that neighbor and encourage them to take the car in and have a mechanic look at it. I'm sure they have several mechanics at this car dealership yet they just let this continue.I see all the civic awards that the York's have won which puzzles me as to why they chose not to be good neighbors.Review fromLloyd S

1 starI would not recommend doing business with this dealership. I recently put a deposit on a car that was scheduled to be delivered to the dealership. I didn’t order the car but it was an incoming unit for inventory. I changed my mind before it arrived and they weren’t willing to refund my $1000 deposit. Customer service is not something they hold dear. My attorney will be in touch!Review fromEvan F

1 starThis is an absolutely horrible place to do business with, with the options available in NC to purchase or service a Toyota, be sure to steer clear of this business. Once you’ve purchased a vehicle they could care less about you. Have been trying to contact their general manager and customer relations for an issue for going on a month to no avail, they will not respond to an email, voicemails are never returned, when they finally do call and ask you to return the call they are never available and when you leave a voicemail they will not return phone calls or emails. I’ve expressed being out of town on business but apparently it’s too difficult to return an email while they’re busy lying to other clients to get them to purchase a vehicle. Everything this dealership has told me has been false, deceitful and once they’ve earned your business you mean nothing to them. Go anywhere but Vann York Toyota.Review fromSusan H

1 starI took my 2021 Honda HRV in for a 30,000 mile check-up today, end of the day appointment. Vann York Honda physically had my car in their service department for exactly (no lie) 2 hours. However, when I questioned the labor charges at check-out was told I was billed for over 3 hours. HOW CAN THAT BE?! I'm not a rich girl, just trying to take care of my car! So did more than one person work on my car? Did the technician NOT do all the work he said he did on my receipts? Does Vann York Honda have a policy that purposely keeps vehicles in their care for services longer than necessary so they can charge us more?! Not sure who checked me out when the car was ready but his explanation was not satisfactory. Tomorrow I will be calling my service advisor for help. Got my automated text from her "Thank you for choosing VANN YORK HONDA for your service needs. If your experience was anything but excellent, please let me know." Well you betcha I will let you know! 2 HOURS OF LABOR, NOT 3+hours!!! I want my money back (the difference from what I was actually charged)!Review fromJudith G

1 starUntil now, I have been very pleased with service received at Vann York. Unfortunately, it seems that I purchased a lemon, 2022 GMC Acadia SLE. I have had continuous problems with this vehicle. My most recent issue is with the fuel purge valve - engine light is on (recently goes off and then comes on again). Part has been ordered but is on back order with no expected date to receive. I have been told that the car is safe to drive and I am planning on making a trip to Alabama the end of this month. I do not feel that a car is safe to drive with a defective part. What am I to do if I am on the highway and have issues. I did speak with the Assistant Sales Manager who gave me 3 options, all to the dealers advantage, not mine. They have offered to buy the car back but I'm sure not at what the car is worth, as I was told it was worth more now than when I purchased it; put me in a used car; put me in a 2023 Terrain which is less expensive and a smaller car than what I purchased. I have a low interest rate on my current car loan and naturally the interest rate would be higher meaning that the new purchase with higher interest rate would be approximately the same monthly payment I am making now would be about the same, give or take. Why would I take a lesser vehicle at the same monthly rate? I feel that the dealer is not making me the best offer as this is a General Motors lemon, which is not my fault. Too, I find it difficult to believe that of all the GM dealers in the United States that this part is on back order. I need a better resolution to this problem, one that is to my advantage.,Review fromJulie F

1 starI bought a vehicle from Vann York Toyota in February. I paid in full. I was asked to send an out of state inspection on my car to process the title work (two weeks after purchase). I mailed it within 2 business days of the request. I was told that my paperwork was in Ohio last week by the dealership. There is no evidence of the paperwork in the state of Ohio and my temporary tags expire tomorrow. I have called numerous times to several different people. I have left voicemails. I have emailed. I have received no help. This is the most uncommunicative and irresponsible business I have ever experienced.Review fromKyle C

1 starI was trading my truck in for a new CR-V and we had everything worked out. The only issue was that I the bank hadn’t mailed me the tittle for my truck. That was November 18th. On that same day they told me that I needed to put down at least $500 to save the vehicle until I got my tittle. I paid the remainder of what I owed. It was almost an outright trade one for one. They low balled me on my trade in. I was alright with that for the most part because I wanted/needed a better vehicle for my family. Every couple of days I text the person I was dealing with letting them know I’m still waiting on the tittle to be mailed in. They first off hardly ever replied to text. On the 27th I told them I was still waiting. He replied that day and said ok I’ll let the sales manager know. Today December 5th 2022 I got my tittle in the mail. I text him and told him that I received it. He said ok I’ll call you when I get in. I’m surprised my sales manager hasn’t reached out to you. I said ok. You still have the car right? He said no they sold it. So a week went by with no communication from their end and then bam they sold to car to someone else. I never got a call, email, text, or anything. They also didn’t refund my money until today when I made a big fuss about how they treat their customers and how they sale cars that people basically already put down payments on. Go somewhere else to a company dealership that is more professional.Review fromCalvin D

1 starI had the unfortunate experience of taking my 2007 Cadillac Escalade to Vann York Chevrolet and Buick GMC Cadillac, Inc. for repairs on the right side of the manifold (broken bolts) in which created an exhaust leak. They cracked the left side of my engine, soiled the inside of my Cadillac, and damaged my radiator. I told them to take my vehicle to Bill Black Cadillac so they could repair the vehicle. They were most responsible for the damages and did not want to take responsibility. They were very unprofessional, disrespectful and lacked empathy. I had to take Vann York Chevrolet and Buick GMC Cadillac, Inc. to court in order to recover my money for the damages caused to my vehicle. I won the case and was awarded a smaller portion compared to the actual cost of the damages. Please reconsider doing business with company at all cost!!! Also be mindful and beware, they have different dealerships with their name plastered as Vann York!!!
